A PERFUSION BALLOON WITH AN EXPANDABLE INTERNAL LUMEN
The present invention relates to a perfusion balloon catheter that has an expandable (enlargeable) inner lumen (114) with a novel design feature that allows a continuous flow through this enlarged lumen sufficient perfusion to the distal lumen of the blood vessel or air passage concurrent to and independently of balloon (104) inflation or deflation resulting in the prolonged dilatation and avoiding the high risks of blood or air flow stricture during balloon inflation.
Connecting device
A connecting device is provided for connecting a pipe or tube-shaped element to the heart or a blood vessel of a patient, comprising a suture ring that has an opening, which can be closed by means of a closure element and through which said pipe or tube-shaped element is guided in the axial direction. The closure element is secured to the suture ring by means of at least one elastic securing element. A radially-expandable sealing element can also be provided in order to establish a sealing placement of the closure element against the suture ring.

COMBINATORIAL THERAPIES INCLUDING IMPLANTABLE DAMPING DEVICES AND THERAPEUTIC AGENTS FOR TREATING A CONDITION AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
Devices, systems, and methods for combinatorial treatment of a condition with an implantable damping device and therapeutic agent (e.g., drug) are disclosed herein. Methods for treating one or more effects of the condition, such as a neurological condition, include providing the implantable damping device and at least neck one other therapy, such as a therapeutic agent, that treats the condition to the patient. The implantable damping device includes a flexible damping member and an abating substance and can be placed in apposition with a blood vessel. The flexible damping member forms a generally tubular structure having an inner and an outer surface, the inner surface formed of a sidewall having a partially deformable portion. The abating substance is disposed within the partially deformable portion and moves longitudinally and/or radially within the partially deformable portion in response to pulsatile blood flow.
MAGNETIC FIXATION APPARATUS FOR PERCUTANEOUS CATHETER
A catheter apparatus can include a first magnet coupled to a catheter and a second magnet configured to couple to a patient's skin. When the catheter and the first magnet are positioned within a patient's body, the second magnet can exert a magnetic force on the first magnet that stabilizes the catheter relative to the second magnet. The second magnet can be directly attached to the patient's skin or secondary devices such as straps can be used to place the second magnet in a fixed position relative to the patient's body. In some implementations, a plurality of magnets can facilitate holding the catheter in a substantially fixed position within the patient.
UPDATING A VAD SYSTEM WITHOUT STOPPING THE PUMP
A remote controller updating system for an implantable blood pump including an implantable blood pump, an implantable controller coupled to the implantable blood pump, and a pump driveline including a data network connection in communication with the implantable controller. The system may also include a pump connector coupled to the pump driveline, a remote controller couplable to the implantable blood pump, and a system update assembly including a system update connector couplable to the pump connector and a power source coupled to the system update connector.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BLOOD PUMP CONNECTORS
Systems and methods for connections in a medical device system are provided. A connector system includes a connector receptacle including first electrical contacts, a connector insert including second electrical contacts and at least one pin, and a locking member rotatably coupled to the connector receptacle, the locking member including a housing and a guide member, the guide member including an annular body that defines at least one groove including a first locking detent and a second locking detent, the at least one pin operable to traverse the at least one groove, engage the first locking detent in a first locked configuration, and engage the second locking detent in a second locked configuration when the connector insert is inserted into the connector receptacle.

Heart help device, system and method
The present invention relates to an implantable device for improving the pump function of the heart of a human patient by applying an external force on the heart muscle, said device comprising at least one pump device comprising: a first part having a first surface, and a second part having a second surface. The first part is displaceable in relation to the second part and said first and second surfaces abut each other, at least partially. The second part exerts, directly or indirectly, force on an external part of said heart muscle.
CONDUIT FORMING UNIT AND TUBE JOINT
A conduit forming unit includes: a cylindrical tubular body having flanges, on both end portions of the cylindrical tubular body; a first connection tubular body and a second connection tubular body respectively connected to a first end portion and a second end portion of the cylindrical tubular body; and tube joints for connecting the cylindrical tubular body and the first connection tubular body and the second connection tubular body to each other. The tube joint includes: a pawl equipped nut where a plurality of pawl portions which are engageable with the flange of the cylindrical tubular body are formed in the pawl equipped nut, the pawl portions engage with the flange so as to connect the first connection tubular body and the cylindrical tubular body to each other; and a retaining ring being annularly mountable on the pawl equipped nut and retaining engagement of the pawl portions with the flange.
