Methods and systems for network device name management
Embodiments of a device and method are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method of network device name management involves at a cloud server, determining a device name of a network device to be deployed at a customer site based on site survey result information of the customer site, at the cloud server, receiving network device information of the network device after the network device is deployed at the customer site, and at the cloud server, associating the device name of the network device with the network device information of the network device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING NETWORK CONNECTED DEVICES
A system for managing network connected devices, comprising at least one hardware processor adapted to produce a plurality of unique device descriptors, each describing one of a plurality of network connected devices, by: for each of a plurality of device descriptors, each having a plurality of supported actions, and one or more domain device identifiers, each identifier associating the device descriptor with one of a plurality of management domains: for each of the plurality of management domains not associated with the device descriptor: instructing execution on a network connected device described by the device descriptor a domain identification query according to the descriptor's plurality of supported actions, to determine a new domain device identifier; identifying in the plurality of device descriptors a second device descriptor having a domain device identifier equal to the new domain device identifier; and merging the device descriptor with the second device descriptor.
Systems and methods for providing secure access to shared registration systems
Embodiments relate to systems, devices, and computer-implemented methods for providing secure access to a shared registration system of a domain name registry by generating authorization information associated with a domain name, storing the authorization information in an archive, receiving, from a non-registrar service provider, a request for access to functionality of a shared registration system of the domain name registry, where the request is associated with the domain name and includes authorization information, determining whether the received authorization information is valid using the archived authorization information, and allowing the non-registrar service provider access to the functionality of the SRS based on a determination that the second authorization information is valid.
CLIENT DEVICE BASED SOLUTION FOR HANDLING MAC RANDOMIZATION
A system and method are provided for a network device for use with a client device having a hostname and a MAC address. The network device contains a memory that has a second hostname and a second MAC address stored within the memory. The second MAC address corresponds to the second hostname. The memory also contains a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the network device to: receive, from the client device, the hostname and the MAC address; determine whether the MAC address is randomized; provide an instruction to the client device to inform a user of the client device that the client device hostname is registered when the hostname matches the second hostname and the MAC address is randomized.

Method of performing smart hybrid acceleration on resources, device, medium and apparatus
A smart hybrid acceleration method includes receiving a handshake request from a client terminal, and determining whether the handshake request contains a self-defined resource extension field. If not, a target domain name with which the client terminal is to connect is acquired from the handshake request, and whether to use a hardware acceleration or a software acceleration is determined according to a level of the target domain name. If so, a resource level of a resource accessed by the client terminal is determined according to content in the self-defined resource extension field, and whether to use the hardware acceleration or the software acceleration is determined according to the resource level.
Systems and methods for external detection of misconfigured systems
A computer-implemented method is provided for external detection of a vulnerable system coupled to a communication network. The method can include measuring communication traffic on the communication network to identify one or more domain names, which in turn can originate from server systems in the communication network. The method can further include identifying the domain names based on metadata from the domain names and/or the measured communication traffic, where each domain name has an associated property indicative of its vulnerability. The method can further include determining whether any one (or more) of the domain names is registered at a domain name registry and, if the domain name is not registered, registering the domain name.
EDGE CACHING OF HTTPS CONTENT VIA CERTIFICATE DELEGATION
Mechanisms may be used for edge caching Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) content via an owner-endorsed proxy. The edge servers of a mobile-content distribution network (CDN) may work as the proxy that dynamically gets the means to serve HTTPS content through rights delegated by content owners. Mechanisms may include dynamically assigning a domain with a Canonical name (CNAME) record in DNS based on the popularity of the domain at an edge server. Each edge server from the plurality of edge servers may be associated with a mobile content distribution (mobile-CDN) network, via the mobile-CDN, the right to establish a transport layer security (TLS) session is delegated to the edge server on behalf of the content owner, so that the HTTPS request to the content server may be served by the edge server. A mechanism to restrict the scope of HTTPS content served through the delegated right is presented as well.

Deep neural network generation of domain names
Techniques for generating internet domain name suggestions using machine learning are presented. Some techniques include obtaining sets of domain names, each set of domain names including domain names that concern a selected topic, training machine learning algorithms, such that trained language models are produced, each trained language model concerning a different selected topic, obtaining a seed domain name, identifying a primary topic that the seed domain name concerns, applying to the seed domain name a trained language model of the trained language models that concerns the primary topic, such that a primary proposed domain name is produced, where the primary proposed domain name concerns the primary topic and includes the seed domain name and at least one of a prefix or a suffix, and offering to register the primary proposed domain name.
