Methods and apparatus to determine when a smart device is out-of-tab
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to determine whether a smart device is in-tab are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a labelled data generator to identify a first smart television that corresponds to a first panelist by comparing first data from the first smart television to second data from the first panelist; and generate training data by labelling the first smart television as in-tab or out-of-tab based on the second data from the first panelist; and a model trainer to train a model using the training data, the model trainer to train the model to determine a tab status for a second smart television.

Optimizing parameters in deployed systems operating in delayed feedback real world environments
Optimizing parameters includes, during a time interval, rotating from setting a first parameter to a first value for a first time period, to setting the first parameter to a second value for a second time period such that the time interval includes multiple first time periods in which the first parameter is set to the first value sequenced with multiple second time periods in which the first parameter is set to the second value; obtaining, for the time interval, a first set of ratings corresponding to the first time periods and a second set of ratings corresponding to the second time periods; averaging, for the time interval, the first set of ratings to a first average rating and the second set of ratings to a second average rating; and correlating the first average rating to the first value and the second average rating to the second value.

Voice-controlled management of user profiles
A management of user profiles comprises calculating, for an audio segment, a user confidence measure representing a probability that the audio segment comprises speech of a user and a group confidence measure representing a probability that the audio segment comprises speech of a group of users. A user profile is then managed based on a comparison between the user confidence measure and a user confidence threshold and between the group confidence measure and a group confidence threshold. The embodiments thereby achieve an efficient voice-controlled user profile management by utilizing a layered approach that provides user profiles for group of users as fallback when the identity of the speaking user can not accurately be recognized.

Methods and apparatus to classify all other tuning data
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to classify all other tuning (AOT) data are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a media interface to access first channel information corresponding to a first record at a first time. An operating state identifier is to store the channel information corresponding to the first record at the first time in a data store. An AOT identifier is to determine the first record is classified as AOT data. A comparator is to compare the channel information at the first time with second channel information at a second time, wherein the second channel information at the second time corresponds to a previously classified media record. A record updater is to, when the first channel information matches the second channel information, update the first record with a media identification from the matched classification classified media record and store the updated first record in the data store.
Methods and apparatus to create a panel of media device users
Methods and apparatus to create a panel of media device users are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an interface to receive a unique identifier and an application identifier from a media device executing an instrumented application. A panel creator is to create a master frame corresponding to media devices that have executed the instrumented application. A registration data controller is to: (i) determine a skip rate, (ii) assign the media device from the master frame into a first test cell based on a random value and the skip rate, (iii) select a first recruitment interface associated with the first test cell, and (iv) instruct the instrumented application to, in response to the instrumented application being executed for a first time after a threshold period of time since an initial execution of the instrumented application has elapsed, display the first recruitment interface.
