Signal amplifiers that switch between different amplifier architectures for a particular gain mode

Disclosed herein are signal amplifiers having a plurality of amplifier cores. Individual amplifier cores can be designed to enhance particular advantages while reducing other disadvantages. The signal amplifier can then switch between amplifier cores in a particular gain mode to achieve desired performance characteristics (e.g., improving noise figure or linearity). Examples of signal amplifiers disclosed herein include amplifier architectures with a low noise figure amplifier core that reduces the noise figure and a linearity boost amplifier core that increases linearity. The disclosed signal amplifiers can switch between a first active core and a second active core for a single or particular gain mode to achieve desired signal characteristics during different time periods.

ADC circuitry

This application relates to ADC circuitry. An ADC circuit (200) has first and second conversion paths (201a, 201b) for converting analogue signals to digital and is operable in first and second modes. In the first mode, the first and second conversion paths are connected to respective first and second input nodes (202a, 202b) to receive and convert full scale first and second analogue input signals (Ain1, Ain2) to separate digital outputs (Dout1, Dout2). In the second mode, the first and second conversion paths are both connected to the first input node (202a), to convert the first analogue input signal (Ain1) to respective first and second digital signals, and the first and second conversion paths are configured for processing different signal levels of the first analogue input signal. A selector (207) select the first digital signal or the second digital to be output as an output signal based on an indication of amplitude of the first analogue input signal.

Sound collection loudspeaker apparatus, method and program for the same

Provided is a sound pickup loudspeaker apparatus which suppresses the influence of feedback produced when adding a speaker while also reducing a sense of unnaturalness in a sound image. The sound pickup loudspeaker apparatus collects a target sound emitted from a first seat in the vehicle, plays back the collected target sound to a listener seated in a second seat in the vehicle from a second sound amplifying device disposed in a direction different from the first seat from the perspective of the listener, and furthermore plays back the collected target sound to the listener from a first sound amplifying device disposed in the same direction as the first seat from the perspective of the listener. The apparatus multiplies the target sound by a first gain and outputs the target sound to the first sound amplifying device; delays the target sound by an amount of time obtained by adding a time for achieving a precedence effect to a delay time of the first sound amplifying device relative to the second sound amplifying device; and multiplies the delayed target sound by a second gain and outputs the target sound to the second sound amplifying device. A first gain adjustment unit adjusts the first gain to a low value and a second gain adjustment unit adjusts the second gain to a high value.
