Discriminating and Mitigating SNS Spoofing Signals

A system and method for discriminating and mitigating spoofing signals incoming to a satellite navigation system. Beam steering techniques are used to steer a null toward a legitimate satellite signal that is being spoofed. The spoofing signal is then tracked and its angle of arrival measured. A null is steered toward the measured angle of arrival of the spoofing signal, and the spoofing signal is confirmed by determining if there is a signal remaining with nulls on both the legitimate satellite signal and the spoofing signal. The null toward the legitimate satellite signal is then replaced with unity gain.

Detecting timing anomalies

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for adapting to malware activity on a compromised computer system by detecting timing anomalies between timing signals. An embodiment operates by analyzing first timing data accessed from a validated source and second timing data accessed from an unvalidated receiver source in order to compute a threat detection value, which is utilized to determine if there is a discrepancy or anomaly in the timing or frequency of either the validated and unvalidated sources.

System and method for detecting GPS signal spoofing

A method, a system, and computer readable medium for detecting interference with a navigation system are provided. The method includes detecting a global positioning system (GPS) signal via the navigation system of a vehicle, determining a signal strength of the GPS signal, determining a location of the vehicle based on the GPS signal, and determining a first attribute and a second attribute. The first attribute is determined as a function of the signal strength. The second attribute is determined as a function of the location of the vehicle. The method further includes outputting an alert indicating an interference with the navigation system when the first attribute and the second attribute are true.

Circular patch array for anti-jam GPS

The system and method of global positioning system (GPS) anti-jam (AJ) AJ antennas utilizing a circular array of patch antennas. In some cases the circular array is conformal. The elements are single patch, dual band (L1/L2) and are linearly polarized. A mode former and progressive phase tapers are used.

Automatic external RF gain calibration and continuous jamming measurement

A system and method provide automatic RF path gain calibration independent of RF interference levels to preserve solution trust capabilities. After a system is powered ON, or a new antenna is attached (hot swap), a smart antenna assembly combined with a jammer power estimator within an RF receiver functions to autonomously measure internal gains within the RF path, calibrate the new antenna installation, and thereby measure a level of interference associated with the external environment from that point forward. A controller commands the antenna calibration retrieving antenna details and RF path gain calibration while measuring local jamming at the receiver input. Should the controller determine a level of jamming effectiveness is present, it offers a user a display of the local jamming levels enabling the user accurate theater decision making regarding the accuracy and availability of desirable signal.

A system includes at least one reception unit installed in an aircraft and configured for tracking satellites of the satellite navigation system of the GNSS type. The system includes a generation unit for generating an expected number corresponding to the number of satellites that the reception unit is expected to track, a detection unit including a comparison part for comparing the expected number with a tracked number corresponding to the number of satellites that the reception unit is actually tracking and a decision part for detecting a jamming, as a function of the result of the comparison made by the comparison part and transmitting detection data in the event of detection, and a transmission unit configured to transmit jamming detection data to at least one user device, the system making it possible to detect a jamming of a GNSS system in an automatic and reliable manner.

A method for authentication of GNSS messages by an authentication transmitter apparatus comprising a reference receiver, an authentication server and an authentication transmitter. The method comprises: receiving, by the reference receiver, a plurality of navigation messages from a plurality of GNSS satellites; hashing, by the authentication server, the navigation messages to create a plurality of hashed messages; creating, by the authentication server, a table comprising the plurality of hashed messages; signing, by the authentication server, the table to create a signed table comprising the hashed messages and acryptographic signature, and transmitting, by the authentication transmitter, the signed table to an authentication receiver apparatus.
