Relay apparatus, relay system, and relay method
Upon receipt of a packet addressed to a virtual IP address assigned to each first device from a second device outside a base network, a processor identifies a base relay apparatus that accommodates the first device, to which the virtual IP address is assigned, on the basis of the virtual address and a protocol type of the received packet, and also identifies a reception port number of the identified base relay apparatus, which corresponds to a combination of the virtual IP address and the protocol type of the received packet, from among reception port numbers each assigned to a combination of the first device accommodated to identify a transfer destination, and a protocol type. Then, the processor relays the received packet to the identified reception port number of the identified base relay apparatus.
Domain name request multiplication for multipath-access
A method for domain name resolution includes: requesting, by an access device, via a resolving request, an IP address based on a present domain name or a domain name based on a present IP address, wherein the access device is configured to have multipath access to a data network via at least two access paths; generating, by the access device, an initial domain name query based on the resolving request; duplicating, by the access device, the initial domain name query into at least two multiplied domain name queries; sending, by the access device, each of the at least two multiplied domain name queries to a respective name server; and receiving, by the access device, a domain name response comprising the requested IP address or the requested domain name from each respective name server.
DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM SERVER DETERMINING METHOD, AND REQUEST PROCESSING METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
Embodiments of this application disclose a domain name system server determining method, and a request processing method, apparatus, and system. An embodiment of this application provides a domain name system server determining method, including: A session management function network element determines an address of a first domain name system server based on a first location of user equipment, where the first domain name system server is a local domain name system server that resolves a domain name of a first application into a corresponding first Internet protocol address, which is associated with the first location; and the session management function network element sends the address of the first domain name system server to a first device.
Content node selection based on classless prefix
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and software that announce prefixes associated content nodes of a content delivery network are provided herein. In one example, a method of operating a communication system comprising Internet service providers configured to exchange content requests between end user devices and content nodes is presented. The method includes assigning a content node of the content delivery network a first Internet Protocol (IP) address having an associated first short prefix and a first long prefix, and assigning the content node a second IP address having an associated second short prefix and a second long prefix. The method also includes announcing the first short prefix and the first long prefix to a first Internet service provider communicatively coupled to the content node, and announcing the second short prefix and the second long prefix to a second Internet service provider communicatively coupled to the content node.
MULTIPLE NETWORK INTERFACE DNS QUERY ROUTING
A method may include obtaining Domain Name System (DNS) configuration policies, that indicate how to direct a DNS query based on various Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs). The method may include obtaining a DNS query request on a first interface adapter in which the DNS query request is obtained from a DNS client and directed toward a particular FQDN. The method may include determining whether the particular FQDN included with the DNS query request is included in the DNS configuration policies and directing the DNS query request to an alternative DNS destination responsive to determining that the particular FQDN is not included in the DNS configuration policies. The method may include generating, at the alternative DNS destination, a DNS response that includes an error code, injecting the DNS response into a Transport Control Protocol (TCP)/IP stack, and sending the DNS response to the DNS client.
Multi-link terminal, method for allocating an address for a multi-link terminal, network access device and medium
The application discloses a multi-link terminal, a method for allocating an address for the multi-link terminal, a network access device and a medium. The method for allocating the address for the multi-link terminal includes following steps: sending, by a logical entity affiliated with the multi-link terminal, an association request message to a network access device, wherein the association request message includes a MAC address of the multi-link terminal; and receiving, by the logical entity, an association response message sent by the network access device, wherein the association response message includes addresses and association identifiers allocated by the network access device for logical entities affiliated with the multi-link terminal, and the addresses for the logical entities include respective link information bits.
Session management method based on reallocation of PDU session anchor device, and device performing the session management method
Disclosed is a session management method based on protocol data unit (PDU) session anchor (PSA) relocation, and an device performing the session management method. The session management method may include determining to perform PSA relocation, establishing a new additional PSA device through the PSA relocation, and releasing an existing additional PSA device, in which the PSA relocation may allow traffic moving towards the existing additional PSA device to move to the new additional PSA device.
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for supporting multi-homed connections
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for supporting multi-homed (MH) connections are disclosed. According to one method, the method comprises: determining that an MH connection is enabled; identifying a local initiate port associated with the MH connection; using the local initiate port to configure connection rules to allow traffic associated with a plurality of paths associated with the MH connection; and using the connection rules to process traffic received over the MH connection.
Method and device for downloading audiovisual content
A method and a device for downloading an audiovisual content from a data network. A description file describing the sub-dividing of the audiovisual content into a set of segments includes at least two pieces of information representative of respectively two segment download paths, each piece of information representative of a download path being associated with a network interface, and at least two network interfaces being distinct. The downloading device obtains at least one piece of information on distribution of requests for downloading segments by network interface, and for at least one segment of the audiovisual content to be downloaded, it selects a network interface from among the network interfaces associated with the download paths included in the description file, as a function of the information on distribution of requests obtained. A segment download request is then sent via the selected network interface.
