Shoelace fastening for inner shoe
A fastening element for a shoe of a boot comprising a disk-shaped single or multi-part main part, comprising a base side for fastening to the shoe, a cover side lying opposite the base side, and two grooves molded into a casing between the base side and the cover side for receiving and guiding a respective end of a shoelace. The grooves have an entrance angle at which shoelaces are to enter into the fastening element when laced in the pulling direction and an exit angle at which shoelaces are to exit the fastening element when pulled in the pulling direction, and wherein the entrance angle is greater than or equal to the exit angle.
Method and Apparatus for Early Detection of Diabetic Foot Disorders by Analyzing Foot Temperature and Vertical and Shear Forces on Feet
A system for analysis of user gait and foot disorder intended to minimize risks ulceration and limb amputation associated with the uncontrolled increase of the foot temperature in persons with diabetes. This system comprises a motion, force and temperature sensors and a processing element configured to process motion algorithms, measure ground reaction force (GRF) and changes in foot temperature embedded in the footwear insoles in communication with a smartphone based analysis application using wireless radio interface. The analysis application processes data received from the footwear sensors, compares the results with set of criteria and rules, and if any of the predefined criteria is exceeded, provides alerts to the user and the remote medical supervisor. Additionally, the insoles may be equipped with a haptic actuators configured to determine the level of the user neuropathy by measuring vibration perception threshold (VPT) level.

Article of footwear with adjustable stiffness
An article of footwear with adjustable stiffness is provided. The article of footwear in the form of a snowboard boot is provided with adjustable tensioning systems that are disposed on either side of an inner liner of the snowboard boot. The adjustable tensioning system includes a comb body structure having flex portions made of a plurality of extending fingers with a flexibility that can be controlled by the adjustable tensioning system. Depending on the level of tension applied by the tensioning system, or lack thereof, a range of flex profiles having varying amounts of stiffness are available to the wearer to adjust the overall stiffness of the snowboard boot.
BOOT TIGHTENING DEVICE
Boot having an outer upper within which an inner comfort element is positioned, the outer upper having at least two portions movable in relation to one another, a tightener being provided to bring the two portions closer to one another in order to adapt the volume of the boot to the foot of the user, the tightener including an outer tractor, a first end of which is fixed to a first portion of the outer upper, and a second end of which is in relation with an actuator fixed to a second portion of the outer upper, the boot further including an inner tractor that is primarily positioned under the outer upper and are in relation with the same actuator.
ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR WITH ADJUSTABLE DIMENSIONS
This disclosure is directed to articles of footwear with adjustable dimensions. More specifically, the articles of footwear disclosed herein include sole structures with adjustable dimensions. In some instances, an article of footwear includes one or more removable insert members configured for adjusting the dimensions of a foot-receiving cavity of the article of footwear. Additionally or alternatively, a sole structure can include one or more flexible portions that can move between compressed and expanded states to accommodate feet of various dimensions. To accommodate the adjustable dimensions of the sole structures, an upper of the article of footwear can be stretchable.
SOLE STRUCTURE WITH TRANSVERSELY MOVABLE COUPLER FOR SELECTABLE BENDING STIFFNESS
A sole structure for an article of footwear comprises a first plate and a second plate both extending longitudinally in a flexion region of the sole structure. The second plate is disposed above the first plate in the flexion region. The second plate has a fixed portion fixed to the first plate, and has a free portion. A coupler is operatively connected to one of the first plate and the free portion of the second plate. The coupler is selectably movable transversely relative to the first plate and the second plate between a first position and a second position. The coupler is spaced apart from the other one of the first plate and the free portion of the second plate in the first position, and operatively engages the other one of the first plate and the free portion of the second plate in the second position.
Ski boot, in particular boot for ski touring
A ski boot is provided of the type including a substantially soft inner liner, a substantially rigid outer shell and a cuff articulated to the shell, and further including a spoiler articulated to the shell and arranged between the inner liner and the cuff. The ski boot includes a locking device for selectively allowing or preventing rotation of the cuff relative to the shell and, at the same time, for selectively allowing or preventing the movements of the spoiler relative to the cuff, and consequently also relative to the shell.
