MICROWAVE TREATMENT APPARATUS
Disclosed is a microwave treatment apparatus which treats the surface of the skin or subcutaneous tissues using a combination among a microwave frequency electric field generated by microwaves, low-frequency electric spark discharge and low-temperature ionized gas flow.
Portable lamp assembly
A portable lamp assembly includes a spine member, a first and second side panel rotatably connected to the spine member, and a pair of first and second tangent links prismatically and rotatably operably coupled to the first and second side panel. Each of the tangent links has a plurality of vertical adjustment positions disposed between an upper and lower portion. The spine member and the first and second side panels have at least one source of light connected thereto. The first side panel and the second side panel can be rotated between an open position to allow the sources of light emit light towards a target area and a closed position for storage of the portable lamp assembly. The portable lamp assembly is free standing in the open position to allow the portable lamp assembly to be used without any external support.
NUMERICAL SYSTEM CONTROL OF OPHTHALMIC VISUALIZATION AND IMAGE SYSTEM
A system for ophthalmic imaging comprising an ophthalmic device configured to obtain stereoscopic images of an eye of a patient and to transmit the images in real-time to a display device via a network for viewing by practitioners. The ophthalmic device comprises at least an optic assembly, a processing assembly, a slit assembly, such as a slit lamp, and a positioning assembly. Control devices structured to control the ophthalmic device over the network, such as the world wide web, can be disposed at a plurality of locations, and may be remote from the ophthalmic device while providing real time control of the parameters of the ophthalmic device by the practitioner(s) associated therewith.
Modeling-guided Light therapy for Adjusting Circadian Rhythm
Systems and methods for adjusting a user's circadian rhythm are provided. In some embodiments, a system may be configured to obtain information relating to the user's present circadian rhythm and information relating to one or more anticipated times of sleep and/or wakefulness. The system may generate a model for estimating the user's circadian rhythm. The system may also generate a model for estimating the user's homeostatic sleep drive. Based on one or both models, the system may generate instructions for activating the light source to adjust the user's circadian rhythm.
Portable High Power Photobiomodulation Device with Measuring Ring
A compact, high power, photobiomodulation (HPPBM) light device with distance measuring ring is disclosed. The light device is comprised of a hand-held cylinder with a plurality of high-powered light emitting diodes (LED), a calibrated measuring ring, a lithium-ion battery, and a universal serial bus (USB) charge port. The device combines HPPBM light with a measuring ring to ensure proper therapy. An object of the device is to maintain the reliability of the HPPBM therapy process by ensuring the light is positioned at a specific distance away from the skin at all times during self-treatment. Other embodiments can include various power levels and light spectrums for said LEDs.
System for simulation of environmental energy
Disclosed is a device that utilizes a light-field display to project a virtual continuum of real world perspectives of a natural scene to a plurality of observer viewpoints to simulate a natural environment. An observer perceives different perspectives as he or she moves through the simulated environment just like the observer would as if he or she were in a natural environment.
LIGHT FIELD VISION-CORRECTION DEVICE
Devices utilizing holographic 4D plenoptic capture and display technologies to generate a light field function to provide glasses-less vision correction for observers with imperfect vision, and to project an image according to the generated light field function, and methods for calibrating a four-dimensional light field for a user with an uncorrected visual acuity.
DEVICE AND PROCEDURES TO ENHANCE INFRARED RADIATION ABSORPTION OF TISSUE
A method of treating a patient via infrared radiant heating includes increasing the radiant energy per unit time of infrared radiation applied to the patient's skin over a duration of a treatment protocol.
Method of administering 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) to a patient
A method of administering 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) to a patient uses an adjustable illuminator for photodynamically diagnosing or treating a surface and which includes a plurality of first panels and at least one second panel. The plurality of first panels have wider widths and the at least one second panel has a narrower width. The narrower width is less than the wider widths. The illuminator further includes a plurality of light sources, each mounted to one of the plurality of first panels or the at least one second panel and configured to irradiate the surface with substantially uniform intensity visible light. The plurality of first panels and the at least one second panel are rotatably connected. The at least one second panel is connected on each side to one of the plurality of first panels. The second panel acts as a “lighted hinge” to reduce or eliminate optical dead spaces between adjacent panels when the illuminator is bent into a certain configuration.
THREE-STEP PROCESS FOR MIMICKING PLASTIC SURGERY RESULTS
A three-step process performs, with a derma roller, a plurality of movements along an area of intended rejuvenation of a human user. Furthermore, the three-step process applies, subsequent to the derma roller performance, a chemical compound to one or more patches of skin at the area of intended rejuvenation. Finally, the three-step process emits, subsequent to the application of the chemical compound, light toward the area of intended rejuvenation. The three-step process may be customized to a user based on a variety of factors (e.g., area of intended rejuvenation, age, skin sensitivity, or the like).
