Briefly, a variety of embodiments, including the following, are described: a system embodiment and methods that allow random access to voice messages, in contrast to sequential access in existing system embodiments; a system embodiment and methods that allow for the optional use of voice recognition to enhance usability; and a system embodiment and methods that apply to the area of voicemail.

A system for determining the status of an answered telephone during the course of an outbound telephone call includes an automated telephone calling device for placing a telephone call to a location having a telephone number at which a target person is listed, upon the telephone call being answered, initiating a prerecorded greeting which asks for the target person and receiving a spoken response from an answering person and a speech recognition device for performing a speech recognition analysis on the spoken response to determine a status of the spoken response. If the speech recognition device determines that the answering person is the target person, the speech recognition device initiates a speech recognition application with the target person.

Systems and methods are described herein for a computer-based communication application that displays, along with an incoming call notification, content specific to the parties involved. The application identifies electronic records of events attended by the users, and retrieves content specific to those records. For example, the application may identify electronic mail or meeting notifications sent between the users and concerning a particular subject matter. Images related to that subject matter are then retrieved and displayed during calls between those users. Users are thus presented with customized and personalized content specific to the subject matter of each call, thus helping them better recognize callers and more readily engage with the call.

Systems and methods are described herein for a computer-based communication application that displays, along with an incoming call notification, content specific to the parties involved. A mobile device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a processor; a call module which operates by control of the processor and is configured to receive an incoming call; a service module which operates by control of the processor and is configured to automatically connect the incoming call when an automatic call response service is set in the mobile device; and an interworking module which operates by control of the processor and is configured to perform a preset function of the mobile device in response to a request from the service module after the incoming call is connected by the service module. Using the mobile device, it is possible that the mobile device automatically receives the incoming call without a user's intervention according to the setting.

According to an example implementation, a method may include transmitting, by a user device to a base station in a wireless network, a system information request for on-demand system information during a random access procedure, where the system information request is a request for one or more parameters that enable the user device to communicate in the wireless network, receiving, by the user device from the base station, an indication of a wait period in which the user device waits before obtaining the on-demand system information, waiting, by the user device, a time duration during the wait period, and monitoring, by the user device after expiration of the wait period, a system information window in which a system information message having the on-demand system information is broadcasted by the base station.

A method and system to share advertisement content from a main reception device to a secondary reception device. The method comprising steps of: receiving a transmitted content containing at least one advertisement topic on the main reception device from a transmission center, said main reception device being associated with a user identification, selecting the advertisement topic for sharing ad content with the secondary reception device, retrieving an identifier related to said advertisement topic, selecting one destination address corresponding to a secondary device, sending a notification to a management center, said notification comprising at least the ad identifier, the destination address and the user identification, storing, in a database at the management center in a user record corresponding to the user identification, at least the ad identifier and the destination address, retrieving an ad content corresponding to the ad identifier, pushing the advertisement content to the secondary device corresponding to the destination address.

The present disclosure relates to a method of data transmission of On-Board Unit for vehicle infotainment service and system using thereof. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a method of data transmission of a vehicular communication device and a system thereof to receive service advertisement message from other vehicular communication device when failing to receive a service advertisement message that is broadcasted from a Road-Side Unit.

A voice play method includes: obtaining at least one piece of data information, and determining an information type of the at least one piece of data information; when it is determined that the voice play device is in a voice play mode, determining voice play content of the at least one piece of data information according to a specified correspondence between an information type and voice play content and the determined information type of the at least one piece of data information; and playing the voice play content of the at least one piece of data information in a voice manner.

Prompt snippets (typically 800 ms long) that are used to detect voice prompts within a call waveform may be divided into smaller sniplet portions (approx. 100 ms) long. The presence of a prompt in a call waveform may be detected by detecting the sniplets and determining if a sufficient number of the sniplets of a snippet were detected in sequence and within allowable time constraints. The use of sniplets improves accuracy of prompt detection in call waveforms in lower quality transmissions.
