SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING STATUS OF NETWORK COMPONENTS IN A NETWORK CONFIGURATION
A system and method for monitoring configuration status of a plurality of network components of a network. The method comprises generating, based on a network object model, a first configuration file indicative of expected configuration status of the plurality of network components, the network model comprising Node objects, Interface objects, evpnEdge objects and Layer objects. The method further comprises receiving a second configuration file indicative of current configuration status of the plurality of network components, the first and second configuration files comprising tagged sections and sub-sections, and comparing the first and second configuration files comprising comparing a first sub-section of the first configuration file with a corresponding second sub-section of the second configuration file based on tags of the first and second sub-sections, the first and second sub-sections comprising configuration commands relative to one of the plurality of network components.

Methods and apparatus in a fifth-generation wireless communications network, including an example method, in a wireless device, that includes determining a reporting quality threshold for a parameter related to channel state information (CSI); performing a measurement for each of a plurality of beams from a first predetermined set of beams for evaluation; evaluating the measurement for each of the plurality of beams against the reporting quality threshold; discontinuing the performing and evaluating of measurements in response to determining that the reporting quality threshold is met for one of the beams, such that one or more beams in the first predetermined set of beams are not measured and evaluated; and reporting, to the wireless communications network, CSI for the one of the beams.
Communications using the common object request broker architecture (CORBA)
Communications using the common object request broker architecture (CORBA) is disclosed. The communications are between a first computing device and a second computing device separated by a NAT device. The first computing device issues a request conforming to the CORBA protocol to obtain an IOR for an object from the second computing device. A first request interceptor on the first device adds a public IP address of the second computing device as user-defined data in the request. A second request interceptor on the second computing device extracts the IP address from the request and stores it. The second computing device builds the IOR for the object including embedding the public IP address of the second computing device in the IOR. The second computing device sends the IOR to the first computing device. The first computing device then establishes a successful connection to the public IP address received in the IOR.

One embodiment of the present invention provides a computing system. The computing system includes processing circuitry, one or more ports, a persistent storage module, and a management module. The persistent storage module stores a plurality of persistent storage instances associated with a plurality of switch groups. A respective persistent storage instance stores configuration information associated with a switch group in a data structure. The management module identifies at least two switch groups, which are associated with a logical network, from the plurality of switch groups and configures a respective virtual network representing the logical network in a respective identified switch group. The management module also maintains a mapping between a respective virtual network and the logical network.

An image forming apparatus includes multiple network interfaces to be connected to different networks, a management-information storage, a management-information generating unit, and a transmitting unit. The management-information storage stores management information. In accordance with a management information transmission request received via one of the network interfaces, the management-information generating unit extracts information which is to be transmitted through the network interface through which the request has been received, from the management information, and generates transmission management information to be transmitted. The transmitting unit transmits the transmission management information generated by the management-information generating unit, from the network interface through which the request has been received.
Security information for updating an authorization database in managed networks
A method for amending, by a rule engine, a network element in a telecommunications network containing network elements each described by at least one parameter. An authorization database contains information for who and what extent configuring operators have access to the network elements, and a rule repository containing parameter dependent rules describing which activity is carried out for the network elements, and parameter dependent security information describing whether and how configuring operators are supervised by a security administrator when amending and how the authorization database is amended for a network element. A request for amending the network element in the network is identified and its parameter is determined. A rule is determined in the rule repository for which the parameter corresponds to the parameter of the amended network element and the security information for the determined rule is determined. The authorization database is updated using the security information.
Methods and systems for object-oriented modeling of networks
At least one development module in communication with at least one processor and at least one memory may assemble at least one network model comprising at least one of a plurality of classes, the assembling being performed using object oriented modeling, each class comprising at least one property defining at least one network concept for at least one network device. At least one control module in communication with the at least one processor and the at least one memory may generate the at least one network concept from the at least one network model. At least one orchestration module in communication with the at least one processor and the at least one memory may transmit the at least one network concept to the at least one network device corresponding to the at least one class in the at least one network model.
Skeletal Refresh for Management Platforms
A method of implementations includes determining, by a processing device in a management platform, an occurrence of an inventory event in a computing environment managed by the management platform, wherein the computing environment comprises a plurality of managed objects, and invoking a relationship handler to obtain identifying attributes for a target managed object corresponding to the inventory event. The relationship handler is further to update the identifying attributes and relationship attributes corresponding to the target managed object in an inventory tree maintained by the management platform, the relationship attributes comprising an identification of affiliations between two or more managed objects and for each managed object affiliated to the target managed object, and schedule a job in a message queue to update each of the attributes for the managed object, the detailed attributes comprising attributes of the managed object that are not identifying attributes or relationship attributes.
Remote embedded device update platform apparatuses, methods and systems
The Remote Embedded Device Update Platform Apparatuses, Methods and Systems (“REDUP”) transforms telemetry inputs via REDUP components into remote embedded updates outputs. The REDUP may include a memory and processor with instructions to: obtain a remote embedded device connection request message from a remote embedded device and analyze the message to determine a version of embedded instructions on the remote embedded device. With that, the REDUP may determine if other remote embedded devices similar to the remote embedded device have provided request messages by searching a remote embedded device connection request message database. This allows the REDUP to determine if a potential issue requiring updates on the remote embedded device exists. With that, the REDUP may determine and provide an update for the remote embedded device.
