11658771 · 2023-05-23 · ·

Methods are described for identifying and acting upon predetermined message patterns during reception of a data stream structured as USB message frames. A first embodiment performs pattern matching between received message bits and one or more predetermined sequences, identifying unscrambled ordered set messages. A second embodiment applies a descrambling operation and performs comparable pattern matching between descrambled received message bits and one or more additional predetermined sequences, identifying scrambled ordered set messages.

Multichip package link error detection

First data is received on a plurality of data lanes of a physical link and a stream signal corresponding to the first data is received on a stream lane identifying a type of the first data. A first instance of an error detection code of a particular type is identified in the first data. Second data is received on at least a portion of the plurality of data lanes and a stream signal corresponding to the second data is received on the stream lane identifying a type of the second data. A second instance of the error detection code of the particular type is identified in the second data. The stream lane is another one of the lanes of the physical link and, in some instance, the type of the second data is different from the type of the first data.

User station for a serial bus system, and method for transmitting a message in a serial bus system

A user station is described. The user station includes a communication control device for transmitting and/or receiving messages to/from a bus of a serial bus system, a format switchover checking unit for checking whether the communication control devices of the bus system have switched over the format of the messages from a first format in a first communication phase to a second format for a second communication phase, and a transceiver device which, for transmitting in the first format, generates a first bus state for a first digital data state of the messages and a second bus state for the second digital data state of the messages so that the second bus state can overwrite the first bus state. The transceiver device, for transmitting in the second format, generates different bus states so that the bus states for the different digital data states of the messages cannot overwrite one another.

A pair of ground planes arranged in parallel, a dielectric medium disposed in between the pair of ground planes, and a set of at least four signal conductors disposed in the dielectric medium, the set of at least four signal conductors having (i) a first pair of signal conductors arranged proximate to a first ground plane of the pair of ground planes and (ii) a second pair of signal conductors arranged proximate to a second ground plane of the pair of ground planes, each signal conductor of the set of at least four signal conductors configured to carry a respective signal corresponding to a symbol of a codeword of a vector signaling code.

METHOD FOR CYCLICALLY TRANSMITTING DATA BETWEEN COMMUNICATION SUBSCRIBERS ON A DATA TRANSMISSION CHANNEL, AND DATA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
20220294565 · 2022-09-15 ·

In a data-transmission system, a first amount of data can be transmitted in each transmission cycle. A data generator provides a second amount of data for each transmission cycle. The first amount of data exceeds the second amount of data by a percentage. The data generator transmits the data provided by the data generator to a data processor at the data transmission rate of the data-transmission channel. The data processor processes the data received from the data generator on the data-transmission channel, delayed by the number of transmission cycles required for the data generator to respond to a command from the data processor. The data processor indicates a transmission cycle as faulty with the aid of a repeat command if an error has occurred in the data transmission, and the data generator repeats the transmission of the data of the cycle indicated as faulty upon receiving the repeat command.

COMMUNICATION CONTROL DEVICE FOR A USER STATION FOR A SERIAL BUS SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING IN A SERIAL BUS SYSTEM

A communication control device for a user station. The communication control device controls a communication of the user station with at least one other user station of the bus system, and generates a transmission signal for transmission onto a bus and/or receives a signal from the bus. The communication control device generates the transmission signal according to a frame in which bits having a predetermined temporal length are provided. The communication control device generates the transmission signal so that its bits may be transmitted bus as a dominant state or a recessive state, so that the recessive state is overwritable by the dominant state. The communication control device shortens in the transmission signal at least one bit, which is to be transmitted as the dominant state, by a predetermined value in comparison to a bit that is to be transmitted onto the bus as the recessive state.

A signal transceiving system includes: a first signal transceiver terminal; and a second signal transceiver terminal wired coupled to the first signal transceiver terminal. The first signal transceiver terminal transmits a digital signal to the second signal transceiver terminal. In response to detection of a first signal edge, the second signal transceiver terminal starts counting of a first time slot. Based on a count of at least one signal edge detected during the first time slot, the second signal transceiver terminal judges the digital signal as being logic “0” or logic “1”.

Data transmission method and apparatus having data reuse mechanism

The present invention discloses a data transmission method having data reuse mechanism that includes the steps outlined below. A driver corresponding to a communication circuit is operated as a transmission terminal to analyze under-transmitted data to generate reuse setting information, indication information and packets having a complete packet and incomplete packets so as to be transmitted by the transmission terminal through a transmission interface to be received by the communication circuit as a receiving terminal. The receiving terminal identifies the complete packet and the incomplete packets according to the indication information. A data location that a reusable data section corresponds to is determined according to the reuse information. The complete packet is outputted. A non-reusable data section of each of the incomplete packets and the reusable data section of the complete packet are reconstructed to output reconstructed packets according to the data location.

An interface obtains basic page information from another interface. The basic page information includes N bits, the N bits include an FEC function indicator bit sequence including an FEC ability indicator bit and an FEC requested indicator bit. The interface determines, based on values of a plurality of bits in the N bits, an operation mode supported by the another interface. The FEC function indicator bit sequence includes a first FEC function indicator bit corresponding to m FEC abilities; or the FEC function indicator bit sequence includes a first FEC ability indicator bit corresponding to n FEC abilities, where both m and n are greater than or equal to 1. Because one FEC function indicator bit indicates more FEC abilities, N bits in a basic page can carry more information, so that a process of increasing auto-negotiation pages is slowed down, thereby avoiding impact on auto-negotiation efficiency.
