Attention commands enhancement
A method of performing a packet domain event report by a mobile termination (MT) of a user equipment (UE) to a terminal equipment (TE) of the UE; and the UE therefore are discussed. The method according to one embodiment includes receiving, by the MT from the TE, a context activation request for a first packet data protocol (PDP) type; attempting, by the MT, a context activation with the first PDP type; receiving, by the MT from a network, a second PDP type assigned by the network for the context activation instead of the first PDP type; and sending, by the MT to the TE, an event message including a reason parameter indicating why the context activation request for the first PDP type is not granted.
Method, device, and system for acquiring internet protocol address
A method for acquiring an Internet Protocol (IP) address is provided that pertains to the communications field. The method includes detecting Packet Data Protocol (PDP) connection information between a mobile broadband device and a network side; acquiring identification information if it is detected that the PDP connection information between the mobile broadband device and the network side changes, where the identification information is used to identify the PDP connection information between the mobile broadband device and the network side; and sending the identification information to a host, so that the host acquires an IP address of the host according to the identification information. In the present invention, the mobile broadband device sends the identification information to the host, so that the host sets, according to the identification information, a value of a state identifier included in the host.
Electronic device, network relay device, and non-transitory computer readable storage medium
An electronic device that relays an Internet Protocol (IP) packet compliant with one of a plurality of IP versions includes circuitry configured to process the IP packet in each of a first mode operating as a router and a second mode operating as a bridge; and set, as a mode of the electronic device, one of the first mode or the second mode, based on which of the plurality of IP versions the IP packet to be processed is compliant with.
Electronic device, network relay device, and non-transitory computer readable storage medium
An electronic device that relays an IPv4 packet includes circuitry configured to process the IPv4 packet in each of a first mode operating as a router and a second mode operating as a bridge, set one of the first mode and the second mode as a mode of the electronic device, terminate an IPv4 over IPv6 tunnel, and perform a communication test through the IPv4 over IPv6 tunnel with respect to another electronic device, and the another electronic device is connected with the electronic device via the IPv4 over IPv6 tunnel and terminates the IPv4 over IPv6 tunnel, and set the first mode as the mode, when a result of the communication test shows that communication is available.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSLATION BETWEEN IPV4 AND IPV6
A method for the translation between IPv4 and IPv6 is disclosed, including: a BIH link tracker and quick translator are provided in a network core and when a link is established between an IPv4 client and IPv6 server, a standard translator translates and sends to the IPv6 server, a packet sent from the IPv4 client to the IPv6 server, and the
BIH link tracker extracts and records information on link and translation of the IPv4 client and IPv6 server from the packet for interaction therebetween; and during a process of sending the packet after establishing the link between the IPv4 client and IPv6 server, the packet is sent to the quick translator which translates and sends the packet according to the information on the translation corresponding to the information on the link recorded by the BIH link tracker. A device for the translation between IPv4 and IPv6 is also disclosed.
Managing communications for modified computer networks
Techniques are described for managing communications between multiple computing nodes, such as computing nodes that are part of a virtual computer network. In some situations, various types of modifications may be made to one or more computing nodes of an existing virtual computer network, and the described techniques include managing ongoing communications for those computing nodes so as to accommodate the modifications. Such modifications may include, for example, migrating or otherwise moving a particular computing node that is part of a virtual network to a new physical network location, or modifying other aspects of how the computing node participates in the virtual network (e.g., changing one or more virtual network addresses used by the computing node). In some situations, the computing nodes may include virtual machine nodes hosted on one or more physical computing machines or systems, such as by or on behalf of one or more users.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTENT SERVER RENDEZVOUS IN A DUAL STACK PROTOCOL NETWORK
Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for serving content over a network. In one implementation, a method of serving content is provided. The method includes maintaining a first address record associated with serving a resource and a second address record associated with serving the same resource. The first address record is further associated with a first protocol for a first device capable of serving the resource. Similarly, the second address record is associated with a second protocol, different from the first protocol, for a second device, distinct from the first device, capable of serving the resource. The method further includes providing, in response to at least one resolution request for the resource, the first address record and the second address record.
IPV4 COMMUNICATIONS USING 6LOWPAN HEADER COMPRESSION MECHANISMS
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for communications. In one aspect there is provided a method. The method may include sending, by a gateway, an advertisement including an internet protocol version 6 over low power wireless personal area network context option carrying a well-known prefix, the well-known prefix indicating to a node that the gateway provides an uplink in accordance with internet protocol version 4; and receiving, at the gateway, a first packet received via the wireless network in accordance with internet protocol version 6, the first packet including a destination address in accordance with internet protocol version 4. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.
Method and apparatus for establishing user plane bearer
A method and an apparatus for establishing a user plane bearer are provided. The method includes receiving a transport layer address supported by a serving gateway (SGW)/packet gateway (PGW) from a mobile management entity (MME), selecting, by a radio access network (RAN) entity, directly the appropriate transport layer address to establish the user plane bearer, or after receiving the transport layer address transmitted by the SGW/PGW, selecting, by the MME, the appropriate transport layer address to establish the user plane bearer, or reporting, by the MME, the obtained transport layer address used by the access entity to the SGW/PGW to establish the user plane bearer.
Management of network configuration and address provisioning
Provided are systems and methods for network management and configuration, Exemplary methods can comprise communicating a first message to a network device. The first message can specify one of a first protocol or a second protocol. Methods can comprise configuring a first logical address for the network device based at least on the first message. Methods can comprise communicating a second message to the network device. The second message can specify one of a first mode, directing the network device to use the first protocol to connect to a network, or a second mode, directing the network device to use the second protocol to connect to the network.
