SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONFIGURING NETWORK ELEMENTS
A method and apparatus to configure a plurality of network elements is described. In an exemplary embodiment, an automation controller receives a plurality of labels for the plurality of network elements. Each of the plurality of labels is associated with a different configlet and each of the different configlets includes a configuration command. The automation controller further assembles the plurality of configlets into separate configurations corresponding to each of the plurality of network elements. In addition, the automation controller configures each of the plurality of network elements using the separate configuration corresponding to that network element.
Context based conditional access for cloud services
A cloud service access and information gateway receives a first authentication factor for a user in a single sign-on system. The single sign-on system provides access to a plurality of cloud services. The gateway receives, from a user device, a request to access a cloud service of the plurality of cloud services. The gateway compares a context of the request to an access policy for the single sign-on system and grants conditional access to the cloud service based on the access policy.
ARCHITECTURE FOR REMOTE CONTROL OF IOT (INTERNET OF THINGS) DEVICES
A method includes implementing a single GUI for all the appliances which includes a set of input panels, an appliance selector panel and an output panel, communicating with the appliances with a multiplicity of agents, each implementing one appliance protocol of communication and converting between an internal format and the appliance protocol of communication; controlling activity of the agents, receiving a user command to a selected appliance issued from one of the input panels and generating at least one associated internal command in response to the user commands, providing the at least one associated internal command to the controlling for instruction to one of the agents associated with the selected appliance, storing information about each appliance to be controlled by the remote controller, and receiving notifications from the agents about the state of at least one of the appliances and providing the notifications to be displayed on the GUI.
Reliable and resilient end-to-end connectivity for heterogeneous networks
Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to connectivity management in a heterogeneous network and provide a method, system and computer program product for resilient and reliable end-to-end connectivity in a heterogeneous network. In one embodiment of the invention, a method for resilient and reliable end-to-end connectivity in a heterogeneous network environment can be provided. The method can include creating an instance of an abstracted network resource model (NRM) for a heterogeneous network environment of different network resource nodes. The method further can include binding an application endpoint in the instance of the abstracted NRM with a connectivity endpoint for a first of the different network resource nodes. Finally, the method can include re-binding the application endpoint to a second of the different network resource nodes in response to detecting the outage.
Extensible interoperability of network devices
The subject system allows network devices utilizing any number of networking technologies (including to-be-developed technologies) to access a common abstraction layer and/or the network operations facilitated by a common abstraction layer. The subject system allows a device that is added to a network to communicate whether existing devices on the network should retrieve communication protocol information for facilitating communication with the added device from a remote server. For example, the devices may locally store communication protocol information for certain network technologies, e.g. legacy network technologies, while information corresponding to other network technologies may not be locally stored. The added device may provide a resource locator to the existing devices for accessing the communication protocol information from the remote server. The existing network devices may retrieve the communication protocol information via the resource locator, and may utilize the communication protocol information to facilitate communication with the added device.
Methods and apparatus for unified integration and processing of a variety of information sensors and systems
An embodiment of a method for implementing an information processing system with numerous and varied information sources in a way that dramatically reduces the challenge of implementing such a system. A preferred embodiment contains connectors to external elements (114). Message canonicalizers (115) and message de-canonicalizers (116) allow any number of external elements to connect as both information sources and sinks. Information moves through a track (117), which is governed by the track information structure. Any number of processing elements (119) can be added to the track and are mapped to the track information structure. A track information store (120) is associated with the track and parallels the track information structure.
Web services and telecom network management unification
A method of unifying web services and telecom network management is described. The method comprises exporting an external model representation of at least one entity of a service oriented architecture of a service oriented architecture manager and importing the exported external model representation of the at least one entity as a network management data model entity of a network manager. The method further comprises subscribing, by the network manager, to subsequent updates of the at least one entity.

A method for managing a network device that includes a network operating system (NOS) and a third-party network operating system (3PNOS) includes detecting a 3PNOS state change in a 3PNOS database managed by the 3PNOS, translating the 3PNOS state change into a network device state change, storing the network device state change in a state database managed by the NOS, in response to the storing: detecting a change in the state database by a NOS agent executing in the NOS, initiating, in response to detecting the change in the state database, an update to hardware on the network device by the NOS, wherein the 3PNOS does not directly manage the hardware.

INTEGRATED MULTI-PROVIDER COMPUTE PLATFORM
The present invention includes embodiments of systems and methods for addressing the interdependencies that result from integrating the computing resources of multiple hardware and software providers. The integrated, multi-provider cloud-based platform of the present invention employs abstraction layers for communicating with and integrating the resources of multiple back-end hardware providers, multiple software providers and multiple license servers. These abstraction layers and associated functionality free users not only from having to implement and configure provider-specific protocols, but also from having to address interdependencies among selected hardware, software and license servers on a job-level basis or at other levels of granularity.
