Floor control method and apparatus
An embodiment floor control method includes receiving, by a mission-critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) server over an Long Term Evolution network, a first message sent by a user equipment (UE), where the first message includes an identifier of a group to which a talker corresponding to the UE belongs and a parameter indicating that an event type is a floor request, generating, by the MCPTT server, a second message according to the floor control policy and the first message, and sending the second message to the UE. The method includes receiving a response message of the second message sent by the UE, generating a first instruction message according to the response message of the second message, where the first instruction message is used to instruct a media resource function entity to perform uplink voice switching on a media plane, and sending the first instruction message to the media resource function entity.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VIRTUAL INTERACTIONS
Systems and methods for virtual interactions are described. One or more users can view or listen to media, react to the media and share such media experience virtually with others. The media experience can take place synchronously, asynchronously or both.
Data exchange sessions using groups of terminals of a first user and at least one terminal of a second user
A method, device, program, server and terminal are provided for monitoring a data-exchange session between first terminals belonging to a first user and at least one second terminal belonging to a second user. The method includes, after the first user receives an invitation to establish a session, creating a first group of the first terminals belonging to the first user suitable for enabling the session to be established with the first group.
Group communication in communication system
In a communication system providing a group communication service and advertisement of an existing and newly created group, information on usable media types in the group is sent to group members in a message advertising the group. The message contains either a new field for the information or an existing field is extended to contain the information.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS TO SHARE FUNCTIONAL ALIAS IN MISSION CRITICAL VIDEO
A method for managing a Mission Critical Video (MCVideo) group call is provided. The method includes transmitting by at least one sender user equipment (UE) in the MCVideo group call, a MCVideo message to an MCVideo Server, receiving, by at least one receiver UE in the MCVideo group call, the MCVideo message from the MCVideo server, wherein at least one of a plurality of functional alias identification (ID) is encoded and included in the MCVideo message, and decoding, by the at least one receiver UE in the MCVideo group call, the at least one of the plurality of functional alias ID from the MCVideo message.
METHOD AND TERMINAL FOR PROVIDING MCPTT SERVICE
A method and an apparatus for providing a mission critical service are provided. The method includes transmitting, by the first terminal, a first discovery announcement message to plurality of terminals performing device to device (D2D) communication according to the mission critical service, wherein the discovery announcement message includes at least one of a category of the first terminal, video performance of a camera provided in the first terminal, and information about a status of the first terminal; receiving a second discovery announcement message from a second terminal included among the plurality of terminals performing the D2D communication; and acquiring information about a presence and a capability of the second terminal based on the second discovery announcement message.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PUSH-TO-TALK (PTT) IN HIGH LATENCY NETWORKS
In an embodiment, a method includes: accessing, by a push to talk (PTT) server, a PTT session with a PTT client operating in a first network; detecting, by the PTT server, a transition by the PTT client from the first network to a second network, the second network having a lower throughput or a higher latency than the first network; and adapting, by the PTT server, one or more parameters of a plurality of communication protocols in response to detecting the transition by the PTT client from the first network to the second network, the communication protocols being host layer protocols used by the PTT server to communicate with the PTT client.
Land mobile radio dispatch console
An exemplary land mobile radio dispatch console and method are provided. In one embodiment, the console has the capability to process and handle Requests To Talk (RTT) and emergencies. In another embodiment, the console has the capability to provide a history. In another embodiment, the console provides the capability for operators to configure and save patches of predefined groups for later use. In another embodiment, the console includes a telephone interconnect interface component, and combinations of features mentioned above.
SPATIAL INFORMATION DELIVERY SYSTEM, SPATIAL INFORMATION DELIVERY METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A spatial information delivery system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a partial spatial information generation device, and a plurality of partial spatial information transmission devices existing within a facility. The partial spatial information generation device generates partial spatial information which is part of spatial information relating to the facility and which is specific to each of the partial spatial information transmission devices, for each of the partial spatial information transmission devices based on locations of the partial spatial information transmission devices. Each of the partial spatial information transmission devices transmits the partial spatial information corresponding to the own partial spatial information transmission device.
System, Method, and Apparatus for Floor Control During Push To Talk
There is disclosed herein systems, methods, and apparatuses for floor control in a push to talk communication session. According to certain embodiments, a method for floor control comprises, prior to transmitting a first message to one or more wireless devices (.sub.110a), determining, at a first wireless device (.sub.110), a priority of the first message. The method also comprises determining, at the first wireless device (.sub.110), whether a floor is available for transmitting the first message based on the determined priority of the first message. The method additionally includes, upon the floor being available, transmitting the first message from the first wireless device (.sub.110) to the one or more wireless devices (.sub.110a). The method additionally includes transmitting the first message (260) from the first wireless device (110) without the first wireless device (110) first requesting the floor from a remote floor controller.
