Method and device for filtering a communication
A method for filtering an original communication, being generated by a caller device toward a called device, and identified by an uncertified caller identity and by at least one certified caller identity. The method includes: verifying a condition satisfied if the uncertified caller identity and the at least one certified caller identity are different; and if the condition is satisfied, detecting expiry of a waiting duration following the verification, this duration being equivalent to the duration of at least one ring; and following the expiry and if no message is detected indicating the end of the original communication, presenting to the called device the original communication with at least one caller identity from among the uncertified caller identity and the at least one certified caller identity, the original communication not being presented to the called device before the detection.
Location Determination and Telephone Number Distribution for Emergency Calls
Location determination and telephone number distribution for emergency calls is enabled by a telephony system which maintains multiple pools of telephone numbers. Each pool corresponds to a different region such that the pools of telephone numbers are defined at the region-level rather than at the site-level. The telephony system determines the location of a calling device initiating an emergency call regardless of whether the calling device is at a known site. Based on the determined location of the calling device, one of the pools of telephone numbers which corresponds to that location is selected. The telephony system thereafter distributes a telephone number for the calling device to use for the emergency call from that selected pool of telephone numbers to facilitate an emergency call between the calling device and a local public safety answering point.
ROUTING INCOMING CALLS MADE TO ONE OR MORE UNREACHABLE NUMBERS INTO A DATA CLIENT
A method and a call routing system (CRS) are provided for routing an incoming call made to one of multiple numbers of a user to a call receiving client application (CRCA) deployed on one or more user devices when the called number is not reachable. The CRS, in communication with the CRCA deployed on one or more user devices, sets up a user account using one or more of the user's multiple numbers. The CRS detects availability of the CRCA on one or more user devices over a data network to accept an incoming call. The CRS receives the incoming call made to one of the numbers, when the called number is not reachable. The CRS routes the incoming call to the CRCA on one or more user devices over the data network on detecting the availability of the CRCA on one or more user devices over the data network.
System and Method for Modifying Communication Information (MCI)
A method for processing a communication between a first party and a second party is disclosed. A communication is received from the first party, the communication having first party information, and second party information. An entry in a database is identified that matches at least one of the first party information and the second party information and for which a predetermined rule is satisfied. A telephone number associated with the matching database entry is selected. The selected telephone number is transmitted to the second party.
Providing temporary callback number for emergency calls
A system, method, and computer readable medium comprising instructions for providing temporary callback number for emergency calls is disclosed. A determination is made as to whether a restriction is imposed on a mobile user for incoming calls. A temporary callback number for the mobile user is generated if the restriction is imposed. A request for a callback to the mobile user comprising the temporary callback number is detected. The callback is routed to the mobile user using the temporary callback number.
Conferencing and meeting implementations with advanced features
Meeting and conferencing systems and methods are implemented in a variety of manners. Consistent with one embodiment of the present disclosure, an audio conference system includes communications circuitry and a caller interface, each associated with setting up or managing the audio conference. Menu options may be provided to validate or authenticate incoming telephony calls. In response to a selection of the menu options, an incoming telephony call may be prompted to select a callback number, and then the system monitors for a trigger event. A participant is contacted in response to detecting the trigger event, and the contacted participant is then placed into the audio conference.
Digital sentiment signature generation
In an approach to generating a digital sentiment signature to characterize an end to a communication, one or more computer processors detect a start of a communication between at least two participants. A computer starts a digital timer of the communication. A computer identifies one or more digital marks of the communication, where the one or more digital marks are a reflection of a sentiment of at least one of the at least two participants in the communication. A computer generates a digital sentiment signature based on the digital timer and on the one or more digital marks, where the digital sentiment signature is a digital signal that can be communicated across a plurality of types of communication channels. A computer detects an end of the communication. A computer determines a reason for the end of the communication. A computer stores the reason.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDIRECTING AN EMERGENCY CALLBACK TO A CONTACT OF AN EMERGENCY CALLER
A device may determine that a failure occurred in an emergency call between a public-safety answering point (PSAP) and a first user device associated with an emergency caller, and may identify, based on determining the failure, one of a first option, a second option, or a third option for redirecting an emergency callback to a contact of the emergency caller. The device may cause, when the first option is identified, the emergency callback to be redirected to a second user device associated with the contact of the emergency caller, and may cause, when the first option is identified, a bearer path to be established between the PSAP and the second user device for the emergency callback.
Callback Notification From Devices With Insufficient Credit For Communication
A method and a callback notification system (CNS) are provided for sending a missed call ring alert (MCRA) from a source number to a destination number. The CNS receives communication information from a calling party device (CGPD) or a network thereof, when an unsuccessful communication attempt is made by the CGPD to contact a called party device (CDPD), and places a call to the destination number with an identification of an originator of the call as the source number using the communication information. The CNS identifies a ring of the CDPD when the call successfully reaches the destination number and terminates the call before chargeable completion of the call, thereby sending an MCRA from the source number of the CGPD to the destination number of the CDPD. The CNS sends one or more alternative callback notifications to the destination number, concurrently with the MCRA or if the MCRA is unsuccessful.
AUTOMATIC AFTER CALL APPLICATION DOWNLOAD PLATFORM
This disclosure provides methods, systems, and platforms for automatically prompting a mobile device user to download an application to their mobile device after a triggering event. Triggering events include calling a business, receiving a call from a business, and navigating to a website. In some embodiments, a business can run a targeted campaign to automatically prompt a mobile device user to download an application. In some embodiments, the platform interacts with an application installed on the mobile device. The prompt displayed on the mobile device includes an actionable option to download an application.
