INTERNAL CARD READER SKIMMER DISRUPTER
A dual antiphase read-head arranged card reader is provided. The card reader includes a first read-head arrangement and a second read-head arrangement. Electromagnetic noise is applied to both the first and second arrangements. Waves associated with the electromagnetic noise on the second arrangement is transformed and applied to the first arrangement canceling the noise on a first read head of the first arrangement. The first read head reads magnetically encoded information on a magnetic strip of a card inserted into a card slot of the card reader free of noise. However, the noise remains present such that any skimmer read head of a skimmer inserted into the card slot is unable to read the magnetically encoded information off the magnetic strip of the card.
NFC Tags with Proximity Detection
Systems, apparatuses and methods provide for detecting the proximate placement of an external NFC reader to a specific location on a display surface. The display surface can be intended for viewing indicia and enabling interaction with an NFC communication device embedded within the display. A circuit can control an NFC security system that can scan for unauthorized tags affixed to the surface of a display. The NFC security system may be activated by an NFC enabled mobile phone placed proximate to the indicated region for receiving an NFC coded message from the display. An NFC security scan can be performed prior to the mobile phone reading the message from the intended NFC tag in the display. Enabling interactive display modes can allow for making selections indicated on the display or detecting motion gestures across the face of the display.
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA CONTAINED ON AN RFID-ENABLED DEVICE
A system for protecting personal data contained on an RFID-enabled device, suitable for use with an RFID system including an RFID reader configured to extract information from an RFID chip associated with the RFID-enabled device, includes a personal data protection system including a personal data protection device configured to prevent reading of the RFID chip associated with an RFID-enabled personal item.
Antenna and transceiver for transmitting a secure signal
An accelerated superluminal polarization currents (ASPC) transceiver includes an ASPC transmitter including a plurality of ASPC radiator elements, the ASPC transmitter transmitting a radio signal that is focused in a target direction and scrambled in other directions; and a radio receiver, wherein the center of a pulse of the radio signal has a transit time t.sub.c from an end of the ASPC transmitter, at a first position x.sub.0, to a second position x along the ASPC transmitter given by the following equation: t.sub.c=[R.sup.2+x.sub.0.sup.2+2Rx.sub.0 cos .sub.0].sup.1/2[R.sup.2+x.sup.2+2Rx cos .sub.0].sup.1/2, where R is a target distance from the ASPC transmitter and .sub.0 is a target angle and
System, apparatus, and method for generating and transmitting an interruption signal to a substantially autonomous vehicle
Novel apparatus and methods for generating and transmitting an interruption signal to a request for a substantially autonomous vehicle taxi-service based on user-supplied input are presented. The disclosure provides an efficient technique for interrupting an initial request for a substantially autonomous vehicle taxi-service and in some embodiments, further enables for the rescheduling of the request for a substantially autonomous vehicle taxi-service to a future point in time based upon user supplied input.
INTERFERENCE MITIGATION IN WLAN/WPAN CO-EXISTENCE NETWORKS
This invention generally relates to interference mitigation, and more specifically to interference mitigation in wireless communications networks. The proposed solution takes advantage of the clear channel assessment (CCA) function used by WLAN networks. Hence, by jamming the interfering WLAN channel during a predetermined time period, the interfering WLAN network is forced to withhold transmissions on the WLAN interfering channel during a backoff period of time. The solution of the subject application makes use of this backoff period to enable a WPAN network to transmit critical information such as, but not limited to, a request for changing the current working frequency.
INHIBITING UNAUTHORISED CONTACTLESS READING OF CONTACTLESS READABLE OBJECT
A jamming device for inhibiting unauthorised contactless reading of a contactless readable object is disclosed. In one embodiment, the jamming device includes: an antenna for receiving an interrogation signal from a reader device; a touch sensitive interface; and a circuit electrically connected to the antenna and the touch sensitive interface, wherein the circuit is configured to: operate in a first mode to generate and emit a jamming signal, via the antenna, in response to receiving the interrogation signal whilst the touch sensitive interface fails to indicate a touch event; and operate in a second mode whilst the touch sensitive interface indicates a touch event, wherein the jamming signal is not emitted via the antenna in response to receiving the interrogation signal whilst operating in the second mode. A card carrying object, system and method is also disclosed.
RFID DISRUPTION DEVICE AND RELATED METHODS
Devices and methods of disrupting data transfer between an RFID interrogation device (50, 50) and an RFID data storage device (30, 30) to be protected, are provided. An example of an embodiment of an RFID signal disruptor device includes a container (41, 141) and an RFID signal disruptor circuit (151, 161, 161, 171, 171, 271, 271) configured to substantially disrupt the signal provided by the RFID interrogation device (50, 50) when the RFID signal disruptor device is positioned to protect the RFID data storage device (30, 30). The RFID signal disruptor device can also include an interrogation indicator (63, 296) configured to indicate to a user of the RFID data storage device (30, 30) that an unauthorized RFID interrogation device (50, 50) is attempting to interrogate the RFID data storage device (30, 30) when the RFID signal disruptor device is positioned in close proximity to the RFID data storage device (30, 30) to provide protection thereto and when the RFID interrogation device (50, 50) is producing the interrogation signal.
