METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR VOLTAGE REGULATION
Methods and apparatus provide compensation for impedance changes in a network energized by an amplifier, such as a class E amplifier. In embodiments, bus voltage amplifier fundamental AC output voltage can be used to generate a feedback signal for adjusting impedance of one or more components in the network. In embodiments, the amplifier fundamental AC output voltage is determined from current to the load, wherein the load is coupled to the amplifier by an LCL impedance matching network.
Switched-capacitor multilevel inverter with self-voltage-balancing for high-frequency power distribution system
Switched capacitor multilevel inverter (SCMLI) configuration for high-frequency medium voltage applications is presented. A 5L-SCMLI basic configuration is further extended to 9L operation with a reduced number of active switches having self voltage boosting and balancing ability. Further, the proposed 9L-SCMLI is extended up to n level being considered as the basic configuration for the extension of horizontal extension (HE) and vertical extension (VE). A generalized switching table is provided for the proposed extensions. Design of the size of capacitor demonstrated for the proposed 9L-SCMLI.
POWER CONVERSION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
The application discloses a power conversion system and a controlling method of the same. The power conversion system includes: n choppers, comprising n switching arms connected in parallel, each chopper including: the switching arm, an inductor having a first end connected to a midpoint of the switching arm, and a first capacitor connected in parallel to the switching arm; and n DC components corresponding to the n choppers with a one-to-one relation, wherein one of the DC components is a DC power supply or a DC load, first ends of the DC components are connected together, and a second end of each of the DC components is connected to a second ends of the inductor of the corresponding chopper, where n is a natural number of 2 or more.
CONVERTER
A converter includes a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side switching circuits and a transformer. The first end includes a first positive terminal and a first negative terminal. The second end includes a second positive terminal and a second negative terminal. The first side switching circuit is coupled to the first end and includes a first bridge arm and a second bridge arm. Two terminals of the first bridge arm are coupled to the first positive terminal and the first negative terminal respectively. Two terminals of the second bridge arm are coupled to the first positive terminal and the second positive terminal respectively. The transformer includes a first side winding coupled to the first side switching circuit and a second side winding coupled to the second side switching circuit. The turns ratio of the first side winding and the second side winding is N:1.
Power control converter and method for controlling power between two AC power units
A power transmission unit for controlling a flow of electric energy between two AC power units is provided. The power transmission unit comprises a main transformer having a first winding and a second winding as well as a switchable auxiliary AC unit for applying a tunable auxiliary AC voltage across an auxiliary AC side of the auxiliary AC unit. The auxiliary AC side is connected in series with the first winding of the main transformer to form a series connection. Further, a power conversion unit comprising the power transmission unit and two AC power units as well as a method for controlling a flow of electric energy by using such a power conversion unit are provided.
ANALOGUE-TO-DIGITAL CONVERSION METHOD OF PIPELINED ANALOGUE-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER AND PIPELINED ANALOGUE-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER
The disclosure belongs to the field of integrated circuits, and is used for reducing an area overhead and a power consumption of a pipelined analog-to-digital converter. Each stage of the pipelined analog-to-digital converter according to the disclosure comprises an analogue-to-digital converter, a digital-to-analog converter, a subtractor and an amplifier. According to the disclosure, an amplification time of the pipelined ADC is used for extra quantization, and a number of bits of each ADC is reduced on the premise of not increasing a number of stages of the pipelined ADC, so that a scale of each circuit is greatly reduced, and the power consumption and the area overhead are reduced.
POWER SUPPLY DEVICE USING INTELLIGENT PRE-REGULATOR
A power supply unit using intellectual pre-regulator which includes an input port connected to a power source realized as battery or generator (hereinafter, it is called as ‘battery’), an output port connected to an electronic device, a voltage dropping part connected between said input port and said output port to drop the input voltage to match it to the voltage required by said electronic device, and a detection-control part to detect the voltage required by said electronic device connected to said output port and to transfer it to said voltage dropping part.
Power converter circuit with a main converter and an auxiliary converter
A power converter circuit includes an input configured to receive an input voltage and an output configured to provide an output voltage; a main converter coupled between a main converter input and the output and comprising a first winding and a second winding that are inductively coupled; and an auxiliary converter comprising an auxiliary converter input coupled to a third winding and an auxiliary converter output, wherein the third winding is inductively coupled with the first winding and the second winding. The auxiliary converter output is coupled between the input and the main converter input.
Power converter arrangement and control method therefor
A method controls a converter assembly which has a line-commutated converter. The line-commutated converter has an alternating voltage terminal which can be connected via a phase conductor to an alternating voltage network. The converter assembly further has a switch module branch which is arranged serially in the phase conductor and which contains a series circuit of switch modules at each of the terminals of which bipolar voltages can be generated which add up to a branch voltage. A connection voltage to a connection point between the switch module branch and the converter is controlled by adjusting an amplitude of a positive sequence component of the branch voltage. The converter assembly is configured to carry out a control method for controlling the converter assembly.
POWER SUPPLY AND INTEGRATED MAGNETIC ASSEMBLY IMPLEMENTATIONS
A power supply includes an assembly comprising an inductor and a transformer. The inductor and the transformer are integrated to share a core of magnetic permeable material disposed in the assembly. The power supply further includes an unregulated power converter stage and a regulated power converter stage. The unregulated power converter stage implements use of the transformer. The regulated power converter stage implements use of the inductor. A combination of the regulated power converter stage and the unregulated power converter stage operative to collectively produce an output voltage to power a load.
