ROUTING OF TOLL-FREE NUMBERS AND TEXT MESSAGES USING A TOLL-FREE EXCHANGE
Aspects of this disclosure are directed to a method of routing text messages to subscribers of toll-free numbers using the toll-free exchange. Typically, an originating texter will draft a text message, using, for example, an SMS component of a cellular phone to a toll-free subscriber. In an aspect of the present disclosure, the text message is sent to the originating texter's service provider, which then routes the text message to the toll-free exchange. The toll-free exchange looks up the RESPORG ID associated with the ten-digit toll-free number, and the RESPORG ID is used for text message routing.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHONE NUMBER FRAUD PREDICTION
A method including: receiving one or more datasets indicating call activity corresponding to a phone number; analyzing the one or more datasets to identify unusual call activity; and generating a fraud prediction, based at least in part on the identified unusual call activity, that the phone number will be used for fraud.
PROCESS FOR PERSONALIZING AN ELECTRONIC GREETING WITH A VOICE MESSAGE
A process for personalizing an electronic greeting includes remotely connecting with a website and selecting an electronic greeting or song from a library. One or more personalized audio messages are created. The personalized audio messages are associated with the selected electronic greeting song. The electronic greeting song with the personalized audio message is then transmitted to at least one recipient.
Telephone session initiation system
A method is presented that allows for coordination between parties wanting to communicate. The method serves to replace the current ‘synchronous’ method of phone session initiation (which allows random people to interrupt one's flow) with a system that allows both parties to indicate when they are ready and willing to communicate with particular parties. Instead of a first party directly calling a second party, both indicate readiness to talk to each other by means of (for instance) status indicators on a smartphone, thereby eliminating the obtrusive nature of the time-limited phone ring. The method also includes an apparatus that determines which is the optimal party to actually place the call such that overall expenses may be minimized.
Synchronous interfacing with unaffiliated networked systems to alter functionality of sets of electronic assets
Systems and methods for managing a set of electronic assets from a single location are disclosed. The method includes providing a portal with a network security access control. The method includes determining that login credentials input to the access control are associated with a set of electronic assets corresponding to a plurality of third-party computing systems with application programming interface (API) gateways configured to accept API calls directed to changes in functionality of the electronic assets. The method includes presenting, via the portal, a virtual icon to identify a coordinated action with respect to the set of electronic assets and, in response to a selection of the virtual icon, executing a set of API calls that include an asset-specific API call to each third-party computing system in the plurality of third-party computing systems to implement the coordinated action on all electronic assets in the set of electronic assets.
Dynamic Distribution In An Offline Charging System
Systems and methods are provided for processing messages in an Offline Charging System (OFCS) of a communications services provider. A front-end distributor unit receives Diameter messages from a Charging Trigger Function (CTF) and distributes the Diameter messages to Charging Data Function (CDF) units of the OFCS. The distributor unit receives Diameter response messages from CDFs and calculates performance metrics based on the distributed messages and their responses. The distributor unit computes revised distribution weights used for distributing new Diameter messages for new Diameter sessions to the CDF units based on the measured metrics, thus adjusting the distribution pattern of the Diameter messages based on estimated workload conditions at the CDFs.
Third Party Sponsored Short Messaging Service
The methods and systems disclosed herein, enable mobile communications operators to modify and reposition the SMS messaging platform by allowing users to send SMS messages sponsored by third party content that tags along with the original user content. An example of the method comprises: a) receiving at an intermediary network service node, a mobile originating message from a first user on a first telephony device, addressed to a second user on a second telephony device; b) modifying the content of the original message to include additional third party text; and c) sending the modified message to the second user on the second telephony device. In a variant of the method, the original text message content is replaced with an Internet uniform resource locator (URL) referencing the original text content.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DATA CHANNEL AUGMENTED VOICE TELEPHONY SYSTEMS
A computerized method of terminating audio telephone calls that provides the other party with more information as to why the telephone call was terminated. This method, which is particularly useful for computerized smartphones equipped with voice and data channel communications methods, automatically provides the user with a variety of different informative text messages that can be selected by the user and sent to the other party at the time that a voice call is terminated.
Method and system for enabling usage of mobile telephone services on a donor device
A system and method can allow a first subscriber who is unable to use his mobile device due to theft, damage, loss, or any other reason to authenticate himself on a telecommunications network using a second subscriber's mobile device. The system and method can also allow the first subscriber to continue to make and receive calls and messages with the second subscriber's mobile device. Any charges incurred by usage of the second subscriber's mobile device by the first subscriber can be billed to an account associated with the first subscriber.
COMMUNICATION EXCHANGE FOR LOCAL DATA SERVICES
The present invention is directed towards a communication exchange system where an ecosystem of one or more HPMN and VPMN operators that are connected to a gateway/exchange that facilitates local data services for users. These users are roaming in the VPMN over existing roaming relationship between VPMN and their HPMN. The local data services are facilitated by adding an identifier to APN. The communication exchange systems also includes an interface that maintains a bi-directional connection with the gateway to exchange information related to the roaming services, and a bi-directional connection with users via their mobile devices' user interface.
