SPORTS EQUIPMENT
A kind of sports equipment which comprises a sole and an upper is revealed. The sole is provided with a peripheral wall projecting upward from a periphery of the sole and a mounting groove formed on an outer surface of the peripheral wall. The upper is arranged at the sole and a periphery of a bottom of the upper is bent inward to form a connection portion which is mounted into the mounting groove on the peripheral wall of the sole correspondingly. The connection portion of the upper and the peripheral wall of the sole are sewn and connected by a sewing thread while the sewing thread is located at the inward-bent connection portion of the upper so that the sewing thread will not be exposed. Thereby the upper and the sole are connected more firmly and aesthetics of the sports equipment is also improved.
STABILIZING ELEMENT FOR A SHOE UPPER
A shoe may include a shoe upper, an outsole, and a stabilizing element. The stabilizing element may extend from the outsole upward towards a step-in opening of the shoe upper and rearward towards a heel region of the shoe. Further, the stabilizing element may include an outer layer. The stabilizing element may extend along an outside of the shoe upper. Moreover, an area of the outside of the shoe upper that is not covered by the stabilizing element may be located between the stabilizing element and the outsole. Furthermore, the area may continuously transition into a further area of the outside of the shoe upper which is not covered by the stabilizing element. That further area may extend into a portion of the shoe upper which is configured to receive an Achilles area and/or an Achilles tendon insertion.
FOOTWEAR PLATE
A method of forming a plate for an article of footwear is disclosed. The method includes applying a first strand portion to a base layer including positioning adjacent segments of the first strand portion to form a first layer on the base layer. The adjacent segments of the first strand portion having a greater density across a width of the plate between a medial side and a lateral side at a midfoot region of the plate than at a forefoot region of the plate and at a heel region of the plate. The method also includes applying at least one of heat and pressure to the first strand portion and to the base layer to conform the first strand portion and the base layer to a predetermined shape.

Shoe
Described is a shoe, in particular an athletic shoe. The shoe can include a sole and a shoe upper. The shoe upper can include (a.) a lateral portion; (b.) a medial portion; and (c.) intermediate portion between the lateral portion and the medial portion. The intermediate portion can include a cupped portion uncoated by a first coating portion on the lateral portion and a second coating portion on the medial portion. When the shoe upper is separate from the sole at least a majority of the cupped portion may be cupped above surrounding areas of the shoe upper.
SOLE STRUCTURES INCLUDING COMPOSITE ELEMENTS AND ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR FORMED THEREFROM
Disclosed herein is a composite element comprising a textile and a hydrogel layer comprising a hydrogel material that is operably coupled to the textile, wherein a portion of the hydrogel layer extends through a first side of the textile, and at least partially into a core of the textile, but does not extend onto a second side of the textile. Also disclosed are sole structures and articles of athletic footwear incorporating the composite element, as well as methods of manufacturing such composite elements, sole structures, and articles of footwear.
