Communication Network Performance and Fault Analysis Using Learning Models with Model Interpretation
In an embodiment computer-readable training data records characterizing operation of a communication network may be used to train a machine learning (ML) model of network performance to predict expected performance characteristics, each training data record including operational features and observed performance characteristics of the communication network. The ML model may compute mappings of feature-values pairs to predicted performance characteristics. For a first subset of training data records, a fair distribution of first quantitative contributions of operational features of predicted performance characteristics may be computed, the first subset representing a baseline of observed performance characteristics. For a second subset of training data records, a fair distribution of second respective quantitative contributions of predicted performance characteristics may be computed, the second subset representing a problematic performance characteristic. Comparing the first and second quantitative contributions may determine a degradation metric for associating operational features of the second subset with the problematic performance characteristic.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING PROBLEMATIC PATHS BETWEEN INTEREST POINTS IN A MULTI-CLOUD ENVIRONMENT
In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a problematic event between a first interest point and a second interest point of a network and activating, in response to identifying the problematic event between the first interest point and the second interest point, a first endpoint associated with the first interest point and a second endpoint associated with the second interest point. The method also includes receiving, from the first endpoint and the second endpoint, telemetry data associated with a problematic path between the first interest point and the second interest point. The method further includes determining the problematic path between the first interest point and the second interest point using the telemetry data received from the first endpoint and the second endpoint.
ENRICHED APPLICATION OUTAGE INSIGHTS
In one embodiment, a device obtains test results for tests targeted at a web application, the tests performed by a plurality of agents. The device maps a portion of the test results to a component of the web application based on identifying information within the portion of the test results. The device makes, based on the portion of the test results that are mapped to the component of the web application, a determination that the component of the web application is experiencing an outage. In one embodiment, the device causes, based on the determination that the component of the web application is experiencing the outage, a mitigation action for the outage.

In one embodiment, a device obtains test results for tests targeted at a web application, the tests performed by a plurality of agents. The device maps a portion of the test results to a component of the web application based on identifying information within the portion of the test results. The device makes, based on the portion of the test results that are mapped to the component of the web application, a determination that the component of the web application is experiencing an outage. In one embodiment, the device causes, based on the determination that the component of the web application is experiencing the outage, a mitigation action for the outage.

This application discloses a forwarding entry monitoring method and apparatus, to quickly determine a changed forwarding entry, thereby improving locating efficiency. The method includes: determining, by a first node, a monitored data stream; determining, by the first node, that a stored forwarding entry changes, where the forwarding entry is used to forward the data stream; and sending, by the first node, a first packet to a second node. The second node is located on a transmission path of the data stream, and the second node is a previous-hop node of the first node. The first packet carries a change instruction.
