INTEGRATED MONITORING CAPACITY OF A POWER BANK BATTERY AND DEVICES CHARGED THEREWITH

A portable power bank including a rechargeable battery and/or a remote server may detect loss of capacity in the power bank battery. The power bank and/or remote server determines a nominal capacity of the power bank, and an actual capacity of the power bank, the actual capacity being less than the nominal capacity. The power bank and/or remote server compares the actual capacity to the nominal capacity to determine a health value of the power bank battery. When the power bank battery health value is at or below a threshold value, the power bank and/or remote server transmits an indication of the health value.

The present disclosure relates to systems, devices, and methods for analyzing health of vehicle batteries. Vehicle batteries tend to degrade over time. The described systems, devices, and methods quantify this degradation (or quantify remaining health of the battery) by comparing average energy used to charge or discharge the battery by a charge level unit to a nominal quantity of energy used to charge or discharge a battery in optimal health by a charge level unit. Charge data for previous charge events of the vehicle battery can be used in the calculation, and can be filtered by identifying qualified charge events based on at least one of a number of metrics. Usage data for previous usage events of the vehicle battery can be used in the calculation, and can be filtered by identifying qualified usage events or subgroups of usage event based on at least one of a number of metrics.

Battery Energy Storage System for Powering an Electro-Mechanical Workover Rig

A system for powering 100% of an oil and gas workover rig's operations with a battery energy storage system (“BESS”). The system consists of three major interconnected components: a BESS, a power conversion system (“PCS”), and a workover rig. The power system is specifically designed for a retrofitted electro-mechanical workover rig (with either an alternating current or direct current electric drive) which is compatible with the BESS. Unlike other emerging industrial applications, a battery cannot be mounted on the workover rig due to logistical and size constraints, thus requiring a novel modular and mobile system design.

VEHICLE BATTERY DIAGNOSIS METHOD AND SYSTEM

A vehicle battery diagnosis method and system are provided. A controller completes charging a battery by stopping supply of current from a charger to the battery. The controller measures a relaxation voltage corresponding to a decrement of a voltage of the battery during a predetermined time period directly after the charging of the battery is completed. The controller estimates the state of health (SoH) of the battery in accordance with the relaxation voltage.
