Devices, systems, and methods for volumetrically measuring syringe fluid are disclosed. In one aspect, a device for volumetrically measuring syringe fluid includes a reference plate, a flange adapter base attached at a first end of the reference plate for receiving a flange of a syringe, a plunger adapter disposed adjacent to a housing for receiving a plunger of the syringe, the plunger adapter being configured to slidingly move along a length of the reference plate, a displacement sensor disposed in the housing and configured to measure a displacement of the plunger adapter in relation to the flange adapter base as the plunger adapter is slid along the length of the reference plate, and a displacement conversion mechanism disposed in the housing and configured to convert the displacement measurement of the plunger adapter to a volumetric measurement in order to determine a volume of fluid the syringe has drawn in.
MEDICAL SUCTION PUMP AND FLUID COLLECTING VESSEL
A medical suction pump for aspiration of bodily fluid has a suction pump housing, a fluid collection container held releasably on the housing, and at least one filling level sensor. The fluid collection container has a first side wall and at least one further side wall which together delimit at least one interior space for receiving the aspirated fluid. The at least one filling level sensor extends at least approximately parallel to the first side wall over at least a partial area of the fillable height of the interior space. The first side wall is place at least in part, and the cross section of the at least one interior space tapers vertically from the top downwards, at least over a partial area of the fillable height.
Blood collection system and method
A blood collection system comprises a suction unit (11), a hose arrangement (12) connected to the suction unit, means for aspirating blood and air through the suction unit and for pumping said blood and air through the hose arrangement, a flow sensing unit (14) for continuously sensing the blood flow through the hose arrangement, an anticoagulant additive dosing system (15) for continuously dosing an anticoagulant additive into the blood flowed through the hose arrangement in response to the continuously sensed blood flow, a mixing unit (16) for mixing the blood with the anticoagulant additive dosed into the blood, and a collection vessel (17) for collecting the mixed blood and anticoagulant additive. The means for aspirating and pumping the blood and air is a pump system (13) providing a known constant volume flow of the blood and air in the hose arrangement, the flow sensing unit (14) is arranged for continuously sensing the mass flow of blood through the hose arrangement by means of continuously measuring a parameter indicative of the weight of blood in a tubing section (14a), through which the blood is transported, and the anticoagulant additive dosing system comprises a control unit (15d) connected to the flow sensing unit and arranged for automatically controlling the continuously dosing of an anticoagulant additive into the blood flowed through the hose arrangement in response to the continuously sensed mass flow of blood.

Medical Treatment System and Methods Using a Plurality of Fluid Lines
A system including a pumping cassette having a first side including number of valve wells and second side having a fluid bus. Each side may be covered by a flexible membrane. A control surface having a number of valve well control stations actuatable with respect to the flexible membrane covering the first side of the cassette to open and close the valve wells when the cassette is mated against the control surface may be included. A pressure distribution assembly having a positive and negative pressure source and a number of pneumatic valves may be included. A controller configured to selectively actuate the number of pneumatic valves to apply pressure against the valve well control stations in a valve pumping sequence until a volume displaced through the fluid bus of the pumping cassette from a source to a destination is within a range of a target volume may be included.
Urine collection systems and associated methods and devices
Urine collection systems and associated methods and devices are disclosed herein. A representative system can include a urine collection device, a flow control assembly configured to direct a urine flow from the patient to the urine collection device, and a urine measurement device including a first sensor and a second sensor. The first sensor is configured to generate first sensor data based on a weight of the container, and the second sensor is configured to generate second sensor data based on the urine flow from the patient to the container. The system can further include non-transitory computer readable media having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising determining a first patient urine output based on the first sensor data; and determining a second patient urine output based on the second sensor data.
