Status signal output

A data bus subscriber connected to a local bus, particularly a ring bus. The data bus subscriber has a status signal input for receiving a first status signal value from a downstream data bus subscriber or a terminator, a status signal output for providing a second status signal value to an upstream data bus subscriber or to a local bus master, wherein the data bus subscriber is adapted to provide the second status signal value based on a logical link of a communication readiness of the data bus subscriber and the first status signal value. The invention further relates to a corresponding method and a local bus.

Distribution of data over a network with interconnected rings

Systems and methods distributing data within a network for long-term storage are provided. Confederate host computers are arranged into interconnected rings by bridging confederate host computers. Payloads are routed through the network to a respective one of the rings associated with a respective one of the ring identifiers matching the identifier of the respective data payload for storage. Preferably, the bridging confederate host computers identify a destination ring for the payloads, transmit the payload to a next confederate host computer in a current ring where an identifier for the payload matches a ring identifier for the current ring, and transmit the payload to a next confederate host computer in a connected ring where the identifier associated with the payload does not match the ring identifier for the current ring.

Car-loaded communication apparatus, in-car communication system, communication method and program

A car-loaded communication apparatus comprises: an acquisition part; and a selection part. The acquisition part acquires car information related to a state of a car in which a communication network is constructed inside, or an environment in which the car is placed. The selection part selects a communication route of a flow accommodating a transmission packet(s) from a plurality of communication routes included in the communication network, based on: the car information; and communication route information related to a communication route(s) included in the communication network.

Cyber security anonymizer

A cyber security system for providing security to a railway, the system comprising: a data monitoring and processing hub; a network comprising a plurality of data collection agents synchronized to a same network clock and configured to monitor railway infrastructure devices and onboard devices of rolling stock having a train communication network (TCN), and forward monitored data to the hub for processing by the hub to detect anomalies in railway operation that are indicative of a cyber-attack; at least one anonymizer configured to scrub information items from data that the hub receives from a data collection agent of the plurality of data collection agents which may be used to identify the cyber security system or the railway for which the system provides security.

Web handling system

A web handling system is described, including a plurality of web handling controllers and a web handling process logic controller networked to form a ring network. A processor of the web handling process logic controller being configured to determine whether a fault exists within the ring network, and responsive to determining that a fault exists within the ring network, to generate and send signals throughout the ring network to switch the configuration of the ring network to at least one linear network.

NETWORK DEVICE, NETWORK SYSTEM AND PROGRAM

An object of the present disclosure is to provide a network system that prevents traffic of frames between networks while connecting the networks to each other via a plurality of boundary devices.

The present disclosure is a network device set in a boundary of a first network and connected to a second network different from the first network, the network device discriminating that a frame flowing into the first network from the second network is a broadcast frame, an unknown unicast frame, or a multicast frame and, when a frame flowing out from the first network to the second network is a frame discriminated as the broadcast frame, the unknown unicast frame, or the multicast frame flowing into the first network from the second network, discarding the frame.

METHOD TO COMMISSION A DISTRIBUTED SYSTEM

A method and system are provided to facilitate the commissioning of a distributed system. The method and system obtains a base configuration which defines an expected virtual topology for a distributed system, and identifies via a control device a physical network topology of the distributed system to commission the distributed system. The control device performs network discovery to identify a plurality of connected devices that are communicatively coupled thereto, and to collect device information for each connected device relating to its identity and relative position in the distributed system which has connected devices or associated subnetworks connected in a ring network topology. The collected device information for the plurality of connected devices is compared to the expected virtual topology from the base configuration to determine an identity and physical location of the plurality of connected devices and associated subnetworks in the physical network topology of the distributed system.
