Device Group Partitions and Settlement Platform
Device group partitions and a settlement platform are provided. In some embodiments, device group partitions (e.g., partitions of devices based on associated device groups) are provided. In some embodiments, a settlement platform service is provided. In some embodiments, a settlement platform service is provided for partitioned devices. In some embodiments, collecting device generated service usage information for one or more devices in wireless communication on a wireless network; and aggregating the device generated service usage information for a settlement platform for the one or more devices in wireless communication on the wireless network is provided. In some embodiments, a settlement platform implements a service billing allocation and/or a service/transactional revenue share among one or more partners. In some embodiments, service usage information includes micro-CDRs, which are used for CDR mediation or reconciliation that provides for service usage accounting on any device activity that is desired. In some embodiments, each device activity that is desired to be associated with a billing event is assigned a micro-CDR transaction code, and a service processor of the device is programmed to account for that activity associated with that transaction code. In some embodiments, a service processor executing on a wireless communications device periodically reports (e.g., during each heartbeat or based on any other periodic, push, and/or pull communication technique(s)) micro-CDR usage measures to, for example, a service controller or some other network element for CDR mediation or reconciliation.
Background Data Transfer Policy Formulation Method, Apparatus, and System
Embodiments of this application disclose a background data transfer policy formulation method, an apparatus, and a system. The method includes: A first policy control network element sends, to a first network element, a first message used to request a background data transfer policy stored in the first network element, and obtains, from the first network element, the background data transfer policy stored in the first network element and second decision information that is used to formulate a second background data transfer policy. The first policy control network element formulates a first background data transfer policy based on first decision information used to formulate the first background data transfer policy and the second decision information and according to the background data transfer policy stored in the first network element.
Systems and methods for utilizing limits to determine policy decisions not related to session management
A network device may receive a request for determination of a first non-session management policy control decision for a UE, and may provide an account limits request to another network device based on the request. The network device may receive, from the other network device, account limits for the UE, and may determine a first non-session management policy control service for the UE based on the account limits. The network device may cause the UE to be provisioned with a service based on the first non-session management policy control service, and may receive a request for determination of a second non-session management policy control decision for the UE. The network device may determine a second non-session management policy control service for the UE based on the account limits, and may cause the UE to be provisioned with a service based on the second non-session management policy control service.
SERVICE GUARANTEE METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provide a service guarantee method and apparatus. The method is applied to a scenario in which a remote terminal device accesses a network via a relay device. The method includes: A PCC rule generated by a policy control network element based on subscription data of the remote terminal device includes a second quality of service QoS parameter of a second communication interface between the remote terminal device and the relay device, so that a session management network element can generate, according to the received PCC rule, a second QoS rule corresponding to the second communication interface, and the session management network element can send the second QoS rule to the relay device. The QoS rule required by the second communication interface is generated based on the subscription data of the remote terminal device, and the remote terminal device can access a service via the relay device.
Information presenting device, information presenting method and recording medium
To provide portable information processing devices which is capable of effectively presenting to a user an action that improves communication quality. The information presenting devices include: a communication quality acquisition means that acquires current communication quality and communication quality when a user takes an action; an action cost calculation means that calculates a cost of the action; an information presentation determining means that determines whether information about the action is to be displayed, based on the current communication quality, the communication quality when the action is taken, and the action cost; an action information generating means that determines the action based on the communication quality when the action is taken and the action cost when the information presentation determining means determines that information about the action is to be displayed; and an information presenting means that displays information about the action determined by the action information generating means.
Method for managing fronthaul network, apparatus, computer program product, and data set
A method for managing a fronthaul network in a wireless communication system, the fronthaul network comprising several distributed units and one or more central units, is proposed. The method comprises: performing fronthaul network dynamic configuration on the fronthaul network, the fronthaul network dynamic configuration comprising, at a controller of the wireless communication system: obtaining information indicating a positioning of the mobile terminal, obtaining, based on the information indicating a positioning of the mobile terminal, a set of one or more active distributed units among the plurality of distributed units, determining first associations between each of the active distributed units and one or more first respective central units of the one or more central units, and configuring communication links between each of the active distributed units and their first respective one or more central units according to the determined first associations.
ENHANCED REAL-TIME NETWORK CONSUMPTION TRACKING FOR WIRELESS NETWORKS
A real-time network consumption tracking service is provided. A charging function (CHF) device receives transaction records of network consumption by user equipment (UE) devices in a wireless network and generates individual event messages based on each of the transaction records. Each of the individual event messages includes a detailed record based on one of the transaction records. The CHF device associates each of the individual event messages with a message bus topic, formats each of the individual event messages for publication on the message bus, and publishes each of the formatted individual event messages to the message bus. The message bus is accessible to external systems that generate dynamic network consumption data sets based on the formatted individual event messages.
MTC device, method and apparatus
An MTC device is provided, including: a memory unit for storing a switching condition for switching at least any one of a SIM and a communication carrier in association with each of sets of the SIM and communication carrier; a measuring unit for measuring communication quality for a set of the SIM and the communication carrier currently in use; and a control unit for controlling the switching of at least any one of the SIM and the communication carrier, when the communication quality satisfies the switching condition associated with the set of the SIM and the communication carrier currently in use.
REPORT INFORMATION SENDING METHOD, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
In a report information sending method, a first session management network element receives first report information, which includes first indication information and an identifier of a first alternative QoS profile, from a user plane network element. The first indication information indicates that a QoS requirement of a first QoS flow cannot be guaranteed. The first session management network element sends second report information, which includes second indication information and an identifier of a first alternative service requirement, to an application function network element. The identifier of the first alternative service requirement corresponds to the identifier of the first alternative QoS profile. The second indication information indicates that a QoS requirement of a first service data flow cannot be guaranteed. The first QoS flow is configured to transmit the first service data flow, which is a service data flow of an application corresponding to the application function network element.
