Collaborative incident management for networked computing systems
Information technology environment monitoring systems, for example, perform analytics over machine data received from networked entities. Outputs of such a system may be useful to help a user identify a problem and resolve an incident. Inventive aspects enable user interactions to trigger automatic connection with network servers to establish communication channels for conveying analytics and other information related to the problem between and among network nodes participating in the resolution of the problem or incident.
VIRTUALIZED RACK MANAGEMENT MODULES
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing nodes through virtual rack management modules. A system can have a first rack that includes a first top-of-rack (ToR) switch and a first group of nodes. The first ToR switch can be connected to the first group of nodes. The system can also have a second rack that includes a second ToR switch and a second group of nodes. The second ToR switch can be connected to the second group of nodes, and the second ToR switch can be connected to the first ToR switch. Furthermore, the system can include a rack management node that executes a hypervisor. The hypervisor can run a first virtual rack management module (vRMM) and a second vRMM. The first vRMM and the second vRMM can manage the first group of nodes and the second group of nodes, respectively.
Network controller for multi-site logical network
Some embodiments provide a method for a first network controller executing at a first site of multiple sites spanned by a logical network. Network controllers execute at each site. The method generates logical network state data for the first site based on (i) data received from computing devices that implement the logical network at the first site and (ii) logical network configuration data from a network manager at the first site. The method provides the logical network state data for the first site to a second network controller executing at a second site. The method provides logical network state data received from the second site to the computing devices that implement the logical network at the first site.
Train-information management device and train-information management method
A central device includes an information replacing unit. When the information replacing unit detects, on the basis of contact information acquired from an electric coupler provided in a coupled vehicle in a formation B having a train-information management device that manages vehicle information in accordance with the Ethernet® protocol, that a formation A that includes a train-information management device that manages vehicle information in accordance with the ARCNET protocol is coupled to the formation B, then the information replacing unit replaces vehicle information from the formation A with vehicle information in accordance with the Ethernet® protocol; outputs the replaced vehicle information to the formation B; replaces the vehicle information from the formation B with the vehicle information in accordance with the ARCNET protocol; and outputs the replaced vehicle information to the formation A.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING SERVERS ACROSS PLURALITY OF DATA CENTRES OF AN ENTERPRISE
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for managing the servers across a plurality of data centres of an enterprise. The servers of the plurality of data centres are managed by a server management system. The server management system obtains the server related data and network related data of a plurality of data centres and correlates the obtained server related data with the network related data to determine communication data. The communication data is used for generating a communication matrix which represents a relationship between the servers. Based on the communication matrix, the server management system creates one or more views of the servers to manage the servers of the plurality of data centres.
ASSET DISCOVERY DATA CLASSIFICATION AND RISK EVALUATION
Methods, systems, and devices for asset discovery, user discovery, data classification, risk evaluation, and data/device security are described. The method includes retrieving data stored at one or more remote locations, summarizing the retrieved data at the one or more remote locations, transferring the summarized data from the one or more remote locations to the at least one computing device, processing the transferred data by the at least one computing device, discovering assets in technology environments, classifying data that resides on each asset of the discovered assets into a respective confidentiality group of multiple confidentiality groups, calculating one or more risk scores for the discovered assets or users of the discovered assets, or both, and performing a security action to protect data that resides on an asset of the discovered assets.
OPERATIONS, ADMINISTRATION, AND MANAGEMENT (OAM) FUNCTIONS IN A SOFTWARE DEFINED NETWORK
Communication of a module to a datapath node is disclosed. A controller node receives connection information identifying a first datapath node in communication with a network. The controller node obtains Operations, Administration, and Management (OAM) information including an OAM action set that identifies one or more OAM actions the first datapath node is capable of implementing at the first datapath node. A first OAM tool module is determined that is operative to perform at least one of the one or more OAM actions identified in the OAM action set to implement a first OAM tool function. The first OAM tool module is communicated to the first datapath node.
Centralized enterprise image upgrades for distributed campus networks
System, method, and computer program product to perform an operation, comprising establishing a connection between a primary intermediate branch director (IBD) in a first branch of an enterprise network and a first proxy IBD in a second branch of the enterprise network, receiving, at the primary IBD, network topology information for each of a plurality of intermediate branch clients (IBCs) in the second branch of the enterprise network, and issuing, by the primary IBD to the first proxy IBD, a command to remotely configure at least one IBC of the plurality of IBCs in the second branch of the enterprise network.
System and Method for Providing Management Network Communication and Control in a Data Center
An information handling system includes a host processing complex to instantiate a hosted processing environment, a managed element, and a management controller to manage the managed element out of band from the hosted processing environment. The management controller stores console information from a management console, where the management console directs the management controller to manage the managed element, and the management controller provides the console information to a mobile management device, where the mobile management device directs the management console to direct the management controller to manage the managed element based upon the console information.
DISTRIBUTED NETWORK PLUGIN AGENTS FOR CONTAINER NETWORKING
Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for connecting deployed machines in a set of one or more software-defined datacenters (SDDCs) to a virtual private cloud (VPC) in an availability zone (AZ). The method deploys network plugin agents (e.g. listening agents) on multiple host computers and configures the network plugin agents to receive notifications of events related to the deployment of network elements from a set of compute deployment agents executing on the particular deployed network plugin agent's host computer. The method, in some embodiments, is performed by a network manager that receives notifications from the deployed network plugin agents regarding events relating to the deployed machines and, in response to the received notifications, configures network elements to connect one or more sets of the deployed machines.
