NODE HEALTH PREDICTION BASED ON FAILURE ISSUES EXPERIENCED PRIOR TO DEPLOYMENT IN A CLOUD COMPUTING SYSTEM
To improve the reliability of nodes that are utilized by a cloud computing provider, information about the entire lifecycle of nodes can be collected and used to predict when nodes are likely to experience failures based at least in part on early lifecycle errors. In one aspect, a plurality of failure issues experienced by a plurality of production nodes in a cloud computing system during a pre-production phase can be identified. A subset of the plurality of failure issues can be selected based at least in part on correlation with service outages for the plurality of production nodes during a production phase. A comparison can be performed between the subset of the plurality of failure issues and a set of failure issues experienced by a pre-production node during the pre-production phase. A risk score for the pre-production node can be calculated based at least in part on the comparison.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM FOR STREAMING REAL-TIME DATA FROM A USER DEVICE
A method comprising obtaining a phone number of a mobile device used by a user making an emergency call. The emergency call is conducted with a recipient through a first connection. The method also comprises transmitting a uniform resource locator (URL) to the mobile device through an electronic message. The electronic message is transmitted through a second connection using the phone number. The second connection is different from the first connection. The electronic message allows the user to click on the URL to access a web browser on the mobile device, instead of a full application on the mobile device, to establish a WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) session to transmit a real-time video stream from the mobile device. The URL is associated with the phone number of the mobile device. The method additionally comprises receiving the real-time video stream from the mobile device through the WebRTC session. The method further comprises sending the real-time video stream to the recipient for display on a screen of the recipient. The real-time video stream is associated with a unique identifier for the mobile. Other embodiments are described.

CYBER SECURITY RESTORATION ENGINE
A cyber security restoration engine takes one or more autonomous remediation actions to remediate one or more nodes in a graph of a system being protected back to a trusted operational state in order to assist in a recovery from the cyber threat. The cyber security restoration engine has a tracking component the operational state of each node in the graph of the protected system. The communication module also cooperates with the cyber security restoration engine to communicate with at least one of an external backup system and a recovery service to invoke backup remediation actions and/or recovery remediation actions to remediate one or more nodes potentially compromised by the cyber threat back to a trusted operational state, for example the state before the detected compromise by the cyber threat occurred in the protected system.
Method and system to identify a source of signal impairment
A method and system for managing performance of over a multimedia content distribution network (MCDN), such as a digital subscriber line network, involves receiving an indication of an impairment in network performance from an MCDN client. The MCDN node associated with the client may be identified and a community of MCDN clients coupled to the MCDN node may be further identified. Impairment information, representative of MCDN equipment, may be collected for each of the MCDN clients. Detailed network diagnostics and field service may be performed for MCDN clients based on a characterization of the impairment parameters. After remediation of the MCDN node, collection of the impairment information may be terminated.
Redundant storage gateways
Methods, apparatus, and computer-accessible storage media for providing redundant storage gateways. A client may create a storage gateway group and add storage gateways to the group. The client may assign one or more volumes on a remote data store to each the storage gateways in the group. Volume data for each storage gateway in the group may be replicated to at least one other storage gateway in the group. If one of the gateways in the group becomes unavailable, one or more other gateways in the group may take over volumes previously assigned to the unavailable gateway, using the replicated data in the group to seamlessly resume gateway operations for the respective volumes. Client processes that previously communicated with the unavailable gateway may be manually or automatically directed to the gateway(s) that are taking over the unavailable gateway's volumes.

In addition, the techniques may include determining a diagnostic action based on the root cause, and transmitting, based on the diagnostic action, an engagement notification to a responsible entity.
