A motor including a rotating portion that rotates about a center axis that extends vertically and a stationary portion that rotatably supports the rotating portion. The stationary portion includes a stator including a coil, radially facing at least a portion of the rotating portion, a base disposed axially below the stator, a circuit board disposed axially between the stator and the base, a conductor electrically connected to the coil and the circuit board, including an extending portion extending axially downward from the circuit board, and a resin portion covering the circuit board and the conductor, connecting the base and the stator. The base is provided in its axially upper surface with an opening that overlaps the conductor when viewed axially.

Motor and mounting method

A connection terminal includes a lower terminal portion, a bent portion, and an upper terminal portion. The bent portion extends radially inward from an upper end of the lower terminal portion. The upper terminal portion extends axially upward from a radially inner end of the bent portion. The upper terminal portion is located radially inside a radially inner end surface of a tooth. In a process of manufacturing a motor, a rotor main body is inserted into a radially inner side of a stator core, using a space defined radially inside the lower terminal portion.

MULTI-TUNNEL ELECTRIC MACHINE

Disclosed are various embodiments for an electric machine where the stator is a coil assembly and the rotor is a magnetic toroidal cylindrical tunnel or where the rotor is a coil assembly and the stator is a magnetic toroidal cylindrical tunnel.

A motor includes a stator having stacking coil units with a nonmagnetic body arranged between, and a rotatable rotor. Each of the coil units includes a coil, and a stator core. The coil includes an annular winding. The stator core is arranged to surround at least part of the winding. The stator core includes projections formed on axial ends of the stator core, alternately arranged in a circumferential direction, and projecting radially toward the rotor from the axial ends. The coil includes the winding and two leads extending from the winding. At least one of a first and a second of the two leads extends between stator cores of two of the coil units. A magnet pole is arranged in one of inner and outer circumferential portions of the stator core, and the first and second leads are arranged in an other one of inner and outer circumferential portions.

COOLING SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRIC MACHINE HAVING A WOUND FIELD ROTOR

A wound field rotor includes a shaft having an outer surface, an inner surface defining a flow path, and an opening defining a passage extending from the flow path through the outer surface. A plurality of laminations is mounted to the outer surface. The plurality of laminations includes an inner annular surface disposed on the shaft and an outer annular surface defining a plurality of rotor teeth. A plurality of field windings is disposed about corresponding ones of the plurality of rotor teeth. A first portion of the plurality of rotor laminations includes a first passage portion that extends from the inner annular surface radially outwardly and is fluidically connected to the passage, and a second portion of the plurality or rotor laminations adjacent the first portion includes a second passage portion that includes a first end that registers with the first passage portion and a second end.

ELECTRIC WATER PUMP

An electric water pump is configured to reduce an axial distance between a stator and a rotor. Since a separator of a stator casing is formed so as not to cover an upper surface of a stator, the axial thickness of the separator is reduced and the axial distance between the stator and the rotor is also reduced. The reduction in the axial distance allows a motor to have increased output and efficiency.

A rotating electrical machine is provided with: a plurality of bus bars that provide an electrical relay between an external power line, which is positioned on the outside of a housing, and a multiphase coil; an insulation cover that is mounted on the plurality of bus bars with a prescribed gap between each, and covers at least part of the bottom surface of each bus bar; and a coolant supply means that supplies a cooling fluid, which cools a stator, inside the housing. A through-hole, which vertically penetrates a bottom surface, is formed on the bottom surface of the insulation cover.
