Drone threat assessment
A system for providing integrated detection and deterrence against an unmanned vehicle including but not limited to aerial technology unmanned systems using a detection element, a tracking element, an identification element and an interdiction or deterrent element. Elements contain sensors that observe real time quantifiable data regarding the object of interest to create an assessment of risk or threat to a protected area of interest. This assessment may be based e.g., on data mining of internal and external data sources. The deterrent element selects from a variable menu of possible deterrent actions. Though designed for autonomous action, a Human in the Loop may override the automated system solutions.

Disclosed is a radio frequency communication and jamming device configured for physically secured friendly radio frequency communication and for jamming hostile radio frequency communication, the radio frequency communication and jamming device including: an antenna arrangement having a transmission section for transmitting outgoing signals and a receiving section for receiving incoming signals; a receiver device configured for extracting an incoming information signal from the incoming signals received via the receiving section of the antenna arrangement in a receiving frequency band; a jamming generator configured for generating at least one jamming signal for jamming at least one jamming frequency band, wherein the jamming signal is transmitted as one of the outgoing signals via the transmission section, wherein the at least one jamming frequency band includes the receiving frequency band; and a self-interference cancellation device configured for cancelling portions of the at least one jamming signal in the incoming signals received via the receiving section at least in the receiving frequency band.
Apparatus and method for physical layer security commuication in wireless communication system
An operation method of a terminal in a wireless communication system includes: transmitting uplink (UL) traffic information indicating a size of a UL data signal to a base station; receiving a jamming message generated based on the UL traffic information from the base station; generating an uplink (UL) transmission signal including the UL data signal and a UL jamming signal based on the jamming message; and transmitting the UL transmission signal to the base station. Also, the jamming message indicates a pattern of the UL jamming signal, the UL transmission signal is transmitted in a same frequency band as a frequency band in which a downlink (DL) transmission signal of the base station is received, and the UL jamming signal is transmitted in remaining resources excluding resources occupied by the UL data signal in the frequency band.
UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE JAMMER
An aerial vehicle system is comprised of a detector, a signal generator, and a transmitter. The detector is configured to detect a presence of a target unmanned aerial vehicle within a range of the aerial vehicle system. The signal generator is configured to generate a communication disruption signal. The transmitter is configured to trigger a transmission of the communication disruption signal based in part on the detected presence of the target unmanned aerial vehicle.
Unmanned aerial vehicle intrusion detection and countermeasures
A system deploys electronic countermeasures against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that are determined to be a threat. A radio transceiver coupled to at least one antenna detects if radio signals are being communicated between a remote control unit and a UAV. A mitigation engine communicatively coupled to the radio transceiver synthesizes an exploit signal to be transmitted to the UAV, wherein the exploit signal is configured to inject commands into the UAV's navigation system. If the system determines that the UAV is operating in an autopilot mode, it transmits an induce-mode signal that causes the UAVs to switch to a communication mode so the UAV is responsive to the exploit signal.
System and method for jamming a target acquisition
A system for jamming a target acquisition, which starts at a position and may be detected by a detector that provides a detection signal in response to the target acquisition includes a warning device for outputting a warning, in case the detector outputs a detection signal. The system also includes an optical jammer configured to provide at least one jamming signal, and a directing device configured to direct the jamming signal towards the position in response to the output warning in order to prevent target acquisition or at least to make target acquisition more difficult.

A method of increasing reliability of a wireless radio includes: creating a first waveform at a first center frequency of an encoded data stream using a first wireless radio; creating a second waveform at a second center frequency of the encoded data stream using the first wireless radio; combining the first waveform and the second waveform into a composite waveform with redundant data streams at different center frequencies using the first wireless radio; wirelessly transmitting the composite waveform using the first wireless radio; wirelessly receiving the composite waveform; filtering the received composite waveform using a first filter band; digitizing the received composite waveform using the second wireless radio; demodulating the digitized composite waveform into a first data stream and a second data stream with the second wireless radio; and creating a third data stream representative of the encoded data stream.

An apparatus of controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA) neutralization for an illegal unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes an interference signal generator transmitting a direct wave toward a CRPA of an illegal UAV through a first transmission antenna and transmitting a first reflected wave inducing signal through a second transmission antenna and a first passive propagation mirror reflecting the first reflected wave inducing signal toward the illegal UAV so that the first reflected wave propagates toward the CRPA of the illegal UAV.
System and method for improving wireless data links
A system and method of improving data link performance between two or more wireless data transceivers includes: clipping and inverting the data components of a communication signal which are calculated to cause non-linear saturation effects in the downstream power amplifier; delaying a first time series to align the first time series with the clipped and inverted data components of a second time series; adding the clipped and inverted data components of the second time series to the delayed first time series to obtain a modified composite waveform; creating a sacrificial band containing principal energy of the clipped and inverted data components of the second time series; harvesting the principal energy of the sacrificial band to obtain an optimized composite waveform; and amplifying the optimized composite waveform with the downstream power amplifier of one or more of the two or more wireless data transceivers.
