Motor dampener and drive train for plumbing tools
Motor dampening provisions are described. Incorporation and use of the motor dampener(s) in a rotary type drain cleaning machine enables elimination of a clutch in the machine. Also described are clutch-free drive systems using the motor dampener(s). Also described are torque countering members that are used in conjunction with the motor dampener(s).
Electric commutating ratchet tool
The invention is an electric commutating ratchet tool comprising: a head; a ratchet mechanism with a rotating member and a latch member; the rotating member is capable of rotating, the latch member is capable of displacing and controlling rotation direction of the rotating member; and a commutating device with a commutating member, a magnetic driving member and a magnetic actuating unit; the commutating member is capable of displacing to abut against the latch member; the magnetic actuating unit is opposite to the magnetic driving member, either the magnetic actuating unit or the magnetic driving member is disposed on the commutating member; the magnetic actuating unit is at least one electromagnet; magnetic direction is changed through each of the electromagnets, so that the magnetic driving member is magnetically driven to change a position of the latch member.

ACTUATOR AND COMPACT EGR VALVE
An actuator is driven by a brushless motor having a rotor with axially extended magnets, permitting axial movement of the rotor while maintaining overlap between the magnets and a stator secured in a fixed position. The rotor is engaged with a fixed structure by a connection such as a ramp or thread that translates rotation into axial movement of the rotor along a rotational axis of the actuator. A valve member coupled to the rotor moves axially between a closed position and a range of positions that regulate fluid flow through a valve. A motor control circuit applies power to the stator coils to rotate the rotor and coupled valve member to a desired axial position and maintain the rotor and valve member at the selected position. The rotor and valve member may be biased toward a rotational position corresponding to a closed position of the valve member.
Gimbal motor mechanical limiting device and gimbal thereof
The present application discloses a motor mechanical limiting device for limiting rotation of a motor. The device includes: a limiting ring, a first limiting device, and a second limiting device. The first limiting device is fixedly connected on a rotor of motor. The second limiting device is fixed on a motor stator. The limiting ring is in bearing connection with the rotor of motor. The limiting ring protrudes to form a stopping edge. Both the first limiting device and the second limiting device are located on a circumferential rotation path of the stopping edge, and the second limiting device is provided with a region for the first limiting device to pass through.

Generator arrangements and methods of generating electric power with generator arrangements
A generator arrangement includes a housing with a mounting feature, a main generator with an outboard shaft arranged within the housing and axially offset from the mounting feature along a rotation axis, and a permanent magnet generator. The permanent magnet generator has an inboard shaft arranged within the housing between the main generator and the mounting feature. The outboard shaft is coupled to the inboard shaft to provide rotation to the main generator through the permanent magnet generator. Accessory gearboxes and methods of generating electrical power are also described.
Line dispensing device with Eddy current braking for use with climbing and evacuation
Line dispensing devices include a coupling transmission, a retraction mechanism, and a rotor that rotates around a shaft. Rotation of the rotor causes a portion of at least one pivotable member to move into and out of a magnetic field.
Eddy current brake configurations
Described herein are eddy current brakes and associated methods of their use, particularly configurations that have a kinematic relationship with at least two rotational degrees of freedom used to tune operation of the brake or apparatus in which the brake is located.
