Audio output system for a vehicle
An audio output system for a vehicle. The audio output system includes a volume setting device for setting a volume of an audio signal, an audio input for an audio input signal from an audio source, a warning tone device for providing a warning tone signal, an audio-level measuring device for measuring the audio level at the audio input, and a control unit. The audio-level measuring device is configured to limit the maximum audio level of the audio input signal to a predefined first threshold value as a function of the set volume. The control unit is configured to control an audio output signal on the basis of the warning tone signal, the audio input signal and the set volume, and to output an audible or visual notification if the audio input signal present at the audio input has no audio level.
Lightweight electronic device for automotive applications and method
A lightweight radio/CD player for vehicular application is virtually “fastenerless” and includes a case and frontal interface formed of polymer based material that is molded to provide details to accept audio devices such as playback mechanisms (if desired) and radio receivers, as well as the circuit boards required for electrical control and display. The case and frontal interface are of composite structure, including an insert molded electrically conductive wire mesh screen that has been pre-formed to contour with the molding operation. The wire mesh provides EMC, RFI, BCI and ESD shielding and grounding of the circuit boards via exposed wire mesh pads and adjacent ground clips. The major components and subassemblies self-interconnect by integral guide and connection features effecting “slide lock” and “snap lock” self-interconnection. The major components and subassemblies self-ground by establishing an interference fit with exposed, resilient, embossed portions of wire mesh.
Portable interface system
A portable interface system including an interface device, in particular a sensor device, and a base part, wherein the base part includes an attachment area for the interface device and a retraction device, wherein the retraction device is attached to the interface device and is designed to move the interface device into a predefined holding position in the attachment area, wherein the interface device is detachably fixed without tools in the holding position in the attachment area.
Electronic device and display control method thereof
An electronic device includes: a display; a sensor module configured to detect movement of the electronic device; and a control module configured to control such that power is supplied to the display when a movement is detected in the electronic device by the sensor module, to determine whether a user of the electronic device is driving a vehicle based on the detected movement of the electronic device, and to control such that the supply of power to the display is limited when it is determined that the user is driving.
ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE FOR ELECTRONIC COMPONENT ACCOMMODATION BOX
An attachment structure for an electronic component accommodation box including a vibration proof structure includes a damping structure between a vehicle body side attachment member and a casing in which at least one electronic component is mounted. The damping structure includes first sliding portions, second sliding portions, and damping members interposed between the first sliding portions and the second sliding portions. The damping members generate sliding resistance between each of the first sliding portions and each of the second sliding portions when the casing moves relative to the vehicle body side attachment member.
INFORMATION QUANTITY-BASED REFERENCE SENSOR SELECTION AND ACTIVE NOISE CONTROL USING THE SAME
An active noise control system selects one reference sensor providing a reference signal with the largest coherence to a noise signal, among a plurality of available reference sensors, as a first entry of a reference sensor set. After selecting the first entry, the active noise control system repeats a process in which a sensor capable of providing the largest information quantity to a current reference sensor set among remaining sensors is selected as a new entry of a reference sensor set, until a desired number of sensors is reached or a desired control level is reached. When the reference sensor set is determined, the active noise control system utilizes the entries of the reference sensor set to generates a noise control signal suitable for canceling the noise signal.
Unique word and burst header detection for an expanded frequency range
Various data transmission detection systems are described. A receiver input through which a wireless data transmission signal is received may be present. A plurality of mixers in communication with the receiver input may be present, which may be digitally implemented. A data transmission detector may be present that receives a mixed wireless data transmission signal from each mixer and creates a plurality of scores. A match detection module may be present that receives the scores and identifies a highest score. The signal mapped to the highest score to be selected for further processing.
Systems, devices and methods related to diversity receivers
Systems, devices and methods related to diversity receivers. In some embodiments, a receiving system can include a controller configured to selectively activate one or more of a plurality of paths between an input and an output, and a plurality of amplifiers, with each one of the plurality of amplifiers disposed along a corresponding one of the plurality of paths and configured to amplify a signal received at the amplifier. The receiving system can further include two or more of features including (a) variable-gain amplifiers, (b) phase-shifting components, (c) impedance matching components, (d) post-amplifier filters, (e) a switching network, and (f) flexible band routing. In some embodiments, such a receiving system can be implemented as a diversity receive (DRx) module.
ELECTRIC DEVICE
To provide an electric device that includes a compact cover that is easy to open and close. A portable radio 1 includes: a housing 2 including a device body 2A and a cover 2B, the device body 2A including an adapter compartment 9 configured to accommodate an adapter 8 connectable to an external power supply and a battery compartment 7 disposed at a different position from the adapter compartment 9 and configured to accommodate a battery 6, the cover 2B being configured to expose and close the adapter compartment 9 and the battery compartment 7; an adapter connector 21 provided at the device body 2A and connectable to the adapter 8; and a speaker 23 configured to be operated by accommodating the battery 6 in the battery compartment 7 or by connecting the adapter 8 to the adapter connector 21 and the external power supply.
