The toe bridge extends from the strap through the foot opening and through the toe bridge opening of the sole. A button is configured to secure the toe bridge to the sole by preventing the toe bridge from being pulled out of the toe bridge opening. The button has a shape that completes the tread pattern. In embodiments, the shoe is a bathing sandal.
