One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for evaluating connections between nodes in a mesh network. The technique includes identifying a plurality of potential parent nodes for a first node included in the mesh network; computing, for each potential parent node, one or more accumulated message success rates associated with transmitting messages from the first node to a target destination within the mesh network via the potential parent node and with receiving messages from the target destination via the potential parent node; and selecting, from the plurality of potential parent nodes and based on the accumulated message success rates, a parent node for the first node.

An example operation includes one or more of saving a hash of data including occupant data and transport data on a transport in response to the transport is started, performing a security check that validates the hash of data against the data in response to the transport is started, and providing a resolution when the security check fails.

A method and system for transmission management of Internet of Things (IoT) device data. A method includes receiving polling data from the one or more devices available in the network based at least in part on one or more adaptable device configuration templates stored in a template library, and determining a number of active devices available in the network and data provided by the active devices based on the received polling data and the corresponding adaptable device configuration template. A method includes generating one or more configurable data packets for transmission over the communication channel to the IoT platform, identifying variations in device configurations by comparing the one or more adaptable device configuration templates stored in the template library with the received polling data, and modifying the corresponding adaptable device configuration template based on the identified variations.
