Method and system for sizing a cloud desktop fabric
A system and method for a virtual desktop system is disclosed. The system includes a master fabric region including resources for provisioning a desktop. The system includes a plurality of expansion fabric regions. Each of the expansion fabric regions including replicated resources for provisioning the desktop from the master fabric region. The system includes a control plane having a global pool. A client device application operated by a user associated with the global pool accesses a desktop from either the master fabric region or one of the expansion fabric regions. The control plane is operable to add a new expansion fabric region to the plurality of expansion fabric regions or eliminate one of the plurality of expansion fabric regions.
Technologies for assigning workloads to balance multiple resource allocation objectives
Technologies for allocating resources of managed nodes to workloads to balance multiple resource allocation objectives include an orchestrator server to receive resource allocation objective data indicative of multiple resource allocation objectives to be satisfied. The orchestrator server is additionally to determine an initial assignment of a set of workloads among the managed nodes and receive telemetry data from the managed nodes. The orchestrator server is further to determine, as a function of the telemetry data and the resource allocation objective data, an adjustment to the assignment of the workloads to increase an achievement of at least one of the resource allocation objectives without decreasing an achievement of another of the resource allocation objectives, and apply the adjustments to the assignments of the workloads among the managed nodes as the workloads are performed. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
System, method, and computer program for determining a network situation in a communication network
A system, method, and computer program product are provided for a determining a network situation in a communication network. In use, at least one threshold value of at least one operational parameter of a communication network is obtained, the at least one operational parameter representing at least one operational status of at least one of a computational device or a communication device. Additionally, log data of the communication network is obtained, the log data containing at least one value of the at least one operational parameter reported by at least one network entity of the communication network. The at least one value of the at least one operational parameter of the log data is compared with a corresponding threshold value of the at least one threshold value to form a detection of a network situation. Further, the detection of the network situation is reported if the at least one value of the at least one operational parameter of the log data traverses the corresponding threshold value of the at least one threshold value.
Virtualized network service management and diagnostics
A device monitors, for a software-defined networking wide area network (SD-WAN) deployment, a set of virtualized network services of the SD-WAN deployment, and applies a set of diagnostic tests to evaluate the set of virtualized network services. The device detects, based on monitoring the set of virtualized network services and in connection with applying the set of diagnostic tests, an event associated with a virtualized network service. The device analyzes, using an analytics model of SD-WAN operation, the event to identify an issue associated with the virtualized network service, and determines, based on the analytics model of SD-WAN operation, a recommendation relating to remediating the issue. The device generates an abstraction layer user interface to represent the set of virtualized network services and to convey the recommendation relating to remediating the issue, and implements, after providing the abstraction layer user interface, the recommendation to remediate the issue.
Communication management apparatus and communication management method
A communication management apparatus suppresses occurrence of a communication anomaly in a cluster by including: an acquisition unit acquiring quantities of traffic of communications performed by one or more communication units operating in each of a plurality of computers constituting a cluster; a prediction unit predicting future quantities of traffic of the communications; an identification unit calculating, for each of the computers, a total of the future quantities of traffic of the communication units operating in the computer and identifying a first computer for which the total exceeds a threshold; and a move control unit controlling, for a communication unit operating in the first computer, move to a second computer.

Interference estimation for resource availability determination
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first wireless communication device may receive, from a second wireless communication device, an announcement associated with a first future communication and that indicates a set of resources associated with the first future communication. The first wireless communication device may communicate using the set of resources based at least in part on a determination that an estimated interference that will result from a second future communication using the set of resources satisfies an interference condition. Numerous other aspects are described.

Method and apparatus for offloading hardware to software package
A method, performed by a server, of executing a software package in a wireless communication system includes: obtaining package usage information for each of a plurality of software packages with respect to user equipment's (UEs) accessing a plurality of base stations (BSs) connected to the server; determining a first hardware component (HC) set, including a plurality of HCs, for processing tasks operating in a first software package from among the plurality of software packages, based on the package usage information including a use for each of the plurality of HCs included in the first HC set and a respective usage amount for the plurality of HCs; generating a second software package that is allocated to the first HC set; migrating the tasks operating in the first software package to the second software package; and deleting the first software package.
Root-cause analysis of event occurrences
Provided herein are systems and methods for determining relationships between events occurring in networks. Notifications describing events occurring in networks can be received and processed to determine groups of network event types. A root-cause network can be generated based on the events, with the nodes of the root-cause network representing different event types and the edges of the root-cause network indicating directional, causal relationships between the nodes. A received network event can be processed to determine potential causes of the received network event based on the root-cause network and other events received by the network.
