Squat exercise apparatus
A squat exercise apparatus may comprise a support structure, a user adjustable resistance source and lift arms supported by the support structure and operably coupled to the user adjustable resistance source. In one implementation, the lift arms may be pivotable relative to the support structure about three orthogonal axes. In one implementation, shoulder pads carried by the lift arms may automatically pivot in response to pivoting of the lift arms relative to the support structure. In one implementation, at least one weight movement arm may have an adjustable length. In one implementation, a weight movement arm rest may be pivotable between a weight movement arm engaging position and a retracted position, wherein interacting portions of the weight movement arm rest and the weight movement arm are magnetically attracted to one another to magnetically retain the weight movement arm rest in the weight movement arm engaging position.
APPARATUS FOR PHYSICAL EXERCISE
An apparatus for physical exercise comprising a resistance arrangement having at least one hydraulic cylinder adapted for providing resistance forces in at least a first and a second direction, the apparatus having a force transmission assembly through which the resistance forces are operable. The force transmission assembly having at least one actuation member being in operable engagement therewith and being adapted to transfer forces generated by a user in at least two directions of motion to the at least one hydraulic cylinder via the force transmission assembly. The resistance forces created by the at least one hydraulic cylinder opposing the user generated forces.
Abdominal exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus for performing an abdominal exercise comprising: a frame, a seat having a seating surface (PS) and a pelvic stabilization pad having a lower back engagement surface (ES), an input arm assembly interconnected by a first interconnection to a first resistance mechanism, the input arm assembly including a manually graspable mechanism for manual engagement by a user along a path of travel forwardly away from the pelvic stabilization pad.
KINETIC RESISTANCE APPARATUS
A portable and kinetic motion resistance upper body invention that can be used for a variety of exercises. This invention combines dial tension adjustment clutch sheaves, a variable linear tract bearing and a one piece resistance shock-cord, together these core components achieve a unique minimal impact work-out. The multi-motion and changeable adjustments for this invention, result in a wide variety of muscular stimulation and therapeutic exercises that are non-existent in the fitness and health industry. The outcome of the mechanism can be customized for a particular sport requirement or physio and other therapeutic restorations, or even for case specific industrial and robotic counter-balancing controls. This invention is can also be used as a lift-assist device.
CLIMBING EXERCISER
A climbing exerciser includes a base mount, and left and right racks respectively located at left and right sides of the base mount and reciprocatingly moveable up and down. The left rack has a lower left member and an upper left member swivelable relative to the lower left member between a first outer position and a first inner position. The right rack has a lower right member and an upper right member swivelable relative to the lower right member between a second outer position and a second inner position. By adjusting the postures of the upper left and right members relative to the lower left and right members respectively, the climbing exerciser can shift exercise mode from one to another. Further, the climbing exerciser can provide smooth and more natural movements to the user with low noise.
CLIMBING EXERCISER
A climbing exerciser includes a base mount, left and right racks located at left and right sides of the base mount respectively, two left links each having an end pivotally connected with the base mount and the other end pivotally connected with the left rack in a way that the left rack is reciprocatingly moveable up and down, two right links each having an end pivotally connected with the base mount and the other end pivotally connected with the right rack in a way that the right rack is reciprocatingly moveable up and down, and a motion linking device disposed to the base mount and linked with the left rack and the right rack in a way that the right rack lowers when the left rack raises. As such, the climbing exerciser can provide smooth and more natural movements to the user with low noise and various exercise modes.
HIPPOTHERAPY DEVICE
A hippotherapy device includes a saddle for receiving a person thereon, a programmable movement control, and an automatic movement device for automatically moving the saddle according to a movement pattern program. The program specifies a sequence of target values of positions and orientations of the saddle in the locality of the movement device in order to execute the movement pattern. The hippotherapy device further includes a person securing device having a main support on which a body strap is mounted, at least one sensor for detecting at least one physical variable characterizing the body posture of the person on the saddle, and an auxiliary control device configured to compare expected values of the physical variable with current values of the physical variable detected by the sensor, and to trigger an associated safety function, if a deviation of the current values from the expected values exceeds a predetermined tolerance threshold.
Repetition phase detection
Controlling an exercise machine includes receiving a stream of measurements of extension of a component of an exercise machine. It further includes detecting a first phase of a repeated motion. It further includes detecting a transition to a second phase of the repeated motion. A time constraint is applied to the detection of the transition to the second phase of the repeated motion. It further includes controlling a resistance associated with the second phase of the repeated motion.
Weight exercise machine
The present invention relates to a weight exercise machine and training methods for development and strengthening of muscles and joints with exercises aimed for overcoming a counteracting force with or without measuring equipment, more specifically, to training devices and training methods with the eccentric phase of the training. The weight exercise machine comprises a frame bearing a seat for a user, the seat fastened to the frame; a touch screen connected with a control unit for controlling training modes and monitoring training parameters; an actuator controlled by the control unit; and an interface interacting with the user. Thus, efficiency of weight training can be improved.
Exercise machine support system
An exercise machine support system for providing increased versatility including inclination or declination of an exercise surface, a reduction in the overall length and width of the exercise machine, and an enhanced user interface which reduces the risk of injury. The exercise machine support system generally includes a cantilevered exercise machine which is adapted to have a variable angle of incline or decline with respect to a horizontal ground surface. The exercise machine will generally include a base and a support which extends between the base and the exercise machine. The upper end of the support is connected to the exercise machine by a first pivot such that the exercise machine pivots about the support. An adjustment device may be utilized to pivot the exercise machine and thus adjust its angle of incline. Various types of adjustment devices are disclosed, including an actuator, ratchet-and-pawl, gears, and cam.
