Network latency measurement and analysis system
Deploying a point of presence (PoP) changes traffic flow to a cloud service provider. To determine if the PoP improves the performance of a cloud service to a client, actual network latencies between the client and the cloud service are measured. In more complex scenarios, multiple PoPs are used. The client sends multiple requests for the same content to the cloud provider. The requests are sent via different routes. The cloud provider serves the requests and collates the latency information. Based on the latency information, a route for a future request is selected, resources are allocated, or a user interface is presented. The process of determining the latency for content delivered by different routes may be repeated for content of different sizes. A future request is routed along the network path that provides the lowest latency for the data being requested.
Technique for transmitting and receiving system time information in broadcasting system
The present disclosure provides a data transmission method of a system in an IP based broadcasting network, the data transmission method comprising the steps of: generating an MPEG media transport protocol (MMTP) packet using a media processing unit (MPU) for a service; generating an IP packet using the MMTP packet; generating a layer 2 (L2) packet using the IP packet and generating a layer 1 (L1) packet stream using the L2 packet; and transmitting the L1 packet stream, wherein absolute time information of the system is included in one of a transmission frame of the L1 packet stream and the L2 packet.

Programmable infrastructure gateway for enabling hybrid cloud services in a network environment
An example method for a programmable infrastructure gateway for enabling hybrid cloud services in a network environment is provided and includes receiving an instruction from a hybrid cloud application executing in a private cloud, interpreting the instruction according to a hybrid cloud application programming interface, and executing the interpreted instruction in a public cloud using a cloud adapter. The method is generally executed in the infrastructure gateway including a programmable integration framework allowing generation of various cloud adapters using a cloud adapter software development kit, the cloud adapter being generated and programmed to be compatible with a specific public cloud platform of the public cloud. In specific embodiments, identical copies of the infrastructure gateway can be provided to different cloud service providers who manage disparate public cloud platforms; each copy of the infrastructure gateway can be programmed differently to generate corresponding cloud adapters compatible with the respective public cloud platforms.

Remote monitoring of a security operations center (SOC)
Systems and methods for remote monitoring of a Security Operations Center (SOC) via a mobile application are provided. According to one embodiment, a management service retrieves information regarding multiple network elements that are associated with an enterprise network and extracts parameters of the monitored network elements from the retrieved information. The management service prioritizes the monitored network elements by determining a severity level associated with security-related issues of the network elements and generates various monitoring views that summarize in real time various categories of potential security-related issues detected by the SOC. Further, the management service assigns a priority to each monitoring view and displays a video on the display device that cycles through monitoring views in accordance with their respective assigned priorities.
Remote server management using a power line network
Systems and method of remote server management replace the traditional server network port associated network cabling with power line networking by using a server's power cables are used to carry both power and Ethernet traffic between the remote server and a network management switch. In this manner, the amount of network cabling in a server rack is reduced, and the need for a management port on a server is eliminated, freeing up ports on a top of rack switch that, otherwise, would have been used for management purposes only.

Method and system to automate device management user interface hosting of devices, assets, and appliances
Described herein are methods and a system for managing devices in remote data centers using a cloud service user interface (UI). The cloud service UI receives device management requests to device management application program interface (API). At the cloud service side, the device management requests to device management application program interface (API) are intercepted and converted to device cloud management REST interfaces. The device cloud management REST interfaces to a remote data center of devices, and converted to device native API used to manage a specific device.
