Media streaming system supporting several streaming engines and using content addressing
A method of streaming media content over a network from a media cache node is described. The method includes receiving a request for a media content item from a client device, the request comprising an address identifying a media content item to be streamed. In response to the request, a streaming engine process is allocated to the media content item for fulfilling the request. Based on the address identifying the media content item, a location comprising a media cache node able to provide the media content item is determined and the media content item is streamed to the client device using the streaming engine process allocated to the media content item. Further methods of streaming a media content item and providing access to media content are also described.
REGISTRATION OF MULTI-PORT DEVICE
Systems, apparatuses, methods, and one or more computer-readable media storing executable instructions for registering a multi-port device are described. A computing device may receive a registration request from a user device supporting multiple ports. In response, the computing device may send to the user device a message including a plurality of telephone numbers and information of associated ports.
Discovery-less virtual addressing in software defined networks
A virtual address of a destination of a packet is parsed into a set of virtual address components. A subset of the set of virtual address components is tokenized into a token. The token is converted into at least a portion of a hostname. A look-up of a real network address corresponding to the hostname is performed. The packet is caused to be transmitted to the real network address, wherein the real network address corresponds to a host machine on a physical network, the receiving virtual entity operating on the host machine.
System, method, and apparatus for providing help
A system for providing help includes a preprogrammed kit that includes at least one digital assistant and a virtual private network repeater for connecting to a data provider for connecting the digital assistant to a server. A plurality of agent computers is connected to the server by a data network. The digital assistant is preprogrammed with a skill for recognizing a preprogrammed specific utterance and the digital assistant is pre-configured to connect with the virtual private network repeater. After the preprogrammed specific utterance is detected by the digital assistant, the digital assistant initiates a request for help to the server and upon receiving the request for the help, the server assigns one of the agent computers and forwards the request for help to the one of the agent computers.
Proxy Auto-Configuration For Directing Client Traffic To A Cloud Proxy With Cloud-Based Unique Identifier Assignment
Among other things, this document describes systems, methods and devices for providing a cloud proxy auto-config (PAC) function for clients connected to a private network, such as an enterprise network. The teachings hereof are of particular use with cloud hosted proxy services provided by server deployments outside of the private network (e.g., external to the enterprise or other organizational network). This document also describes systems, methods and devices for providing a proxy auto-contig (PAC) function for clients connected to a third party network, such as when the client moves outside of the enterprise network.
NETWORK ACCESS CONTROL METHOD AND DEVICE
This application provides a network access control method. Before a second device accesses a target to-be-accessed device in an internal network, authentication is first performed on the second device by using a local domain name carried in a domain name request packet. Only when the local domain name is authenticated, an IP address of the second device and an IP address of the target device to be accessed by the second device are recorded in forwarding information. Therefore, when a data request packet is received, it may be determined, based on a source IP address, a destination IP address, and the forwarding information that are carried in the data request packet, whether to forward the data request packet.
VIRTUAL NETWORK INTERFACE OBJECTS
Methods and apparatus for interfaces to manage virtual network interface objects. A system may include resource instances and a network interface virtualization coordinator. Responsive to a record creation request, the coordinator creates an interface records that may include an IP address, subnet information and security properties. The coordinator may, in response to a request to attach the record to a resource instance, enable traffic directed to the IP address to flow to the resource instance. In response to a subsequent detach request, the traffic to the IP address may be disabled at the resource instance. The same interface record may be attached to another resource instance in response to another attach request, enabling traffic directed to the IP address to flow to the second resource instance.
IMS emergency calls for roaming UEs
A method in a proxy call session control function, P-CSCF, of handling an unauthenticated emergency call originating from a roaming user equipment, UE, which is not attached to the P-CSCF. The P-CSCF receives a SIP INVITE request from the UE, the INVITE request relating to the unauthenticated emergency call, and determines an IP address of the UE. The P-CSCF sends an identity query to a policy and charging rules function, PCRF, indicating the IP address of the UE and requesting other identifiers of the UE, and receives one or more other identifiers of the UE from the PCRF. The P-CSCF constructs a TEL and/or SIP uniform resource identifier, URI, for the UE on the basis of at least one of said other identifiers, inserts the URI into the SIP INVITE request, and sends the SIP INVITE request to a public safety answering point, PSAP. Also provided are corresponding methods in other nodes and for authenticated emergency calls, and apparatus for implementing the methods.
Centralized Validation of Email Senders Via EHLO Name and IP Address Targeting
A DNS server receives from a receiving email system, a DNS query for an email domain stored at the DNS server, the DNS query including identifying information of a sender of an email. The DNS server extracts the identifying information of the email sender from the DNS query and identifies one of a plurality of delivering organizations from the information. The DNS server determines whether the identified delivering organization is authorized to deliver email on behalf of the email domain. In response to determining that the identified delivering organization is authorized to deliver email on behalf of the email domain, the DNS server generates a target validation record based on the identity of the authorized delivering organization and the email domain, the target validation record including one or more rules indicating to the receiving email system whether the delivering organization is an authorized sender of email for the email domain.
Method and apparatus for communications between carriers
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, responsive to determining that a second device is associated with a first carrier network, obtaining a first record associated with a called number of the second device from a first carrier network telephone number mapping equipment server of the first carrier network, and transmitting a first internet protocol address for the second device from the first record to a terminating call session control function server of the first carrier network to initiate the internet protocol call session. Responsive to a second determination that the second device is associated with a second carrier network, obtaining a second record associated with the called number according to a pointer to a second carrier network telephone number mapping equipment server of the second carrier network, and transmitting a second internet protocol address for the second device derived from the second record to a session border controller of the first carrier network to initiate the internet protocol call session. Other embodiments are disclosed.
