Handling of a packet switched emergency call within a telecommunications network and/or enhanced handling of local emergency service information by a user equipment
A telecommunications network comprises an access network and a core network. The access network is a packet switched oriented access network. A user equipment comprises or is able to access the local emergency service information. The local emergency service information is provisioned or provided to the user equipment by the telecommunications network or by another telecommunications network. A packet switched emergency call is initiated, by the user equipment, while the user equipment is connected to the telecommunications network, and an emergency uniform resource name is transmitted, by the user equipment, to a network node of the telecommunications network. The emergency uniform resource name comprises: country and/or network information; and emergency type information and/or emergency call telephone number information. The packet switched emergency call is transferred or routed to a public safety answering point. The public safety answering point is chosen based on the transmitted emergency uniform resource name.
System and method for accessing multimedia content
Devices, systems, and methods are described herein that comprise a multi-screen application which allows users to establish communication sessions with other users of the multi-screen application as well as allowing the user to request multimedia content using the same multi-screen application interface. The user makes a connection request to establish a multimedia session by entering a name or phone number. The multi-screen application uses a request string from the connection request to search a user's contact directory in order to determine possible user connection identifiers associated with the request string. The multi-screen application may additionally or alternatively transmit the request string to a directory server maintained by a service provider. The directory server may provide an endpoint for retrieving multimedia content associated with the string. The multi-media application may be used to allow a user to ‘call’ multimedia content using the same user interface used for calling another user.
Methods, systems, and devices for managing client devices using a virtual anchor manager
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a process that continuously connects the processing system to a control plane of a wireless communication network, which includes equipment operating in at least one of the control plane or a user plane. Control information is received across the control plane indicating that client data is to be provided to a client device via the user plane. Responsive to receiving a control signal, an awake signal is sent to the client device. The client device, in response to the awake signal, being placed from an idle state to an active state. The idle state consumes a lower level of power than the active state. The client data is further provided to the client device over a premises communication network via a protocol stack of a client function. Other embodiments are disclosed.
HIGHLY-AVAILABLE DISTRIBUTED NETWORK ADDRESS TRANSLATION (NAT) ARCHITECTURE WITH FAILOVER SOLUTIONS
This disclosure describes techniques for providing a distributed scalable architecture for Network Address Translation (NAT) systems with high availability and mitigations for flow breakage during failover events. The NAT servers may include functionality to serve as fast-path servers and/or slow-path servers. A fast-path server may include a NAT worker that includes a cache of NAT mappings to perform stateful network address translation and to forward packets with minimal latency. A slow-path server may include a mapping server that creates new NAT mappings, depreciates old ones, and answers NAT worker state requests. The NAT system may use virtual mapping servers (VMSs) running on primary physical servers with state duplicated VMSs on different physical failover servers. Additionally, the NAT servers may implement failover solutions for dynamically allocated routeable address/port pairs assigned to new sessions by assigning new outbound address/port pairs when a session starts and broadcasting pairing information.
Secure domain name system to support a private communication service
Described herein are systems, methods, and software to enhance secure communications between computing systems. In one implementation, a private domain name system (DNS) receives a DNS lookup request from a computing system of a plurality of computing systems associated with a private communication group, and forwards the DNS lookup request to a public DNS. The private DNS further receives a public address associated with the DNS lookup request from the public DNS, translates the public address to a private address, and transfers the private address to the requesting computing system.
Identifying mobile aliases
A system and method according to the principles of the invention identifies mobile phone aliases. The system processes mobile location data and call event data to generate mobility profiles. The profiles indicate a mobile's geographic zone history over a specified time. To produce a mobility profile, the system aggregates location data into zones and associates the zones with times of day, week or month. Particular zones for different mobiles can be compared according to weighting algorithms to provide data indicating whether the mobiles belong to the same user.
Practice emergency call system
An emergency call practice application can execute on user equipment (UE) to allow users to practice dialing 9-1-1 or other emergency numbers. In a network practice mode, the emergency call practice application can initiate a practice emergency call by sending a call setup message to an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The IMS can route the call setup message to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) routing server, which can recognize a destination identifier in the call setup message as being associated with a test server instead of a PSAP. The PSAP routing server can forward the call setup message to the test server to connect the practice emergency call.

Adaptable management of web application state in a micro-service architecture
A method for controlling a web application state in a micro-service architecture may be provided. The method loading a current state of the web application via a server-side state micro-service from a server state store upon a navigation to a website relating to a server-side micro-service of the web application. The method also comprises triggering a state change of the web application by a user interface control of the client user interface component, transmitting the changed state from the server-side micro-service of the web application to the server-side state micro-service, managing the changed state by the server-side state micro-service together with a state identifier in a server state store, transmitting the changed state and the state identifier from the server-side state micro-service to the state client, and notifying the client user interface component about the changed state.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO GENERATE AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT DATA FROM POPULATION SAMPLE DATA HAVING INCOMPLETE DEMOGRAPHIC CLASSIFICATIONS
Methods and apparatus to generate audience measurement data from population sample data having incomplete demographic classifications are disclosed. An example method includes detecting that a number of impressions a time segment of a video occurred based on messages; detecting that no impressions for the time segment of the video were detected by the database proprietor; determining respective percentages of exposures of the video that are attributable to corresponding ones of multiple demographic groups, determining the respective percentages being based on the first demographic information provided by the database proprietor for exposures of other time segments of the video; attributing respective portions of the number of impressions to the demographic groups based on the respective percentages to determine imputed numbers of impressions; generating adjusted numbers of impressions based on the imputed numbers of impressions; and determining ratings information for the video using the adjusted numbers of impressions.
