Applicator for cryoanesthesia and analgesia

A handheld cryoanesthesia or analgesia device for cooling a target area on cutaneous membranes, mucous membranes, and tissue of the mucocutaneous zone having an elongated body and a thermoelectric cooling system disposed within the elongated body. The thermoelectric cooling system is configured to physically contact and thermally couple the target area of the cutaneous membranes, mucous membranes, and tissue of the mucocutaneous zone to induce cryoanesthesia or analgesia. The thermoelectric cooling system includes a thermally-conductive cold tip, a thermally-conductive cooling power concentrator thermally coupled to the cold tip, at least one Peltier unit module thermally coupled to the cooling power concentrator, a heatsink thermally coupled to at least one Peltier unit module, a power source, at least one thermal sensor, and a controller operably outputting a control signal to the Peltier unit module to maintain a predetermined temperature.

LIQUID MEDICINE SELF-INJECTION SYSTEM

To provide a liquid medicine self-injection system that enables patient himself/herself to easily and safely inject (in particular, bolus-infuse) a prescribed amount of liquid medicine for preventing, treating or improving obstetrical pain, in particular, for a painless childbirth. The liquid medicine self-injection system according to the present invention contains a liquid medicine preservation container for storing a liquid medicine, a liquid medicine feeding-out means for feeding out the liquid medicine from the liquid medicine preservation container, and a liquid medicine injection device for allowing the liquid medicine fed out from the liquid medicine preservation container to be self-injected, and is configured to be able to use for preventing, treating or improving obstetrical pain, in particular, for a painless childbirth. Thus, a prescribed amount of liquid medicine can be easily and safely administered to a patient, that is, pregnant woman, in particular, pregnant woman during childbirth, without giving ill effect on an unborn child or using a large-sized device by self-injection at one time.

CONNECTED INFUSION PUMP DEVICE

An infusion pump device comprises a pump unit having an inlet and an outlet, a connector being in fluid communication with the inlet of said pump unit, a medication reservoir accommodation portion for accommodating a medication reservoir having a label or tag so that an outlet of the medication reservoir is to be coupled to said connector, and a reader which is provided at said medication reservoir accommodation portion so that the reader is adapted to read a label or tag of the medication reservoir when arranged at said medication reservoir accommodation portion.

PERISTALTIC INFUSION PUMP TUBE SEGMENT AND INFUSION PUMP DEVICE WITH SUCH A TUBE SEGMENT
20220241499 · 2022-08-04 · ·

A peristaltic infusion pump tube segment comprises a first tube portion having a surrounding wall adapted for an upstream occlusion detection, a second tube portion downstream of said first tube portion and adapted to be temporally engaged by an engagement structure, wherein said second tube portion comprises a surrounding wall being at least partly thicker than the wall of said first tube portion and made of an elastic material which allows said second tube portion to be essentially reformed at those portions which are currently not subject to the engagement by the engagement structure, a third tube portion downstream of said second tube portion and having a surrounding wall adapted for an air in line detection, and a fourth tube portion adapted for a downstream pressure detection. The peristaltic infusion pump tube segment is provided in an infusion pump device which comprises a pump mechanism configured as a peristaltic mechanism.

METHOD FOR ANESTHETIZING THE LIPS

The invention relates to a method for anesthetizing a patient's lips prior to a cosmetic procedure, such as lip augmentation or enhancement.

Respiration Aid
20220241537 · 2022-08-04 ·

An oxygen catheter for veterinary patients includes an integrated catheter, cannula or vessel having integrated lumens for both oxygen and anesthetic such as lidocaine. The oxygen lumen extends into the trachea of the veterinary patient, often a canine, for respiratory aid. The anesthetic lumen is integrated into the same catheter as the oxygen, and terminates prior to the oxygen lumen for administering an anesthetic such as lidocaine around the soft palate to ease discomfort of the inserted catheter. The integration of the respiratory and anesthetic vessels allows a lidocaine drip to accompany the catheterized oxygen supply to medicate the tracheal, pharynx and soft palate regions from the inserted catheter along the path of the oxygen lumen to ease patient discomfort and anxiety for effective respiratory treatment while avoiding more invasive and expensive measures.

Catheter

A catheter assembly having the major components: a cap, an introducer tip, four different variations of grip housing, a tube gripper and a catheter. The variations of the housing connected to the catheter assembly allows for safe and effective delivery of the anesthetics to various bodily orifices. The catheter is slowly advanced further while irrigating and dispensing the medication and/or lidocaine gel from the syringe. Once the desired depth is reached the practitioner can mark off the depth in centimeters on the catheter using a variation of the marker.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREDICTING FUTURE PHARMACOKINETIC PARAMETERS FOR A PATIENT UTILIZING INPUTS OBTAINED FROM AN ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSOR

Systems and methods are provided for combining predictive analytics with a cutting-edge electrochemical sensor having specialized coatings designed to reduce biofouling to (1) monitor drug concentration data of a patient in real-time; and (2) predict future pharmacokinetic parameters for the patient more accurately than existing technologies. Embodiments may construct highly accurate and patient-specific pharmacokinetic models which can dynamically adjust predictions of future pharmacokinetic parameters as they receive real-time drug concentration data from the electrochemical sensor. Certain embodiments may automatically adjust administration of a drug to a patient based on the aforementioned predictions and pharmacokinetic models. Other embodiments may provide a notification to a clinician containing, e.g., a recommended course of drug administration before a patient is woken up.
