System and method for testing and/or monitoring broadband internet connectivity
A system and a method for testing broadband internet connectivity are disclosed. The system contains a monitoring device electrically connected with a router, at least one remote server configured to communicate with the monitoring device through the router, wherein the monitoring device is configured to run one or more tests to determine one or more parameters of the internet connection between the monitoring device and the at least one remote server.
OPERATION OF A BROADBAND ACCESS NETWORK OF A TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK COMPRISING A CENTRAL OFFICE POINT OF DELIVERY
A method for operation of a broadband access network of a telecommunications network includes: a central office point of delivery and/or a load management entity or functionality thereof detects that an increased load situation is currently happening or determines that an increased load situation is likely to happen or that a specific task is to be performed; the central office point of delivery triggers the use of additional virtualized network functions and/or additional micro services and an additional message router and load balancing entity for handling the increased load situation and/or for performing specific tasks within the telecommunications network and/or within the central office point of delivery; and upon detection of a normal load situation, the central office point of delivery releases the use of the additional virtualized network functions and/or additional micro services and the use of the additional message router and load balancing entity.
Congestion Information Collection Method and System, Related Device, and Computer Storage Medium
This application provides a congestion information collection method and a related device. The method includes: A first connection node receives a first packet, obtains congestion information of a segment link including the first connection node, and records the congestion information in a parameter field corresponding to the first connection node in the first packet. By encapsulating a plurality of parameter fields that can be used to record congestion information into a packet, a node on a forwarding path can record congestion information of a plurality of segment links of a transmission path of the packet. In this way, a source node can plan a transmission path of a new packet based on congestion information of each segment link, or a node that generates a packet reduces a packet sending rate when the sent packet needs to pass through a congested node.
SELECTIVELY BYPASSING A ROUTING QUEUE IN A ROUTING DEVICE IN A FIFTH GENERATION (5G) OR OTHER NEXT GENERATION NETWORK
The technologies described herein are generally directed toward shedding processing loads associated with route updates. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that can enable operations facilitating performance of operations including facilitating receiving, from a second routing device via a network, a communication. The operations can further comprise, in response to a queueing delay being determined to be less than a threshold, queueing, in the queue, the communication for a third routing device selected according to a first selection process as being on a route to a destination routing device for the communication. Further, operations to, in response to the queueing delay of the queue being determined to be equal to or above the threshold, transmit the communication to a fourth routing device, with the fourth routing device being selected according to a second selection process different than the first selection process.
MODEM RESET PACKAGE WITH SELF-HEALING
An application or software of a cable modem provides reporting as to one or more issues associated with a reset of a cable modem (CM). Issues related to the upstream (US) link and/or downstream (DS) link of the multiple service operator (MSO) can cause a reboot of a CM coupled to the MSO network. While Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) defines various CM reset codes, these codes fail to identify whether the issue that the caused the reset of the CM related to the US link, the DS link or both. The provided system includes a CM for determining the cause of a reset of the CM as one or more reset codes that can be communicated or reported to the MSO so that the MSO has the information necessary to determine any issues or problems with the US link, the DS link or both.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR NETWORK FUNCTION RECOVERY NOTIFICATION
Systems and methods described herein include receiving, from a first network function, a request to receive a notification when a second network function becomes available after a failure. A status update may be received from the second network function indicating that the second network function is available. It may be determined that the second network function is in a stable state. A notification may be sent, to the first network function, that the second network function is available along with an indication of a time period in which to switch from accessing a third network function to accessing the second network function.
NETWORK SWITCH AND NETWORK SWITCH SYSTEM THEREOF
A network switch and a network switch system thereof are provided. The network switch includes a plurality of connection ports and a processing circuit. When any of the connection ports receives a first abnormal message packet and one of the connection ports is in a disabled state, the processing circuit sets the connection port in the disabled state to switch to an enabled state, and the processing circuit does not forward the first abnormal message packet in the single loop network. When one of the connection ports is abnormal and each of the connection ports forming the single loop network is in the enabled state, the processing circuit sets the abnormal connection port to switch to the disabled state, and transmits a second abnormal message packet to other network switches in the single loop network through another connection port that is not abnormal.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MITIGATING INTER-CELL INTERFERENCE
Disclosed is a method for mitigating inter-cell interference. A method for mitigating inter-cell interference can comprise the steps of: a terminal, which is being serviced by means of a fixed cell, receiving from the fixed cell a first signal that is generated on the basis of a first STBC; the terminal, in time resources overlapping the reception time of the first signal, receiving from a moving cell a second signal that is generated on the basis of a second STBC; and the terminal determining a transmission symbol component on the basis of the first signal and an interference component on the basis of the first signal and the second signal.

ANOMALY DETECTION TRIGGERED PROACTIVE REROUTING FOR SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SaaS) APPLICATION TRAFFIC
In one embodiment, a device forms a telemetry cluster by applying clustering to telemetry data regarding a plurality of network connections over an access network between a plurality of entities and a remote application. The device applies anomaly detection to the telemetry cluster, to identify one or more anomalies. The device makes a determination as to whether the one or more anomalies are attributable to the remote application or to the access network. The device initiates a corrective measure, based on the determination as to whether the one or more anomalies are attributable to the remote application or to the access network.
