METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ACTIVATING OR DEACTIVATING RELIABLE TRANSMISSION
Provided is a method for activating or deactivating a reliable transmission. The method includes: acquiring the maximum transmission time; and activating or deactivating a reliable transmission according to the maximum transmission time, wherein the reliable transmission includes at least one of the following: a duplicated transmission mode, a repeated transmission mode, and a transmission mode including a target MCS. On the basis of the above-mentioned solution, a terminal device can activate a reliable transmission when data transmission fails and a transmission time does not exceed the maximum transmission time, the probability of successful data transmission within the maximum transmission time can be improved, and the transmission, which is not within the maximum transmission time, of other data is not affected.
RATE ADAPTATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
The technology of this application relates to a rate adaptation method and apparatus. The method includes, when a rate adaptation requirement exists, inserting a rate adaptation code block only between two adjacent code blocks whose code block relationship meets a preset condition, or deleting only a rate adaptation code block between two code blocks whose code block relationship meets a preset condition. In this way, it can be ensured that correctness of parsing a packet by a receive side after the receive side receives the packet is not affected by rate adaptation, and reliability of rate adaptation can be improved.
Message Fault Localization and Correction in 5G and 6G
Message faults are likely to be common in the noisy, high-density wireless environments planned for 5G and 6G. Disclosed is a method for a receiver to recover the correct message from one or more corrupted message copies, by (a) measuring the modulation quality of each message element, and (b) determining which message elements of two corrupted copies are “inconsistent”, that is, the corresponding message elements are different. The modulation quality can be determined according to how close the message element's modulation is to the predetermined modulation levels of the modulation scheme. The receiver can assemble a merged message by selecting whichever message elements of the two copies have the best modulation quality, and determine whether the merged message is still corrupted. If so, the receiver can sequentially replace the inconsistent message elements with those of the other copy, singly or in a comprehensive nested search, testing each version until successful.
SUPPORT OF HIGH PATHLOSS MODE
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device (e.g., a user equipment and/or base station) may operate in a first mode in a wireless network over a radio frequency spectrum band. The wireless device may receive a signal indicating that a value of the radio frequency spectrum band has satisfied a threshold value. The wireless device may switch, based at least in part on the signal indicating that the value has satisfied the threshold value, from the first mode to a second mode for wireless communications in the wireless network, wherein a first length of a first synchronization signal block associated with the first mode is shorter than a second length of a second synchronization signal block associated with the second mode.
Devices and methods for adaptive decoding and core scrambling in multi-core fiber transmission systems
A decoder for determining an estimate of a vector of information symbols carried by optical signals propagating along a multi-core fiber in an optical fiber transmission channel according to two or more cores is provided. The decoder is implemented in an optical receiver. The optical signals are encoded using a space-time coding scheme and/or scrambled by at least one scrambling device arranged in the optical fiber transmission channel according to a predefined scrambling function. The decoder comprises a processing unit configured to adaptively: determine, in response to a temporal condition, one or more channel quality indicators from the optical signals; determine a decoding algorithm according to a target quality of service metric and on the one or more channel quality indicators; update the predefined scrambling function and/or the space-time coding scheme depending on the target quality of service metric and on the one or more channel quality indicators. The decoder further comprises a symbol estimation unit configured to determine an estimate of a vector of information symbols by applying the decoding algorithm to the optical signals.
MEASURING SELF-INTERFERENCE FOR FULL-DUPLEX COMMUNICATIONS
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a first device may transmit a reference signal to a second device and the second device may measure self-interference at the second device. In a first example, the second device may transmit an indication of channel state information to the first device along with an interference report including a measure of the self-interference, which the first device may use to determine an MCS and/or a rank. In a second example, the second device may determine an MCS and/or rank based on measuring the self-interference. In some examples, the second device may transmit a first indication of the MCS and/or rank determined based on measuring the self-interference to the first device along with a second indication that the MCS and/or rank is associated with full-duplex communications at the second device.
Spatial reuse in wireless communication
A method of wireless communication may include monitoring, by a first device, a medium for frames in response to preparing to transmit a first frame to a second device. The method may also include while monitoring the medium and before transmitting the first frame, obtaining a second frame transmitted by a third device in the medium and adjusting a transmission of the first frame to the second device in the medium based on obtaining the second frame.
