FIRST RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGY (RAT) CHANNEL STATE FEEDBACK (CSF) TO INCREASE ACCURACY OF INTERFERENCE ESTIMATES FROM SECOND RAT NEIGHBOR CELLS WITH DYNAMIC SPECTRUM SHARING (DSS)
A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station, a message including at least one reporting configuration and resource configuration for a number of channel state information-interference measurement (CSI-IM) resource patterns associated with a first radio access technology (RAT). Each of the configured CSI-IM resource patterns corresponds to a time and frequency location in a resource block of a neighbor cell associated with a second RAT. The UE transmits one or more CSI reports based on the reporting configuration(s) and the resource configuration(s).
Terminal apparatus and method for transmitting a reference signal
Provided are a radio communication terminal apparatus and a radio transmission method by which intersymbol interference of DM-RS of a CoMP terminal and a Non-CoMP terminal can be reduced. A CoMP set setting unit (102) sets the cell IDs of all cells in the CoMP set in a cell selection unit (104), and a serving cell setting unit (103) sets the cell ID of the serving cell in the cell selection unit (104). The cell selection unit (104) selects the cell ID having a number closest to the cell ID of the serving cell from the cells in the CoMP set. A sequence information calculation unit (106) derives a sequence group number from the selected cell ID, and the sequence information calculation unit (106) calculates a sequence number from the derived sequence group number and a transmission bandwidth of the DM-RS.
Systems and methods for adaptive SRS transmit antenna selection
Systems and methods for selectively enabling antenna selection at a wireless device for uplink sounding reference signal transmission in a Time Division Duplexing (TDD) wireless communication system are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a network node comprises making a determination as to whether to enable or disable antenna selection at a wireless device for transmission of uplink sounding reference signals based on: an estimated speed of movement of the wireless device; both the estimated speed and a Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) for one or more downlink channels to the wireless device; or the estimated speed, the SINR for the one or more downlink channels, and a rank used for downlink transmission to the wireless device. The method further comprises sending, to the wireless device, an indication that indicates whether the wireless device is to enable or disable antenna selection.
SOUNDING REFERENCE TRANSMISSION
A method, wireless device and network node for performing sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission. According to one aspect a method includes receiving a definition of one or more SRS resource sets to be configured, comprising at least one SRS transmission setting. The method further includes receiving an indication of a selected SRS resource set to use for a SRS transmission, from the one or more configured SRS resource sets and determining a precoding configuration for the SRS transmission based on the selected SRS resource set and the at least one SRS transmission setting. The method also includes transmitting a SRS according to the determined precoding configuration.
Method and device for performing communication using orthogonal or nonorthogonal code multiple access scheme in wireless communication system
Provided are a method and a device for transmitting uplink data by using a non-orthogonal code multiple access scheme in a wireless communication system. Specifically, a terminal receives information on a terminal-specific codebook from a base station. The terminal-specific codebook is included in a codebook for a predefined multi-dimensional modulation. The terminal performs multi-dimensional modulation-based encoding on an information bit on the basis of the terminal-specific codebook so as to generate a complex vector. The terminal performs DFT on the complex vector on the basis of the terminal-specific codebook so as to generate a frequency signal. The terminal transmits uplink data generated by performing IFFT on the frequency signal.
Method and apparatus for monitoring, detecting, testing, diagnosing and/or mitigating interference in a communication system
A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, receiving, via an antenna, a signal generated by a communication device, detecting passive intermodulation interference in the signal, the interference generated by one or more transmitters unassociated with the communication device, and the interference determined from signal characteristics associated with a signaling protocol used by the one or more transmitters. Other embodiments are disclosed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING INITIAL ACCESS PROCEDURE FOR LOW COST USER EQUIPMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for performing an initial access procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A low cost user equipment (UE) transmits a list of capabilities to a network, and receives a reject message from the network when at least one of the capabilities is not supported by the network. The list of capabilities may be transmitted during a random access procedure via a random access preamble on a physical random access channel (PRACH) or a lmessage 3 on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The reject message may be received during the random access procedure a random access response or an acknowledge message for the message 3.
Interference management
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for a base station including at least one processing core, configured to cause the apparatus at least to define a first cluster of time-division duplex user equipments at least partly by including in the first cluster user equipments whose uplink signals may be received using a single first directional beamforming beam, determine a ratio of received signal strengths of a pair of user equipments in the first cluster, the pair including a first user equipment associated with the apparatus and a second user equipment associated with a neighbouring base station device, and responsive to the ratio fulfilling a predetermined condition, inform the neighbouring base station device of a scheduling plan of the first user equipment.
