The heat transmission body may be arranged along the axial direction between at least one housing part of the plurality of housing parts and the rotor. The at least one heat transmission body and the at least one housing part may bound a coolant space through which a coolant is flowable. At least one of the plurality of housing parts may include an attachment section to which the at least one heat transmission body is attached. The bearing device may be disposed on the attachment section.

An electric machine for a vehicle is disclosed. The electric machine includes a stator and a rotor rotatable relative to the stator about a rotational axis that defines an axial direction. A housing at least partially surrounds a housing interior and includes a first housing part and a second housing part that bound the housing interior. The rotor is rotatably mounted on the first housing part and the second housing part via a bearing device. At least one heat transmission body is arranged along the axial direction between at least one of the first and second housing parts and the rotor. The heat transmission body bounds, together with the at least one of the first and second housing parts, a coolant space through which a coolant can flow.

The bearing cooling system enables heat generated by the bearings to be transferred through the flywheel shaft to a heat sink disposed within a cavity in the end of the flywheel shaft, or to a liquid coolant circulating within the cavity.

The first segments extend from a radially inner portion of the segmented body to a radially outer portion of the segmented body. The second segments are axially stacked in alteration with the first layers along an axis of the segmented body. The first segments have thermal conductivity greater than thermal conductivity of the second segments for transferring heat from the radially outer portion of the segmented body to the radially inner portion of the segmented body.

An electric drive module having a motor and an inverter that are disposed in a housing The motor includes a stator, which has a plurality of sets of windings. The inverter has a plurality of power semiconductors, which are mounted into a retaining member, an end plate, which is sealingly coupled to the retaining member, and an inlet port that extends through the end plate. Sets of the semiconductor devices are electrically coupled to corresponding sets of the windings. Power terminals on the semiconductor devices are coupled to a heat sink. Fins on the heat sinks extend into an annular region that is adjacent to axial ends of the windings. At least one of the retaining member and the end plate is sealingly coupled to the housing assembly. The inlet port, the annular region and cooling passages in the stator are coupled in fluid communication.

The electronic device and the two-phase dielectric material are contained in the hermetic enclosure formed by the wall of the stator and the covers coupled with stator, and the two-phase dielectric material is in contact with the wall of the stator and the electronic device to cool the stator and the electronic device by transitioning between a liquid phase and a gaseous phase, conduction, and convection.

The base is produced by pouring cast metal into a mold cavity to replace a pattern having a predetermined sublimation temperature. The base includes a preformed heat-sink member comprising a plurality of heat-sink fin portions and at least one anchor portion embedded at least partially in the pattern, and a base body comprising an enclosed base portion and a holder portion for receiving and holding the at least one anchor portion. By virtue of the invented method, the heat-sink member having an extremely thin thickness can be mounted on the base body and the overall surface area of the heat-sink base is increased considerably.
