AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICE
An aerosol-generating device is disclosed. The aerosol-generating device includes a first container accommodating an aerosol-generating substance, a heater heating the aerosol-generating substance, a second container configured to be rotatable and including chambers, a rotation detection sensor sensing rotation of the second container, and a controller. The controller determines any one of the chambers to be an application chamber through which an aerosol passes based on a signal received from the rotation detection sensor, and determines usage of a chamber determined to be the application chamber. The heater is heated to a first temperature or higher when the usage is equal to or greater than a first reference and less than a second reference, and is heated to a second temperature or higher when the usage is equal to or greater than the second reference and less than a third reference. The second temperature is higher than the first temperature.
DUAL-PURPOSE DRIVE AND CHARGER SYSTEMS AND METHODS THEREOF
In an example embodiment, a system includes an inverter configured to operate in at least one of a charging mode or a drive mode, a cascaded direct current (DC)-DC converter, the DC-DC converter including a first portion of the inverter and at least one controller configured to selectively couple the first portion of the inverter to a first portion of the cascaded DC-DC converter during the charging mode, and selectively couple the inverter to a second portion of the cascaded DC-DC converter during the drive mode.
MOBILE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING SYSTEM
A mobile electric vehicle charging system may include a fuel cell configured to generate electric power required to drive a vehicle, a main battery configured to store electric power generated by the fuel cell, a bidirectional power converter configured to control electric power input to and output from the main battery, a mobile charger configured to supply electric power to charge another vehicle, and a high-voltage junction box for divergence, configured to distribute electric power generated by the fuel cell to the bidirectional power converter and the mobile charger.
CHARGING CABINET, BATTERY PACK, AND CHARGING SYSTEM
A charging cabinet includes a power conversion circuit, an input interface, and a plurality of output interfaces. An input end of the power conversion circuit is connected to the input interface. The power conversion circuit converts an alternating current supplied by an alternating current power grid into a direct current, and then charges a plurality of battery packs by using the direct current.
Device movement detection in a multi-coil charging surface
Systems, methods and apparatus for wireless charging are disclosed. A charging device has a plurality of charging cells provided on a charging surface provided at a charging surface of the wireless charging device, and a controller. The controller may be configured to provide a charging current to at least one active transmitting coil in the charging surface, measure voltages across three or more transmitting coils in the charging surface and determine that the chargeable device is in motion across the charging surface based on changes in the voltages measured across the three or more transmitting coils. The charging current may cause a wireless transfer of power through the at least one active transmitting coil to a chargeable device located on the charging surface.
Power management for applications having duty-cycled high peak supply currents
A method for power management for applications having duty-cycled high peak supply currents includes charging a buffer capacitor with a first current supplied by a battery, wherein the first current is limited by a current limiter. A load is supplied with a second current supplied by the buffer capacitor, wherein the second current comprises a pulsed current. The current limiter is controlled with at least one of a plurality of sensor inputs to limit a capacity degradation of the battery.
BATTERY PACK AND ELECTRICAL APPARATUS USING SAME
The present invention detects a predictive abnormal phenomenon in a battery pack and prevents the use of the battery pack before power is shut off at a fuse. The battery pack comprises: a battery cell; a connection unit which is electrically connected to the battery cell and is connected to an external electrical apparatus main body; and a control unit which controls the battery cell, wherein, when detecting an abnormal state such as chattering, the control unit causes a charge prevention signal (LS) and a discharge prevention signal (LD) to be continuously output and makes the charge and discharge of the battery pack impossible (steps 226-228). The continuous output of these prevention signals is configured not to be negated by an operation of a user, and the battery pack can be made unusable by software control.
CONTROLLER FOR VEHICLE, AND CHARGING SYSTEM
A server includes a communication device and a processor. The communication device obtains a power rate unit price dependent on a region where external charging is performed and a time slot when external charging is performed. The processor calculates a first power rate indicating a power rate when the external charging is performed with a first power feeding facility provided at a departure place before departure of a vehicle, calculates a second power rate indicating a power rate when the external charging is performed with a second power feeding facility provided in the vicinity of a traveling route after departure of the vehicle, and when the second power rate is lower than the first power rate, reduces an amount of power feeding during the external charging with the first power feeding facility, as compared with when the second power rate is equal to or higher than the first power rate.
USB-PD supply interface and associated method
An embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a power supply interface comprising: a converter delivering a first DC voltage; a resistor connected between the converter and an output terminal of the interface delivering a second DC voltage; a first circuit delivering a second signal representative of a difference between the second DC voltage and a voltage threshold when a first signal is in a first state, and at a default value otherwise; a second circuit delivering a third signal representative of a value of a current in first resistor multiplied by a gain of the third circuit, and modifying the gain based on the second signal; and a third circuit configured to deliver a signal for controlling the converter based at least on the third signal.
Wireless charging with multiple charging locations
A charging status or a location of a wireless charger is provided. A vehicle may charge at a particular wireless charger based at least in part on the charging status of the wireless charger and/or the location of the wireless charger.
