Control of user equipment functionality
A method and apparatus provide for controlling the user equipment in a telecommunication network having a network control node. A method may be performed at the network control node and a method may also be performed at a user equipment within a telecommunication network. The method performed at the user equipment comprises: receiving an incoming call signal, the incoming call signal comprising a combined automatic answer and loudspeaker activation indication; in response to the incoming call signal, automatically answering the incoming call and activating a loudspeaker on the user equipment.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO PARSE MESSAGE FOR PROVIDING ALERT AT DEVICE
In one aspect, a device includes a processor and storage accessible to the processor. The storage bears instructions executable by the processor to parse content of a message and determine, based on the parsing of content of the message, whether to provide a notification using the device. The instructions are also executable by the processor to provide the notification responsive to a determination, based on the parsing of content of the message, to provide the notification using the device.
Use based scalable instant voice communication
Systems and methods are provided for limiting the number of persistent voice connections for a user and for configuring dynamic connections to appear from the user's perspective as if they were persistent connections. When the user initiates a call over a dynamic connection the user's voice is stored until the connection is established at which time the user's voice will continue to be stored and will also be transmitted over the connection until the voice being stored and the voice being transmitted become the same.
Systems and methods for special called number call handling
Systems and methods which provide enhanced call handling for special called numbers, such as emergency dispatch numbers, are disclosed. An enhanced call handling application of embodiments monitors a native calling application to determine if a call attempt has been made with respect to a number for which enhanced call handling is provided and makes one or more determinations with respect to the success of the attempt. When it is determined that the call attempt was not successful or may not have otherwise been satisfactory to the user, the enhanced call handling application of embodiments operates to facilitate initiating the call via an alternative network, such as by prompting the user regarding initiating the call via the alternative network or by autonomously initiating the call via the alternative network.
INTERACTIVE ADVISORY SYSTEM FOR PRIORITIZING CONTENT
A method for passing content to at least one communicator device. The user of a communicator device registers with at least one service provider for delivering a plurality of different types of content to be passed to the at least one communicator device. A user defined priority is assigned to the at least one type of content. The user defined priority is stored on a computer readable medium. The different types of content are passed to the at least one communicator device based on the user defined priority.
METHOD, DEVICE AND MEDIUM FOR ESTABLISHING SERVICE CONNECTION
A method, device and medium for establishing service connection are provided. The method includes: when a first-type service connection has been established, receiving a connection request message sent from a network device, the connection request message at least carrying the second-type service connection; and determining whether to establish the second-type service connection with the network device according to the first-type service connection and the second-type service connection, and responding according to the determination result.
Fault Routing Of An Emergency Communication
Aspects of the disclosure relate to routing of an emergency communication under fault conditions. Routing can be implemented in a packet-switching (PS) network that provides voice service. For a network node of the PS network, availability to route the emergency communication through a specific emergency service routing number (ESRN) can be determined and, in response to the network node being unavailable, administrative data associated with the ESRN can be accessed. In addition, an identifier associated with the administrative data can be updated (e.g., created or modified) with data indicative of the device that originated the emergency communication. The administrative data and the resulting identifier can be delivered to a second network node that can route the emergency communication to an emergency service network.
Intelligent/selective coverage mechanism
Disclosed is a system and method for enabling a caller to specify call coverage and bridging treatment preferences and or directives. The treatment may be specified by using SIP header parameters of an INVITE request associated with the call. The treatment may also be specified by an enterprise communication system, or equivalent, by engaging an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to collect a caller's coverage preferences.
Method for managing incoming calls in mobile devices
A method that enables a callee to manage incoming voice calls in a way that in a period of time that he sets the method prevents the operation of the alerts mechanisms of his mobile device. In case of an incoming voice call the method sends a notice to the caller mobile device notifying that the callee prefers to receive now only urgent voice calls. The method enables the caller to decide according to his sole discretion whether to complete this voice call.
