A content sending method includes: a server obtains video media content and additional information content, indicates a calling terminal to complete resource reservation for transmitting the video media content and the additional information content, transmits the video media content to a first port set of the calling terminal, and transmits the additional information content to a second port set of the calling terminal. In this way, two types of content streams are transmitted to the calling terminal by using channels of the two port sets, and a function of providing an additional service in a process of playing a video ring back tone is implemented.

The call processing method includes: receiving, by a customized alerting tone server, a call request sent by a calling terminal, and forwarding the call request to a called terminal; receiving a called terminal ringing message, and playing a customized alerting tone audio stream and a customized alerting tone video stream to the calling terminal; receiving a called terminal message indicating that a called user answers a call, and performing call media resource negotiation and customized alerting tone video resource negotiation with the calling terminal; and stopping playing the customized alerting tone audio stream to the calling terminal, and playing the customized alerting tone video stream to the calling terminal. The customized alerting tone continuous playing solution of the present invention enriches user experience and improves network usage.

A system and method for playing audio messages between signal tones in a telephonic call. The signal tones indicate the status or progress of the ongoing call and is played at timed intervals. The system can play audio messages between the signal tones that can be heard by the caller. The audio messages can be advertisements.

A method of playing media content in a telecommunication network is disclosed. The method involves uploading media content on a server (100) by a caller device (400). The method further includes selecting at least one callee device (500) from a contact list of the device (400) via a predefined application (300). Further, the method includes forwarding the content from the server to a selected callee device (500). The method is followed by outputting the content by the application (300) on the selected device (500). The content is selected by the device (400), and the content is output at least one of when the selected device (500) is receiving a call from the device (400) or the selected device (500) is commencing the call to the device (400), the content being played on the selected device (500) by capturing ring signal via a ring signal capturing module (250).

A server, a system, a computer program product, and a method for generating information relating to a subscriber B with respect to a call connection attempt from a subscriber A to the subscriber B by a server. The method including steps of receiving event data; determining when the event data comprises an event representing a busy state; determining when the previous event represents a call ringing state; generating an indication that the call connection attempt is rejected by the subscriber B; and in response to a determination that the previous event does not represent the call ringing state, generating an indication that the call connection attempt did not reach the subscriber B.

The disclosure more particularly relates to a system and method for effectuating real time shaped data transfer during call setup procedure in a telecommunication network, where selection is made to shape the data transfer during call setup by called party, providing a dynamic tone service operation, where dynamic tone consists of dynamic ring back tone and dynamic busy tone.

A method and an apparatus for processing a call to an aggregate endpoint device over a network are disclosed. For example, the method receives a session request by a Serving-Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF), wherein a route header for the session request comprises an aggregate endpoint identifier, and interacts with an application server to receive a Public User Identity (PUID) of the aggregate endpoint device in accordance with the aggregate endpoint identifier. The method performs a termination processing for the session request using the PUID of the aggregate endpoint device, and forwards the session request towards the aggregate endpoint device.

When a parameter included in a session start request indicates that a session-start-request-transmitting terminal device has reserved a resource, a parameter value rewrite unit rewrites the value of the parameter into a value indicating the resource unreserved. A session start request transmission control unit controls a communication unit to cause a session start request after the value of the parameter is rewritten to be transmitted to a session-start-request-receiving network. When the parameter value rewrite unit has not rewritten the value of the parameter, the received session start request is transmitted. The user of the mobile device is presented with a notification of an incoming call and is provided with an opportunity to answer the call in a traditional fashion, to optionally engage the centralized mobile carrier voicemail system, or to instead have the mobile device manage options relating to locally obtaining a voicemail from a maker of the incoming call. When the mobile device manages obtaining a voicemail from the maker of the incoming call, the voicemail is originally obtained and is stored locally, without use of centralized carrier resources at the time of recording the voicemail, and the mobile device can also play the recorded voicemail at any time without use of the centralized carrier resources.
