The present disclosure describes a system for the delivery of therapeutic substances to the cavities of a patient. The system can include a wearable micropump that is fluidically coupled with a handpiece. The handpiece can be inserted, for example, into the middle ear via a surgical tympanotomy approach. The system can enable a controlled injection of a therapeutic substance directly into the patient's cavity.

The present disclosure provides devices for preventing or absorbing fluid (e.g., sweat) and/or odors from the intergluteal cleft of a subject. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides devices for treating or preventing hemorrhoids and methods of using same.

A personal hygiene device includes a bottle body configured to hold a fluid, and an extension tube, connected to the bottle body through a connector. In some embodiments, the extension tube includes a brush and an orifice configured to release the fluid. In other embodiments, the extension tube is designed to be inserted into a body cavity and does not include a brush.

A tube coupling system serves for providing annular flow through a flexible annular double lumen tube between fluid reservoir(s) and flexible connection pieces of an annular double lumen device. The tube coupling system has a first coupling component and a second coupling component and an end fitting system. The first coupling component that has a female coupling part and a male coupling part adapted for coupling to a proximal end of the flexible annular double lumen tube. An applicator 270 includes a stem 174 having an axially-formed slot delivery passage 200. A slot 350 is formed transaxially through the stem 174 and is in communication with the slot delivery passage 200. An extended side wall 350b is formed on one side of the slot 350. A flat surface 354, which is formed in the stem 174, is spaced and extends angularly away from an opposite side of the slot 176 and from the extended side wall 350b to provide for direct and lateral dispensing of a cream 280 onto a tissue 242 of a patient.

A device (10,210) for treatment of a canal associated with an orifice includes a flexible stem portion (20, 220) adapted for insertion along the canal and having an expandable member (24, 224) carried by the stem portion (20, 220) at or adjacent the distal end. The expandable member (24, 224) is for occlusion of an inner end region of the canal. A cap (40, 240, 340) mounted on the stem portion (20, 220), configured as a receptacle (42, 242), to close an outer end of the canal and to accommodate the surface(s) about the outer end of the canal. The cap (40, 240) thereby de-fines with the expandable member (24, 224), a treatment zone, wherein the receptacle (42, 242) is adapted to receive and store treatment fluid for contact with the surface(s) about the outer end of the canal.

A dual-tube removal device for treating obstipation of animals is provided. The first tube, or lubricant conduit, selectively channels lubricant or enema solution through dispersal ports provided near the distal end of the lubricant conduit. The second tube, or pilot tube, aids is selectively inflating an inflatable cuff adjacent the same distal end. A multi-purpose balloon intra-cavity catheter includes a catheter having a proximal end portion, a central portion and a non-branching distal end portion, a plurality of lumens associated with the catheter extending from the proximal end portion, and a plurality of inflatable balloons positioned in the central portion and/or the non-branching distal end portion. Each of the plurality of inflatable balloons is communicatively associated with a corresponding one of the plurality of lumens, the plurality of inflatable balloons being selectively inflated or deflated to position and stabilize the catheter in a cavity for delivery of a medical treatment. The catheter can include an extraction opening associated with a lumen to remove fluids and materials from the cavity, and a connector associated with a corresponding lumen adapted to selectively receive one or more of a fluid medium or a radioactive isotope provided to a corresponding lumen for delivery of the medical treatment.
