INTRANASAL TREATMENT DEVICE
The present invention relates to a closed system intranasal treatment device that is preferably in round, square, rectangular, triangular prism, quadrilateral, pentagon etc. form and that ensures the person who will use it gets maximum efficiency from the drug by creating a closed structure by completely wrapping noses of pediatric, adult and geriatric patient groups and preventing the drug from passing out of the system and maximizes patient compliance, in which all liquid pharmaceutical compositions in the state of the art are applicable.
MANUAL VENTILATORS AND METHODS FOR MAKING VENTILATORS
Presented are manual ventilator systems, methods for making/using such ventilator systems, and clamshell, accordion-style ventilators operable by a lone operator. A ventilator device includes first and second panels pivotably attached together in a clamshell configuration. Each panel has an inlet port, an outlet port, and an internal channel that fluidly connects the inlet and outlet ports. A one-way valve is fluidly connected to the first panel’s outlet port and restricts airflow therethrough in one direction. Another one-way valve is fluidly connected to the second panel’s inlet port and restricts airflow therethrough in an opposite direction. A concertinaed bellows is fluidly connected to the first panel’s outlet port and the second panel’s inlet port. The bellows is sandwiched between and attached to the two panels such that pivoting the panels away from each other expands and fills the bellows whereas pivoting the panels towards each other compresses and evacuates the bellows.
INTRANASAL DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND PROCESS
Embodiments relate to an intranasal drug delivery device, system, and process. The drug delivery device can have a compliant/flexible soft nib. The drug delivery device can have an actuator and shot chamber. The drug delivery device can have a non-air interface mechanically pressurized fluid reservoir. The drug delivery device can have a facial or device recognition application to prevent intentional or unintentional misuse.
Medicament delivery device and methods for delivering drugs to infants and children
A method of delivering epinephrine includes placing a distal end surface of a medical injector into contact with a target location of a patient. The medical injector includes a housing, an energy storage member, and a medicament container containing a dose of epinephrine effective for administration to the patient experiencing anaphylaxis and having a weight of less than 15 kg. The medicament container is coupled to a needle. The medical injector is actuated such that the energy storage member produces a force to move the needle from a first needle position to a second needle position. A distal tip of the needle extends from the distal end surface by a distance of between 7 millimeters and 8 millimeters when the needle is in the second needle position. A portion of the force is exerted to expel the dose of epinephrine when the needle is in the second position.
Nebulizer and reservoir
A reservoir for a nebulizer includes: a tank or bag containing multiple doses of a fluid to be nebulized, and an indicator device for counting or indicating a number of uses performed or still possible with the reservoir, where at least one of: the reservoir includes a connector for fluidically connecting the tank or bag with the nebulizer, the indicator device is actuated by moving the connector relative to the tank or bag, and the reservoir includes or forms an eccentrical linear guidance for a driving part for driving the indicator device.
ATOMIZATION DEVICE AND COUNTER MODULE FOR THE SAME
The present application relates to an atomization device (100) and a counter module (114) for the same. The atomization device (100) comprises: an upper housing (102) and a lower housing (104), wherein the upper housing (102) is configured to mount a container (106) for containing liquid, and the container (106) is movable in an axial direction of the atomization device (100) between a release position and a stretch position, and wherein the stretch position is closer to a proximal end of the atomization device (100) than the release position; and the counter module (114) mounted inside the lower housing (104) and for counting the movement of the container (106) between the release position and the stretch position.
DRIVE MECHANISM FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
The disclosure relates to an injection device for expelling of a number of preset or user-selectable doses of a medicament. The injection device includes an elongated housing extending along an axial direction and configured to accommodate a cartridge containing the medicament and having a bung sealing a proximal end of the cartridge, a windup expelling mechanism, and a dose setting mechanism. The dose setting mechanism includes a handle , a dose tracking member, and a limiter. The dose tracking member is rotatable relative to the housing within a range of positional states and operatively connectable to the handle for tracking a rotation thereof. The limiter is operationally engageable with the dose tracking member and a trigger of the windup expelling mechanism for blocking actuation of the trigger when the dose tracking member is in one of a number of predetermined sections of the range of positional states.
INHALATION DEVICE AND METHOD
The invention relates to the field of inhalation devices for liquids. In particular, the invention relates to an inhalation device having improved flow characteristics. A inhalation device for medically active liquids (F) for generation of an aerosol comprises a housing (1), inside this housing (1) a reservoir (2) for storing a liquid (F), a pumping device with a hollow cylinder (9) providing a pumping chamber (3) for the generation of a pressure inside said pumping chamber (3), wherein the pumping chamber is fluidically connected with the reservoir (2) via an inlet check valve (4) which blocks in direction of the reservoir (2), a riser pipe (5) which can be received with at least one reservoir-facing, interior end (5A) in said hollow cylinder (9), and a nozzle (6) which is connected liquid-tight to an exterior end (5B) of the riser pipe (5), wherein the volume of the pumping chamber (3) is changeable by means of relative motion of the cylinder (9) to the riser pipe (5), and is characterised in that the riser pipe (5) is immobile and firmly attached to the housing (1) and to the nozzle (6), whereas the hollow cylinder (9) is moveable relative to the housing (1) and to the nozzle (6). The invention also discloses a method for the generation of an aerosol of a medically active liquid (F) by means of an inhalation device.
NEBULIZER
A nebulizer for nebulizing a fluid is proposed. The nebulizer includes an indicator device with a rotatable indicator element for counting or indicating a number of actuations performed or still possible with the nebulizer and a rotatable shaft which rotatably drives the indicator element. The indicator device is non-detachably attached to the shaft and/or to an inner part of the nebulizer. The nebulizer may further include a positioning device that keeps the shaft in a defined rotational position and/or blocks the shaft from rotating backwards.
