Field modulated doubly salient motor and design method for distribution of salient pole teeth thereof

A field modulated doubly salient motor and a design method for a distribution of salient pole teeth thereof are provided. The motor includes a stator and a mover, wherein the stator includes a stator core, two sets of windings, and two sets of permanent magnets. Each of the stator teeth is split into two field winding teeth, and each of the field winding teeth is split into two salient pole teeth. The two sets of windings are respectively armature windings and field windings, wherein the armature windings are wound around stator teeth, and the field windings are wound around adjacent field winding teeth that are split from different stator teeth. The two sets of tangentially magnetized permanent magnets are respectively placed on openings and bottoms of field winding slots, and permanent magnets placed in the same slot or at the same positions of adjacent slots have opposite polarities.

PERMANENT MAGNET TYPE ROTATING ELECTRICAL MACHINE

A permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine includes a stator, a rotor core having first and second magnet inserting holes, and permanent magnets. A partition wall is defined between a first end of each of the first magnet inserting holes and a second end of the associated one of the second magnet inserting holes. In a section radially outward of the first and second ends, a bulging portion is arranged between a surface extending along the permanent magnet in the magnet inserting hole and a surface of the partition wall. The bulging portion has a first curved surface continuous with the surface of the partition wall and a second curved surface continuous with the surface extending along the permanent magnet in the first magnet inserting hole or the second magnet inserting hole. The curvature of the first curved surface is smaller than the curvature of the second curved surface.

Each adjacent pair of the magnets along the circumferential direction respectively has an adjacent pair of pole surfaces, with the adjacent pair of pole surfaces having a same polarity.

Wherein the asymmetric magnetic pole type of permanent magnet rotor is provided with first magnetic pole groups and second magnetic pole groups, the first magnetic pole groups and the second magnetic pole groups are of an asymmetric structure, polarities of outer sides of the first magnetic pole groups and the second magnetic pole groups are distributed in a manner of N poles and S poles arranged at intervals. A utilization of inner space of the motor rotor can be improved, the performance of the motor is improved, and the costs of the motor are reduced.

The wound-field synchronous machine includes a stationary portion that includes a main armature winding and a rotating portion that includes a main field winding that receives excitation from the flux-regulated PMM. The control coil controller controls current supplied to the control coil of the flux-regulated PMM to selectively control magnetic flux presented to the rotating armature windings.
