20230056047 · 2023-02-23 ·

A method and system for combination therapy utilizing local drug delivery and radiotherapy at a target site of body tissue are provided. The delivery system comprises a source electrode adapted to be positioned proximate to a target site of internal body tissue. A counter electrode is in electrical communication with the source electrode, and is configured to cooperate with the source electrode to form a localized electric field proximate to the target site. A cargo may be delivered to the target site when exposed to the localized electric field. Radiotherapy is applied to the target site in combination with the local drug delivery.

DEVICE AND METHODS FOR TISSUE MOLECULAR PROFILING USING ELECTROPORATION BASED MOLECULAR EXTRACTION

Methods and devices obtain cellular-component, e.g., proteins, RNA, DNA, metabolites, and combinations of these, from a solid tissue in-vivo using electroporation, and subsequently profile such tissue either inside or outside the subject's body. A method for determining if a solid tissue of a subject includes a benign or malignant tumor, or if a space occupying lesion (SOL) within the solid tissue is malignant or benign, includes placing at least one electroporation-electrode within the solid tissue, or within the SOL or in proximity thereto; applying pulsed electric field (PEF) via the at least one electroporation-electrode to thereby induce permeabilization of cells of the solid tissue or the SOL, and consequently release of at least one cellular-component therefrom to an extracellular matrix between and surrounding the cells; extracting the at least one cellular-component from the extracellular matrix.

Systems, devices and methods for galvanic vestibular stimulation using a modulated version of a generated electrical signal

A method of neurostimulation may include delivering an electrical signal to a plurality of electrodes connected to a patient. The electrical signal may include an amplitude and a carrier frequency. The method may include modulating the electrical signal based on an audio waveform. In some embodiments, the modulating may include modulating at least one of the amplitude and the carrier frequency based on the audio waveform to modulate the electrical signal.

Energy Delivery System, Method and Device

A system and method for delivering irreversible electroporation treatment to a selected tissue includes introducing an endoscope into a position adjacent the selected tissue, and advancing first and second probes having electrodes at their distal ends. One probe may be inserted into the lesion or tumor and remain in place while the other probe is moved around the tumor, with activation of the electrodes occurring at each location of the probes.

The wiper head includes a rotatable wiper structure including one or more wiper blades. The needle roller head includes needle roller structure. The skin treatment device provides a multi-step process including desincrustation, skin transdermal delivery of topical agents, serums, and the like, microdermabrasion, and fractional micro-channeling application.

Combined cardiac pacing and irreversible electroporation (IRE) treatment

A cardiac pacing and irreversible electroporation (IRE) apparatus includes a pulse generator and a shaping circuit. The pulse generator is configured to generate IRE pulses of prespecified shape and repetition rate. The shaping circuit is configured to convert some of the IRE pulses into pacing pulses of prespecified frequency and amplitude, to generate an output signal including ones of the IRE pulses interleaved with ones of the pacing pulses, and to output the output signal to a probe in a heart of a patient for applying the output signal to cardiac tissue.

Immunologic treatment of cancer

Provided herein are new compositions, methods, and devices to treat cancer through a combination of immunologic chemotherapeutic agents and ablation techniques. These compositions can include immune checkpoint inhibitors, cytokines and nucleic acid drugs that aid in eliciting an immune response to treat the tumor. The administration of these compositions in addition to various ablating techniques provides a presentation of the cancer cell antigens to the immune system and the immunologic targeting of the cancer.

Electroporation system and method of energizing a catheter

The present disclosure provides electroporation systems and methods of energizing a catheter for delivering electroporation. A catheter for delivering electroporation includes a distal section and an electrode assembly. The distal section is configured to be positioned in a vein within a body. The vein defines a central axis. The electrode assembly is coupled to the distal section and includes a structure and a plurality of electrodes distributed thereabout. The structure is configured to at least partially contact the vein. Each of the electrodes is configured to be selectively energized to form a circumferential ring of energized electrodes that is concentric with the central axis of the vein.
