SUPPLEMENTAL AUDIO CONTENT FOR GROUP COMMUNICATIONS
20200120365 · 2020-04-16 ·

Systems, methods, software and apparatus enable providing supplemental audio content to members of a communication group via a group communication service that manages the multiple member user nodes' transmission and receipt of communications between and among the member user nodes. A request for audio content (e.g., from the communication group or a member user node) causes the group communication service to launch a bot node member to locate and deliver the requested audio content. The audio content can be merged with user node communications (e.g., as transmission packets or as streaming audio content). In some implementations each user node includes a wearable push-to-talk end user device linked to a communication device executing a communication application connected to the group communication service.

Voice communication system, relaying device, terminal device, session management method and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium

[Problem] To enable priority communication using a terminal device by setting a particular mode in the terminal device by user operation and thereby increasing a priority of the terminal device. [Solution] A server as a relay device, in forming a new session, compares the priority of an existing session with the priority of the new session, and, if the priority of the new session is higher than the priority of the existing session, removes a competing terminal device participating in the existing session from the existing session and makes the competing terminal device participate in the new session. Further, upon reception of a specific calling voice signal specifying the terminal device participating in the existing session as a communication partner from the terminal device set to a particular mode, the relaying device removes the terminal device participating in the existing session from the existing session and makes the terminal device participate in a session to be formed by the specific calling voice signal regardless of the priority of the session.

Initiate call to present one or more types of applications and media up-to end of call

A computer-implemented communication channel, server, methods, systems, device, apparatus, platform, application & service are disclosed for receiving by a server from a first user, a selection of a second user from a contact list, a request for initiating a call and a selection of one or more types of one or more applications, interfaces and media. In the event the second user accepts an initiated call within pre-set duration, start communication session and presenting said selected one or more applications, interfaces, media to first user and/or second user. Enabling the first user and/or the second user in real-time to access said presented application or interface or media and receiving by the server, a termination indication from the first user or the second user, the termination indication indicating the ending of the call and based on the termination indication, terminate the call or terminate said communication session.

Providing data service options using voice recognition

Initiation of a search query is accomplished by voice direction, rather than by reading choices and texting or clicking through options. A mobile phone includes a dedicated voice query service button for generating a signal for initiating a voice enabled service session, a speaker and microphone for transducing sounds and electrical signals, a display for displaying visual information to a user, memory for storing data, a transceiver for receiving and transmitting data and a processor. The processor receives a signal generated by the service button for initiating a voice enabled service session, communicates a prompt to a user to begin speaking, stores voice data from a user and transmits the stored voice data to a server for transforming the voice data to a result satisfying the spoken voice service request.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SIGNAL AND DATA ROUTING
20200106814 · 2020-04-02 ·

A system for signal or data routing is provided. The system has a client side graphical user interface GUI in communication with target side GUI over the network, wherein the client side GUI represents a first user and the target side GUI represents an organizational user, a focus server communicatively coupled to the client side GUI and the target side GUI, wherein the focus server is configured to create a conference session between the client side GUI and the target side GUI, a routing server comprising various routing logic, configured to direct the focus server to invite the organizational user to join the conference session at the target side GUI and a data management server coupled to the routing server. A method for signal or data routing is also provided.

DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING BETWEEN DEVICES USING TWO PROTOCOLS
20200099789 · 2020-03-26 ·

A device, system and method for communicating between devices using two protocols is provided. A request is received from a first device to communicate with a second device. A dedicated client operates according to a first protocol. A call server is operated according to a second protocol. An identifier is provided to the second device for requesting a web application for conducting a call via the call server, the identifier associated with the first and second device. A request, including the identifier is received and the web application is provided to the second device. A first call is set up between the dedicated client and a respective dedicated client. A second call is set up between the call server and the web application at the second device. The first call and the second call are connected to conduct an end-to-end call between the first and second device.

Method for applying for media transmission permission, and method and apparatus for canceling media transmission permission
10602569 · 2020-03-24 · ·

A method for applying for media transmission permission, and a method and an apparatus for canceling media transmission permission are provided. The method for applying for media transmission permission includes: determining, by a first terminal, that a second terminal needs to transmit media data; and sending, by the first terminal, media transmission permission request indication information to a mission critical service (MCS) server, where the media transmission permission request indication information is used to instruct the MCS server to grant media transmission permission to the second terminal.

LAND MOBILE RADIO DISPATCH CONSOLE

An exemplary land mobile radio dispatch console and method are provided. In one embodiment, the console has the capability to process and handle Requests To Talk (RTT) and emergencies. In another embodiment, the console has the capability to provide a history. In another embodiment, the console provides the capability for operators to configure and save patches of predefined groups for later use. In another embodiment, the console includes a telephone interconnect interface component, and combinations of features mentioned above.

Method and apparatus for performing application specific access control in wireless communication system

A method and apparatus for performing application specific access control in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives access control related system information from a network, identifies initiation of a specific application, and determines whether or not access attempt for the specific application is allowed, based on the received access control related system information. Accordingly, the UE may determine whether or not to skip access control barring (ACB) check for the specific application, or whether or not to skip random access backoff for the specific application.

Minimizing work disruption when integrating IP communication systems with push-to-talk systems

One or more Push-To-Talk (PTT) processing devices of an Internet Protocol (IP) communication system receive an indication that a telephone call has been parked in the IP communication system. The one or more PTT processing devices determine the location of one or more PTT users of the IP communication system. The one or more PTT processing devices generate a first PTT channel based upon location of the one or more PTT users. The first PTT channel includes a first subset of the one or more PTT users. The one or more PTT processing devices transmit a first PTT audio notification that the telephone call is parked in the IP communication system to the first PTT channel.
